I've been thinking about you @Colleen0516 and can't wait to hear about how your appointment goes tomorrow.
@Jsmorrissey yes, my clinic offers a shared risk program. You pay 14k and try as many times as the number of embryos that you have. If you are unsuccessful, you get $11,500 back. Meds are separate and you don't recoup any of that cost. It really put my mind at ease knowing we'd have money coming back to us. IF is definitely very taboo yet effects so many people!

@BlueEyedDreamerI also agree with the comments regarding your post being
appropriate.
I think when I posted my own u/s photo I believed I had seen
another one with twins some days or weeks before so it did not register that
this would come up. You also may have
posted the same POV after that u/s but with so many posts in one thread I did
not see it.
When posting my own photo, I think it was more of a being
caught up in the moment and wanting to share that with this group of people who
have been there through crummy IUI’s and the rest of this often draining and
stressful process. It was never ever my
intent to cause any harm or discomfort to others, quite honestly that did not
even cross my mind. I was merely excited
and trying to update those who had wished me well the day before or morning of.
You ladies have been like cheerleaders, there when nobody else really knew what
was going on. So for those who may have
been triggered or upset, I truly do apologize.
IF is a crazy, draining process and this board has helped
tremendously without most of you I may have not held it together as well as I
have. So thank you for that.
It is kind of sad and scary moving over to Pregnancy after
IF because its like a new kid in school making new buddies! But I guess that is
the next step in this crazy journey.
Good luck to all of you, you have profoundly made an impact
on my journey, and I wish you nothing but the very best.
PS. @Colleen0516 your in my thoughts today, wishing you the very best! You are one tough cookie, and im so glad we crossed paths on here

Afm- I had my first appointment with my new RE and holy moly was this an eye opening experience. This place is incredibly thorough and having me run a million crazy tests that I never even heard of! Before this appointment, we were told by my last RE that my husbands morphology is the main reason we're having trouble conceiving. Now, this doc is having me question whether I contribute to the problem. Im 27 years old but apparently my egg quality can suffer from things like gluten (what? No pasta?!) and dairy (what?! No ice cream?!)
if it's gonna help, or if there's a remote chance it can help, I am absolutely eliminating these things from my diet and will get all these tests done. He also said my AMH was low for my age and that only recovering 10 eggs from my last attempt is incredibly low. My AMH is 1.86 but I was always told by my last RE that my levels were quite nice and that 10 is an awesome number of follicles. Apparently, I should be closer to 20 eggs for my age. Any feedback guys?
Even now that he's having me question my contribution to our infertility, I'm loving this place so much more than my last clinic. A new RE with a new, fancy schmancy state of the art lab may be just what I need. At least I hope.
Now excuse me while I go clean out my pantry and fridge of all things delicious.
@mous this actually makes me feel very hopeful!! I've got an appt with a new doc in a few weeks. (I wish it was sooner!) but at least I feel like it's a step in the right direction! And about the gluten effecting the eggs, this is great news!! (In a weird sorta way!!) y egg quality is horrible and I did the Whole30 for the entire month of August. I lost 13lbs and it's no grains, dairy, sugar, legumes or alcohol. Very tough but it's amazing how great I feel!! I was so upset about my embryos dying that I totally crashed hard off the wagon. But after 3 weeks out of town and with my mom in town I'm going to start it up again for 2 months, or more. I'm hoping that's what my body needs!! Look into it for yourself as well! Good luck!!
@mous I find that interesting that the Dr. Said that 10 is low for your amh. Mine any is 8.5 and I only needed up with 7 mature eggs out of 40 follies and I'm 25 and they haven't found anything wrong with me. Our problem has mainly been my husbands morphology. I am curious to see of the changes you make will make a difference.
**Trigger warning**
Age: 25 DH: 28 Together since 2011, Married May 2014 and TTC since April 2015
@kyrgyzshan I am absolutely going to look into this! I will try just about anything to make sure this next round is a success. This new RE is clearly more aggressive AND they don't even do 3 day transfers AT ALL bc they are that confident in their lab that the embryos are just as well off in their care as they are in utero. How fantastic is that! He's giving my next chance an 80% chance success rate. That seems high and I'm super skeptical for my own protection but really this place has above average SART rates by a lot.
I I think a new clinic can do wonders for you, too. I'm so happy and hopeful for both of us!! Glad to hear that you're ready for another attempt!!!
@mous- glad to hear you have found a new RE that you are happy with! I am in a somewhat similar situation as you. My AMH is 1.55 and I am 28. Both REs I have had said my AMH is borderline low for my age. After doing a lap surgery, it looks like I only have 1 fully developed ovary and they believe this is the cause of my lower AMH. I started IVF in August but it was cancelled after 2 lead follies took off. Based on my antral follicle count, they were hoping I could get 10-12 follies so now we are starting a new protocol in oct that is for Low responders. If anything, I would request to not be on BC before your cycle bc I really think it suppressed me too much and caused my cancellation. I would also read the book It Starts with the Egg if you want to learn about improving egg quality. My RE has now recommends COQ10 and DHEA to help optimize my quality and quantity. Hope this next cycle is your one that works and happy to share more info if it would help! I know how potentially having lower reserve and quality can be devastating but it doesn't mean there is no hope!

@Mous Your new clinic sounds pretty similar to mine. Mine only does 5 day transfers as well and pushes for everyone to do FETs, to give your body a rest in between, do PGS testing, etc. But they are pretty confident in their ability to get everyone a decent amount of frosties. I hope your new clinic delivers for you!!

Fast Forward: we got 4 fertilized embryos from that cycle. Transferred one fresh, but it did not stick, so we have 3 frozen embryos currently. Went in to the fertility clinic in July to talk about a FET of one of those three frozen embryos, but a new fibroid was discovered, and I was not cleared to do the transfer until I had fibroid removal surgery. 08/11/17 had a mini-laparotomy / myomectomy to remove 6 fibroids, largest sized were the size of golf-balls! Once we were cleared to go about our normal lives (sex!) I got pregnant NATURALLY but it was a chemical pregnancy. The very next month we had another BFP and here we are now with a baby on the way! A TOTAL AND COMPLETE MIRACLE! Watch our YouTube Channel Vlog Here!
I had my lining check today and I'm at 8.7. The nurse also called and said my estrogen is good (482) and progesterone is low. She said everything is perfect and I've been given the go ahead to start PIO tomorrow, along with medrol and low dose aspirin.
Is 8.7 good for lining? Google seems to want to freak me out, as I keep finding studies that recommend you be over 9 for an FET. The nurse assured me that women get pregnant with a lining of 5, but that doesn't mean my chances are high. I know I need to chill, but I've been having an anxious/hopeless day

@wifeinraleigh28 I think 8.7 is still a great lining! I was listening to a podcast episode in the series "Beta Infertility" and they were actually speaking on this subject. I would check it out! Re: August/September IVF/FET

I think when I posted my own u/s photo I believed I had seen another one with twins some days or weeks before so it did not register that this would come up. You also may have posted the same POV after that u/s but with so many posts in one thread I did not see it.
When posting my own photo, I think it was more of a being caught up in the moment and wanting to share that with this group of people who have been there through crummy IUI’s and the rest of this often draining and stressful process. It was never ever my intent to cause any harm or discomfort to others, quite honestly that did not even cross my mind. I was merely excited and trying to update those who had wished me well the day before or morning of. You ladies have been like cheerleaders, there when nobody else really knew what was going on. So for those who may have been triggered or upset, I truly do apologize.
IF is a crazy, draining process and this board has helped tremendously without most of you I may have not held it together as well as I have. So thank you for that.
It is kind of sad and scary moving over to Pregnancy after IF because its like a new kid in school making new buddies! But I guess that is the next step in this crazy journey.
Good luck to all of you, you have profoundly made an impact on my journey, and I wish you nothing but the very best.
PS. @Colleen0516 your in my thoughts today, wishing you the very best! You are one tough cookie, and im so glad we crossed paths on here
@wifeinraleigh28 Good luck with your upcoming FET, wishing you the very best!

D&C on 12/06/17 and started taking BCPs 01/10/17 for the next IVF Cycle, which officially began stims on 02/18/17.

Unexplained/ Endo
Medicated IUIs # 1-3 BFN
IVF #1- BFN
FET #1- BFP; Ectopic pregnancy found at 7wks
FET #2- February 2017 BFP Beta #1- 119 (8dp5dt) Beta #2- 475 (12dp5dt)
DH: 41
Married 10/25/2014 / TTC since 05/2015
1st IUI 05/05/16 Letrozole 7.5 mg CD 3-11 + Ovidrel = BFN
2nd cycle on Letrozole 7.5 mg CD 3-11 + TI = BFN
3rd cycle on Letrozole but did our 2nd IUI on 07/01/16. 10 mg CD 3-11 + Ovidrel = BFN
Onto IVF! Started Lupron on 09/24. Added Gonal F and hcg injections 09/26...... Trigger 10/07. EggRetrieval 10/09. Starting PIO, Estrace, and Medrol 10/10/16. Transferred 2 "strong/beautiful" embryos 10/14/16. Beta 10/28/16 = 998 mIU/mL = BFP with one baby, but miscarried at 9w5d.
D&C on 12/06/17 and started taking BCPs 01/10/17 for the next IVF Cycle, which officially began stims on 02/18/17.
