Good Morning! I wanted to start a thread for us MOMs, but let's see how many of us there are first.
How many are you having?
What was your initial reaction?
How are you planning on (or how did you) announce your multiples?
GTKY: What's your biggest pet peeve?
Re: Moms of Multiples
How many are you having? Twins!
What was your initial reaction? After 2.5 years of fertility treatments we were in shock that we got a positive, much less 2 in there!
How are you planning on (or how did you) announce your multiples? Sent an ultrasound picture that was labeled Twin A to our parents and siblings, haven't announced publicly yet because Baby B is still small.
GTKY: What's your biggest pet peeve? Loud chewers and drinkers!

How many are you having? Twins di/di
What was your initial reaction? all the feels all at once! When she started the us and asked if twins ran in my family I screamed "WHY!!" Then when she was trying to verify there was a second I told my husband I was going to punch him in the face. When she got a good look at baby B I let out a "holy f*#% S%*!!" Then when we heard the second heartbeat I sobbed. It was a rough 15 minutes.
How are you planning on (or how did you) announce your multiples? We called our parents and siblings right away and they thought we were kidding. The other handful of people we've told were stunned. For our official public announcement were do a photo with DD with this picture which may be huge since I'm mobile
GTKY: What's your biggest pet peeve? Umm I've got a long list of them but just a few but I'll start with people that scrape the teeth with their forks and spoons when they eat

We had our first appointment at our birthing center this past Thursday. Apparently some higher powers think that we can handle quite a bit, because we are pregnant with our SECOND set of twins!!! The shock and all the feels (good, bad, and scary) have been flooding in the past few days and I don't think they are about to stop anytime soon. We are extremely blessed, but the thought of a set of 3 year olds and another set of newborns is enough to scare the you-know-what out of anyone!
For the time being, we will not be able to VBAC at the birthing center as they do don't commit to high risk pregnancies. My heart shattered when I was told that because I had such an awesome picture in my head of how I wanted this birth to go. I am currently in the works of trying to find a doctor in our insurance network who will support my desires to VBAC as long as the twins are head down. What a change of plans!!!
DH and I both agree that we have chalked this up to the biggest shock of our lives--way more than with our first set of twins!!! I've read lots of different statistics, but basically we are freaks of nature! Lol
How are you other MOMs feeling lately??
@artemis618--apparently my first set of sons didn't scare me
enough! Lol
I myself am sicker than sick most days. My nights are hell. From like 6pm till 3am I'm useless. I usually throw up at least once before bed and maybe once in the middle of the night. I'm taking dyceglis, and phenergan during the day and a Zoloft at night. I'm praying for some relief in a few weeks.
@java1982 - That's fantastic. Congrats! I just gave birth to our 2nd set of twins 3 weeks ago (our first set it 6 1/2). It's going to be a wild ride. Best of luck to you and your family.
@java1982 WOW! Congrats!
