Good Morning!  I wanted to start a thread for us MOMs, but let's see how many of us there are first.

How many are you having?

What was your initial reaction?

How are you planning on (or how did you) announce your multiples?

Re: Moms of Multiples

  • So excited to lurk here! Twins are so interesting to me, but they definitely do not run in my family. Best of luck and double (triple, quadruple) congrats to all you lovely ladies!

  • You ladies are in for the greatest (craziest!) ride ever. My DI/DI boys were born 12/13 and we are currently pregnant with (hopefully only) our third! Ultrasound tomorrow, I'm nervous as crap that there are going to be multiples in there again! Anyway, my purpose for this post was to let you know that I am always open to help answer any questions if you have them. I know that I was like a walking question mark my first 6 months because I wanted to know answers to everything twin related. I definitely don't know all the answers, but I've "been there done that" and would love to help others if I can. Congrats! I'm so excited for you all!
  • @java1982 Just lurking, and just wanted to share that my (twin) brother and I apparently traumatized our parents enough that they were afraid to try again for fear of another set of twins :p. But this was nearly 40 years ago - and they didn't even find the second one of us till a month before we were born (and we were a week late).  Congrats to all!

  • @java1982 HOLY CRAP!!! You'll be a pro this time. But how exciting!!!

I myself am sicker than sick most days. My nights are hell. From like 6pm till 3am I'm useless. I usually throw up at least once before bed and maybe once in the middle of the night. I'm taking dyceglis, and phenergan during the day and a Zoloft at night. I'm praying for some relief in a few weeks.

@UnwritteN12 --congrats to you!!! Please tell me I'll be able to preserve some of my sanity?!?! Lol I'm so nervous that handling two sets of twins, nursing, and being a working mom is going to drain me of any life that I may have left in me! It's so comforting to know that there are others that can offer advice from experience!
  • Hi ladies.  I'm no longer going to be a MOM.  Went for our ultrasound yesterday and Baby B didn't have a heartbeat.  I wish you all a long, happy, healthy pregnancy.  I will still be on the board, but won't be doing the Moms of Multiple posts.  Does someone else want to take over?

Terrified I'll be joining you ladies. My beta at 5w4d was 10,600. After 10 years of nannying for 5 sets of twins and 5 years with triplets, I think MOMs are amazing and I have no idea how they do it.

  • @Holzie I'm so sorry for your loss of baby B.
