Hey, calling all "advanced maternal age moms" wondering how you are making it?
How are you feeling overall?
How's your energy level?
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time?
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months?
Re: AMA moms - how you doin'?
How are you feeling overall?
Finally getting past the all day sickness and only feel sick if I wait to long to it. I'm out of breathe very quick now and hoping that's just because baby boy is taking up space in there.
How's your energy level?
my energy level is low, and I'm needing a nap everyday. I'm gonna ask about my iron level next week at my appt. I have trouble getting my normal stuff done because I'm just too worn down.
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time? It's harder I think than my other pregnancies. My last living child is 5 and while it was hard I don't remember feeling this weak & tired.
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months? I'm trying to savor each day as I will never do this again but after 2 losses I can't wait to hold my beautiful baby boy in my arms. I think to get to viability will ease my fears a little.
I'm 37 and this is my second pregnancy, son is 3. I feel pretty bad overall. I'm achy all over most days. Heartburn is killing me, and I'm still nauseous on and off.
How's your energy level?
My energy level is super low too. I think mine is just age related though. I work full time. When I get home, I basically just crawl into bed for the night. Maybe I should have them check my iron at my appointment ogle Wednesday.
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time?
I was 33 when I had my son, so not a young mom. This time can't even compare to the last. I feel every bit of those 4 years older. It's way tougher than I anticipated.
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months?
This is also my last pregnancy. I'm looking forward to getting to 30 weeks. I think I'll be able to see the end, and it will give me strength to power through at that point. Lol.
How are you feeling overall?
Overall, I feel a bit crampy, a lot less MS (but still some daily) and slightly tired. I also have daily headaches which are unpleasant. I had a weird dizzy spell yesterday, first time for that but nothing came of it other than me needing to sit down for a minute. It was a bit scary as I was in the middle of giving my toddlers a bath but all I had to do was change positions and it cleared. I wonder if this is the result of baby resting on a major vein or something. If it happens again I'll call my dr.
How's your energy level?
Energy pepped up somewhat since first tri; hoping it stays.
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time?
This is my third and hardest PG thus far. Every symptom was more intense than ever before. I'm trying to watch my weight gain more so this time around to minimize any complications that would be self created. The MS is taking care of my appetite so I don't feel challenged in monitoring my weight. Last two PG's I gained 55 and 50 lbs respectively so I want to try to keep this closer to the 30 lb mark.
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months?
Honestly, I'm really looking forward to bringing baby home and caring for her. I am in the sweet spot of PG now (looked forward to this milestone) and I just remember how hard the third tri was so I just hope for a speedy 5 months to never have to be pregnant again. It is so hard on our bodies.
How are you feeling overall?
Not bad, though I am definitely feeling this pregnancy more. I don't think it is age related, just a different set of symptoms.
How's your energy level?
Haha, not high. Last time, when I got home from work I could basically lie on the couch until bedtime. This time I have a preschooler to chase around.
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time?
It's different. Last time I had barely any symptoms until the very end. This time I've has MS, aches and pains, etc. It is going a lot faster this time though - last time all I had to do was sit around and think about being pregnant. This time I have plenty to distract me and I can't believe how fast it is going!
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months?
My next mental milestone is viability. After that, 3rd tri!
Jan17 Sept Sig: Pumpkin Spice gone too far
How are you feeling overall? Overall, I can't complain too much.
How's your energy level? Much better than 1st tri, but I get tired and winded very easily. Especially dealing with a toddler after a long day at work. However, my libido has really picked up over the last week which is nice
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time? My DD will be 3 next month and I definitely feel all three years. My pregnancy with her was so easy and laid back with very mild symptoms. This time, I LOOK older and feel every ache, pain, stretch etc. It takes nothing to wear me out.
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months? Honestly, I'm just looking forward to birth. This is my last and I really just can't wait to be done and have my baby here.
I'm 38 and will be 39 when this baby is born...
How are you feeling overall? I definitely have more energy than I did in first tri. Acid Reflux is a bitch! Feeling crampy the last few days and I am hoping it is because of a growth spurt. I am not getting great sleep and waking up 2-4x a night to pee... ugh! My back has been killing me and I know it is just going to get worse! But I'll gladly go through it all to hold that baby in my arms in the end.
How's your energy level? see above
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time? This is my second pregnancy but hopefully first rainbow baby.
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months? Viability! I am still in denial that this is actually going to happen...

How are you feeling overall? No complaints here.
How's your energy level? I'm exhausted by the end of the day, but I do pretty well until then.
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time? Great! I didn't have a lot of issues with the last pregnancy, but I was definitely just feeling overall yucky and tired all the time. This is completely different. Partly I think I'm forced to be more active with my toddler, and partly because I just haven't gained so much weight so fast this time.
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months? Well, starting a family so late in life, with each pregnancy, I'm not sure if it's going to be my last or not, so I'm really trying to embrace the now, just in case it's the last time. I'd like to do this one more time, but you never know. So slow down that clock, please, and let me enjoy eating all the carbs and rubbing on my belly that's not debilitatingly ginormous quite yet -- ha.
How are you feeling overall? - achy, sore, tired, feeling old.
How's your energy level? -It comes and goes and is directly related to how crappy my sleep is the night before.
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time? - The first one was a breeze compared to this one
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months? Ready to get into the 3rd trimester so I have a legit reason to tell people to f'off and let me stay on the couch all day. This is my last baby so I'm ready to just enjoy it without being expected to still be superwoman.
How are you feeling overall? More tired then the last two. More achy, insomnia is kicking my rear this time around.
How's your energy level? Much better now that I have been out of 1st tri. Also depends on sleep and how active my littlest is that day.
If you have been pregnant before, how does this one compare to the last time? Feeling the extra 2 yrs older with this one. Wasn't as sick this time around but lack of energy is really the kicker with a 2 yr old running around.
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to in the coming months? Was really happy Anotomy scan went well. Little one was moving around so much we have to go back in and try for a few more measurements in a few weeks. Also looking forward to the extra ultrasounds we get closer to the end of the pregnancy so I can see the little one more.
How are you feeling overall? Overall, pretty good! Since I'm a teacher, I was home for the first trimester. I've been back at work for about a month, and definitely feel more tired in the afternoon. I've been going to acupuncture weekly, and it has really helped with headaches, restless leg, and sleep problems.
How's your energy level? I'm good until about 3 in the afternoon, and then I just want a nap! The better I sleep during the night, the better my energy the next day.....
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time? I was 25 the last time I was pregnant, so everything is totally different! Tired more easily, but feel better emotionally. I was a nervous wreck the first time, and I've been able to enjoy and appreciate what an unexpected gift this pregnancy is a lot more
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months? Honestly, the 20 week anatomy scan was the big milestone for me. With all the AMA testing, we knew that our daughter is Trisomy X, but there is a huge range of symptoms, ranging on the spectrum from mild to severe. Confirmation at the anatomy scan that all measurements were awesome, and all organs and brain functions looked great was a HUGE relief. We announced our pregnancy once the anatomy scan came back with such a good report!
How's your energy level? I still feel so exhausted all the time. I didn't really see a boost of energy in my second trimester, I just noticed how I didn't need to nap 3 hours after i woke up. Being pregnant a 37, and having the baby at 38 is a lot harder on your body than I would have imagined.
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months? To have this baby. I won't know this baby is safe until he is in my arms.
How are you feeling overall? pretty well but ready for it to cool off!!
How's your energy level? way better than first tri for sure
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time? mine are only going to be 16 most apart,I just happen to be 34 for the first and 35 for second, so honestly not too different. The big difference for me is that first the first time everything was really interesting and exciting and this time I'm just ready to be done;)
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months? Birth!
How are you feeling overall?
Feeling good overall
How's your energy level?
I'm still tired. Not as bad as the first trimester but more than I was when I was pregnant with the twins.
If you've been pregnant before, how does this one compare to last time?
A whole different ball game from the last time!
What milestone are you ready to pass or what are you looking forward to most in the coming months?
I'm looking forward to having baby here!
