I have my glucose test on Wednesday. I'll be 27 weeks. I also get the tdap vaccine. Joy.
Ive felt.... Weird the last week or so. Just like something is not quite right. A lot of cramping, lightheadedness, and fatigue. And I was nauseous this morning. Ugh. Hopefully it's just general pregnancy woes.
A standard midwife appt tomorrow. I'm a little terrified of what the scale will say...DD2 and I have done quite a lot of growing since the last appt. But whatevs, it's going to happen at some point in this pregnancy. Just seems earlier this time around.
We also have another A/S scan on Wednesday. DD2 was super wiggly during the first one, so there are a couple more measurements we have to get.
@kbduke I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I hope it's all just false alarms and unfounded worries.
I go Weds for my 2nd glucose test, tdap vaccine, and some blood work to check my iron levels and a few other things. Also, a bp check and heartbeat check, and me addressing the symptoms I've had within the past 2 weeks.
No appointments for me this week, but @kbduke@Mamax2 - I've also spent the past 1-2 weeks feeling more tired, dizzy/lightheaded at times, and feeling like I need a lot more food and water than usual. My Bp is essentially the same as always, I passed my glucose test and I'm not anemic, so I'm just chalking it up to pregnancy. Fortunately, baby boy moves a LOT so that is reassuring.
Glucose test and a sonogram to check growth on Friday. Count me in with the dizziness/lightheadedness, fatigue, headaches, etc. It really feels like an impending cold, but I think it's just pregnancy. We shall see what the doc says on Friday, I suppose!
GT for me on Thursday. I just had my monthly check up so no other doctor visit that day. For those getting the tdap, did your doctors say you had to get it as soon as you are or is there wiggle room? I'm 26 weeks and my doctor hasn't mentioned it yet.

@kbduke, me too, to everything but the TDAP vaccine. My GTT is also Wednesday morning. Apparently I have to fast for 8 - 12 hours before the test but my test is scheduled bright and early so it shouldn't be too bad.
I had an appointment with a Maternal-Fetal Medicine doctor this morning to follow up about my last anatomy scan (where they saw some spots in Baby's abdomen and noticed my cervix was shortening. I was put on bed rest and started progesterone.) The doctor this morning said the spots are gone! And that the progesterone seems to be working because I gained a few millimeters back in my cervix. I am still on bed rest though. But very glad that everything is fine with Baby after all! He said he doesn't need to see me again and that my regular OB can continue my care (which is good since his office is 40 minutes away!). I see my regular OB Friday afternoon for a regular check up and to see if she will loosen my bed rest restrictions.
First appointment with a new OB tomorrow. Not sure what that'll really entail. If nothing else, should be interesting to see the difference (or not) from my first OB.
Had my GD testing this morning. That drink is 10x better than I remember it 8 years ago with DD lol.
Anyone received a flu shot? I was picking up an Rx today and the pharmacist asked if I wanted one. I asked if it was safe for pregnant women and they said yes. I told them I'd speak with my dr first anyway.

@ea301..don't have an appt. BUT I was going to say in regards to the TDAP you usually want to just make sure and get it in your 3rd trimester. I got mine right around 30w. I would assume the earlier the better just to give your lil one the chance to absorb those anitbodies. My Dr mentioned it to me but didn't follow up..so I just made sure to get it. You can get it done at Target or other pharmacies..my insurance covered it. I got the flu shot the next week, which was also recommended by my Dr.
SIDE NOTE: I would just make sure and ask before they inject you that they are giving you the appropriate make up for both shots for a pregnant woman. I have heard of mix ups all the time.
I had my 24 week appointment yesterday and I was up 7 lb in 4 weeks. He said to start watching my intake more and to start exercising more. I had pre-e last time, so I really need to watch it. I am on an aspirin daily now, also. Next time, I get to have my glucose. woowoo.

Had a regular OB appt w/ U/S to check for growth since Dr. thought I was measuring small AND I was in the hospital on Friday with severe abdominal pain - baby is measuring a week ahead and is almost 3lbs and completely curled up on my right side right on top of my pelvic kidney causing fluid back up - hence the pain. So I'm stuck suffering through this for the next several weeks (they did prescribe me pain meds to take at night if I really need to).
I believe the correct term is pregnancy induced hydronephrosis. Awful stuff. Looking forward to labor now more than every before!

Had my first appointment with new OB today. She seemed nice. Definetly more talkative then my last, volunteering more information without me having to ask. It was nice. Bummer is I have to redo my glucose test. I passed at 22 weeks but she said you really need to do it between 24 and 28. Said I could skip if I really wanted to but she recommends a retest. Lame. I go back in 3 weeks for it.
I am measuring about 2 cm behind so I guess all the "you're too small" comments are valid. She's not concerned though so neither am I.
I just left my appointment and I'm so ragey about how it went.
I met with a new doctor (my practice has about 5 and you rotate your appointments because any of them could be on call when you go into labor). I did not like him at all and I've loved everyone else in the practice.
I've been having issues where my heart is racing/pounding, lightheaded, nauseous, headache. So I asked him about it. He asked if my heart was racing or pounding. I said I didn't know I was just focusing on sitting/lying down when it happens. Apparently he didn't like this answer. Then he asked me what my heart rate was when it happens. Again, I'm not sure and asked him what is should be. His response "it should be whatever is normal for a human." Seriously dude?
So now my heart rate is elevated because I'm pissed at the way he treated me. And I have to see a cardiologist. I just want to lay down and cry.
I had a regular OB appointment today, and other than the fact that the doc forgot that i was in the room for 45 min!!, it was fine. She listened to both heartbeats- Baby Girl was a steady 160, but Baby boy was ALL over the place.... the doc listened for a while (I'm not sure why)- she said the bouncing around was normal ( upper teens to 140s) anyone else experience this?? It wasn't my normal doc and I struggle and didn't think to ask more questions in the moment....
Oliver looks good & so do I! No changes to my insides except that I have a growing boy in there. They have been monitoring my cervix (because I have two in addition to double uterus) so this is great news. It's not shortening which is a concern for this condition!
There IS some confusion about my due date. Doc thinks she may have jumped the gun moving it from 12/12 to 12/5 back in June. He measures at 2 pounds and 1 ounce today which she says may mean he is due around 12/12, putting his growth in the 50th percentile. If we keep the due date at 12/5 he is more in the 39th percentile, which would still be fine, just smaller. So I'm likely due somewhere in between those days.
It worried me at first because I don't know what is average at this point. Does anyone have any insight? Is it still too early to make any claims right now?
@Toller I am not having twins BUT during today's appointment my son's HB went all over the place too, from one check to the next about 10 mins apart. Not the first time he has done this either. They always say it's normal!
Just had my GT and regular midwife appt at 25 weeks this morning. The GT wasn't as bad as I was expecting, though I've been super tired the rest of today. Baby girl started kicking me like crazy right after I drank it, which was fun erica0901 my midwife told me they'd to my TDap at my next visit in 3-4 weeks. She said they recommend it after 27 weeks.
@swhiddon33 I am wondering about claims of ahead/behind as well! Had my appt today and Just on fundal measurement I am 5 weeks ahead, so if I measure that far ahead next time in two weeks I'll have an ultrasound. I originally had two conception possibilities and they picked the later, so the earlier one would put me more like 3 weeks ahead which isnt that abnormal.
I have already gained my 30 lbs this time but passed my gf so doc said we'd monitor next time and see if I have to change anything.
@juliehollz13 that sounds horrid! Hugs to you, I hope your LO moves soon!
It has lowered to 127/94, but the doctor is not happy with that lower number (it was 98 before) so I am taking my meds 3 times a day. He hopes that will give a big change--if not, then next week I will be on it 4x a day, plus an additional medication. He was happy that I'm not swelling anywhere, and I did get to see Ashton on the ultrasound--he looks great!
The doc did say that for sure I will give birth at least a week before my due date, but if my BP doesn't make significant progress then he may have to come out earlier.
I see him again next week, and FX that the bottom number makes a big improvement.
26 week appt was today. Did my glucose test and tested iron as well, results come back on Tuesday. HB, blood pressure and belly measurement were all normal. Weight gain significantly slowed over past 4 weeks and it's right on track for this point in pregnancy, I think (18 lbs).
Go back in 4 weeks, then it's every 2 weeks after that. Need to get flu shot and TDAP vaccine before end of October.

@dmontgo how did your 24 hour catch go? Have they told you when they will do it again/if they will do it again? I had it 3 times in 3 weeks but my numbers were steadily rising regardless of meds. Are you now being seen by MFM? I would request a consult... Seems like your OB wants your BP to get to 120/80 and while that's ideal, there's a range that's acceptable between hypertensive and 'normal'.
@DiFazette I'm not sure what the results for the 24 hour test are. My appointment was on Thursday, so I planned on calling tomorrow to see what's going on with that. Not being seen by the MFM yet--I meant to ask but completely forgot. This medicine makes me feel a step above a zombie. My mouth is so, so dry and I'm exhausted. I'm really hoping I don't have to increase the dosage because I don't think I could function throughout the day. He mentioned Labetlol in addition to the Aldomet if he doesn't see the improvement he's looking for.
Feels like things are up in the air and I hate that.
