My LO just got dropped off at his first day of preschool today! I missed it because I am still in the hospital, cue the tears. But everyone said he did great and was very happy to be there!
I still can't believe I have an 8th grader... that will be 13 on Saturday! Jesus! I will be the mom of a teenager. And a newborn. Also, I'm already hating getting up early again. Adding sleeping in 2 hour increments to this school thing is going to be good fun!
DD started kindergarten a few weeks ago and she loves it. I love that we have a firm schedule again. I'm trying to enjoy it until our new baby throws a wrench in the machine.
My two oldest start tomorrow! Kindergarten and Pre-K! DS will be there until 11:25 and DD will be there until 3:10! I'm soooo looking forward to just hanging out with youngest DD in the morning for a couple weeks before newbie arrives! I'm not looking forward to 3 drop-offs and pick-ups though. That's going to suck. Especially when newbie arrives!
Honestly?! Rough! I teach bilingual inclusion preschool and I haven't had a second to sit down during the day. I'm supposed to leave on maternity leave next Friday but between my ginormous ankles and some extra aches and pains, my dr wants me out after this week. I had an NST Monday which went ok and an OB appt tomorrow so he will let me know then. I've always had 120/80 or less for BP but at the NST it was 134/78. Not horrible but I'm afraid of it going up if I'm on my feet all day, especially with the GD and my kidney disease.
DS had his second day today. He's doing well as far as I know but the daily communication is lacking compared to preschool. He's had so many behavior issues I guess no news is good news?

Hmm. This post just made me realize that by having children I have essentially doomed myself to over a decade of keeping daytime hours. Bummer. I guess I'll need to soak up these next 4 years or so...
DS started kindergarten last Monday. He loves it, except first thing in the morning when he whines that he wants to stay home with me. My heart hurts every time because I miss him being home with me too. He told me last night "I just want one more day home with you mommy." Ugh. He is fine and happy once he is up and getting ready and off to school, but morning cuddle time is killing me! He snuggles in and it's so hard to let him go.
My DS started Tuesday he loves having a man for a teacher he said Women teachers are boring but his new dude teacher is the master. (Very enthusiastic man teacher btw). Our baby who is 3 started Junior Kintergarten today she's my best buddy never leaves my side needless to say I'm a hot frigging mess and she just walked in didn't even look back.
We started school a month ago! DD loves kindergarten. I teach HS and every activity just keeps getting harder. Only 16 days of school until fall break. I'm hoping I last that long!
