For anyone who is interested Carters is having their labor day sale this weekend. I just bought DS1 an entire new 3T wardrobe for a little over 60 dollars. They have frequent sales and great doorbusters but you save even more money when you hit their holiday sales.

Also FYI didn't think it needed a new thread I got an email from babies r us that is labor sale it said if you are buying a crib get a free matress not bad way to go if you are buying one anyway.

DH text me that Bank of America is doing 10% back at Carters this month. We'll definitely be hitting up the store this weekend. The sales look fantastic and I have $10 in rewards right now!

Pottery Barn Kids is also having a Labor Day sale this weekend. In store and online - 25% off with the code SAVEMORE (you probably don't need the code in store though).

ETA that the PBK sale is up to 25% off based on how much you spend. It also excludes clearance. Boo.

@mudderbear no one is guaranteed paid leave in the US per law, only if an employer is gracious enough to give it. We get family medical leave, but that is unpaid. Most people are forced to take paid vacation time which for most is 2 weeks and usually take 4 unpaid on average. 6 weeks and back to work is very typical.

Carters are cute and sales are fantastic but we don't like the brand for the long haul. They fall apart and get holes easily. If you're investing in clothes to keep as hand me downs, I'd advise splurging on the good stuff, like Gap, Gymboree and the like.

@Wholesome this surprises me! Ours have been through two (rough) boys and are still in really good shape. A lot looks barely worn. We have only had to get rid of a few things, largely because of stains though, not rips or tears. Maybe it changes as they get older, my oldest is still a toddler.

PS ftm, carter's is ALWAYS having a sale, so don't be fooled by the regular sales. Everything always is at least 30% off their marked prices to make you think you're getting a deal. Some sales are legit though.

Also I have tons of carter's cloths and I think they all held up super well. I actually have ever GAP baby clothes that have fallen apart. I do think GAPS are softer and thicker most of the time, but if I'm not getting my friends employee discount for gifts for my girl, I'd never shop there lol
