I can't believe that most of us are due next month!!!
How many weeks? 32
What size? Bok Choy, Honeydew melon, a Mega Chupa Chups Lollipop
Upcoming appointments? This Friday, just for a quick weight, BP, and heartbeat check.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: I love 3 day weekends!!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Still throwing up pretty much every morning (ugh!!!). Getting more uncomfortable, finding it really hard to sleep, experiencing swelling in ankles after sitting all day at work, backache, random sciatic pain, and nesting,
GTKY: How are you spending your Labor Day weekend? I am in major nesting mode!! We ordered pretty much everything for the nursery, but it was just in there sitting in boxes waiting to be put together, organized, etc. Yesterday I organized everything, then took everything out of the room (with the help of DH), and steam cleaned the nursery. Today I'm hoping to put together the crib, and dresser, and start putting away all of the items. It'll feel great when the room is finally together and ready!!
Good morning! Yeah, it's hard to believe the deliveries are starting already and we'll soon be next! (Though hopefully not TOO soon.)
How many weeks? 36 weeks
What size? papaya
Upcoming appointments? Weekly u/s, NST, and doctor visit on Tuesday.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I wish this baby would drop because I'm really sick of getting heartburn from EVERYTHING. I. EAT.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Well, heartburn for one. Ankle swelling, natch. Lots of BH. What else is new?
GTKY: How are you spending your Labor Day weekend? Cookout yesterday, cookout today, cookout tomorrow. Par for the course! The weather here is a little windy and dreary, so I'm not sure how much pool time I'll actually get in.
Upcoming appointments? Check up and growth scan on Friday. This girl has gotten big so I'm wondering if they'll bump my EDD.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Happy for the 3-day weekend and cooler weather! I've already pulled out the pumpkin spice candles and I don't care if it's too early!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Heartburn is still bad, but it's my own fault because I just can't seem to quit spicy foods. I'm so comfortable when I'm at home and can stretch out, but thinking of sitting at my desk at work for 8 hours a day depresses me. Thank goodness the countdown to maternity leave is on!
GTKY: How are you spending your Labor Day weekend? Going to a cookout this afternoon, but otherwise I'm in major nesting mode as well! I'm still organizing things from our shower a couple of weeks ago. I just sorted all the clothes into 0-3 month, 3-6 month, 6-9 month, and 9-12 month. Today's goal is to get all the 0-3 stuff washed and put away. Seeing those little dresses in the closet makes it feel so real!
How many weeks? 36 What size? Cabbage patch doll, chihuahua, papaya Upcoming appointments? My two weekly BPP ultrasounds and beginning weekly MFM appts this week
Rants/Raves/Questions? The physical effects of pregnancy (esp past 34ish weeks) are no joke and I feel like a big baby but I just need some relief
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Really bad carpal tunnel/pain and numbness down both arms, neck and back pain, foot pain, sciatica, cramping, heartburn/indigestion, and pretty mentally dull so I forget the rest. I want all the ice...sometimes still desserts, but mostly just ice. I could basically do without meat even though I know getting enough protein is really important esp in 3rd tri so I force myself to eat at least some
GTKY: How are you spending your Labor Day weekend? We had a little end of summer BBQ get together yesterday, and I am shopping today and going to try to relax and get comfortable (ha) later. Tomorrow I'm going to try to finally finish decorating the nursery
Upcoming appointments? Wednesday for a quick checkup
Rants/Raves/Questions? Happy for a little bit of cooler weather this weekend (highs below 90!)
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Starting to have a little bit of swelling more frequently, but nothing too bad. I have been having trouble getting comfortable while sleeping all week, and my right hip is starting to hurt again. Hopefully some rest this week and doing all my exercises from my physical therapist I have been slacking on lately will help ease my hip pain some.
GTKY: How are you spending your Labor Day weekend? Our baby shower is next weekend, so we have been trying to finish up all of the projects that need to be done around the house this weekend, and getting the house deep cleaned so we are ready to go next Saturday. So not much relaxing happening at all, but at least after this weekend we won't have much left to do around the house before baby arrives!
Upcoming appointments? Ultrasound on Tuesday (confirm breech) with MFM; Ob appt on Friday to plan out external version the following week.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I am so tired, but thankful to have a weekend with my husband. We haven't had a weekend off together since May. Glad the TS didn't hit us and it's sunny and cooler outside.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Flint is still very breech and very active. I think I crave something and then can't finish it and the thought of it makes me want to gag. I don't know what is up with that.
GTKY: How are you spending your Labor Day weekend? DH and I have been doing some major nesting, but not in the nursery. We have been doing major cleaning and reorganizing of our house. We have done all of our own laundry, I've put fall/winter clothes that will fit after childbirth in my closet. Did touch-up painting today and am changing all the door hardware in our house from brass to a brushed nickel finish ones. Tomorrow I'm hoping we will get to the nursery.
Upcoming appointments? Wednesday for a quick check up
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not much! Fall weather is coming next week and I cannot wait!!!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Heartburn, leg cramps at night if I don't have enough water, swollen shins after working 12 hours.. overall feeling big and swollen all over.
GTKY: How are you spending your Labor Day weekend? Went to a football game friday night, worked saturday, took the kids to the zoo with a big group of bump moms from my last bmb! Working again tomorrow while my family has a pool party here..
Rants/Raves/Questions? Also just found out baby is breech - will have another u/s at 36 weeks to discuss "options". @Piperella did you dr give you any advice to help LO turn? Also, how can you tell if baby is still breech? I have no idea if I'm feeling a head or a butt in my ribs, lol.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Sweets. Want them all.
GTKY: How are you spending your Labor Day weekend? Had intentions to be productive in the nursery today, but instead went to eat Mexican food & online shopped. Now I'm laid up on the couch with my H & the dogs watching football & being lazy. Don't want to get up!
@kaessi Flint has been breech since about week 20-24 is.. It was there he went from transverse to breech. Ive just gotten to know when I feel a jabby shoulder poking out as he rolls from side to side. I can also feel him stretch a hand up towards my heart.. It was confirmed on u/s one time when I felt it.
I've tried many thing from spinningbabies.com to no avail. There is also a Webster technique or method that some chiropractors can do. I might try to see one this week. At this point, Im trying to psych myself up for a successful external version option if he doesn't flip in the next week. I don't want a c-section but I know that I need to be open to options. We went ahead and reserved a c-section date with the Ob and hospital for Sept. 28th which would put me at 39w3d. I think the date is good in that it's very close to the natural EDD for me which is 10/02.
I think I mentioned on a thread a while ago so ignore if it was either of you who had asked but, when mine was breech I asked my MFM dr about techniques out of curiosity. It was too early to start thinking of med interventions but my doctor mentioned that of all the alternative or crunchy granola techniques, moxibustion really seems to work for some people. Again, I didn't use any of these techniques so I don't know personally but it sounds like some kind of herbal stick is burned and held over acupressure points
Hi @Kaessi! I just wanted to let you know that Flint has flipped to head down! The only thing new I did was nest over the weekend. After being breech for so long, I thought he'd never change. Keeping my fingers crossed he stays this way now. Hope your LO flips head down soon! Keep me posted. I was fully ready to ask if they had recommendations for chiropractors and acupuncturists that could do the different alternative procedures.

@piperella Oh yay!!! I'm so happy for you - also crossing my fingers that he stays cooperative!! Did you happen to feel it when he flipped? My OB asked if I felt a jolt or anything when she flipped from head down to breech but I honestly can't recall feeling anything strange. So I'm curious if I would know if she flipped now.
@kaessi - When I was nesting, I was moving around a lot, so I don't know. However, at night, I could feel a lot more "violent" pushes/jabs/kicks from him and my DH and I were weirded out at how super active and pronounced the motions were. The kicks and movements are different feeling now that he is head down than when he was breech. That being said, I don't remember one definitive movement where I could feel/see him actually flipping around. I could always feel the side to side rolls, but don't remember the actual flip feeling.
