This is a weekly thread for those of us who are pregnant after experiencing loss of any stage (chemical, miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal) to support one another.

19+4, late January....and we're officially team BLUE!!!

3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Good, getting hungry...like I just ate dinner and I want something else. Quite hobbit like. Feeling movement and this morning I have some wicked RLPs.

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Not too shabby. Ready for the A/S next Tuesday but I'm feeling quite positive now!

5. When is your next appointment?
Sept. 13-- A/S and doc appointment

6. Rants/raves/whatever
We found out Saturday we're having another boy...I think everyone was in shock, they all knew (or wanted) it to be a girl. Especially my mom. She's got a little attitude about it (She looked at me afterwards and said "You need to do better than that") so I'm giving her a week to get over it. Plus, people keep telling me "Oh, it's God's will" or "you can try again!" Dude, I'm totally happy with being a boy mom. We're okay with this...back off.

I'm officially buying baby clothes! Eeeek! Can't wait for the consignment sale this weekend!

8. GTKY: favorite super hero franchise? X-men? Guardian's of the Galaxy? Avengers? Batman? Etc
Hands down, Batman. The best superhero in the world. But the Christopher Nolan Batman first, followed by the Tim Burton version (only Batman 1-2 of that series). I refuse to acknowledge the new Affleck/Leto Batman/Joker version.

22 weeks. EDD 1/8/17. Team Pink.

3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
I feel huge! How in the world am I only 1/2 way done? Where is baby going to go?

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
I feel pretty good. No major panic attacks lately.

5. When is your next appointment?
9/19

7. Anything else on your mind?
I cannot pick out a crib. I have been crib shopping multiple times, and like a few but I'm so indecisive. I feel like she will be born without a nursery.

Tough one.... My husband claims to be batman (which I have embraced), but Guardians and Avengers are much funnier and as some one who was never a big super hero fan funny is better. I guess I might go Guardians just for Chris Pratt.

3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Pretty good! I feel you on the hunger, @alabamamamma224. I had breakfast not that long ago, and already ate my snack at 830 : / Also, I'm getting some pretty bad cotton mouth and/or thirst problem. I'm drinking enough that my pee is light and basically clear, so I know I am hydrated (and all I drink is water!). It's making me a little concerned that this cotton mouth won't go away.

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Pretty good now. A little anxious for doing the GD test in a few weeks, especially since I have this thirst issue going on now. Hopefully it's just pregnancy!

5. When is your next appointment?
Sept. 8. Early 24 week appointment because I was supposed to be away during week 24, but it got canceled so now I'm going early. Fine by me!

It was tough waking up for work after a 4 day weekend, but it's already Tuesday! Rant and rave all in one haha

7. Anything else on your mind?
Not really! I'm sorry about your mom, @alabamamamma224. That's so crappy.

My husband is a huge comic book collector - only Marvel though. So I guess I have to go with Marvel Probably Spider-Man. My husband is already excited about what age appropriate comics he will be reading to baby

23 weeks, Jan 4th, and team pink!

3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Baby kicking, heartburn, frequent pee, starting to feel my center of balance shifting out, and hunger!

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Pretty great baby-wise, but I'm ready to get my GD test over with. I know I will schedule it at my next appointment and that has my anxiety a little higher.

5. When is your next appointment?
Thursday, Sept 8

I started leaking colostrum this weekend, so that's weird.

I think it's mainly because she had two girls and I'm her only grandkid source (my sis isn't having kids) and she knows this was our last one. So deep down she wanted bows and pink and crap. My dad, on the other hand, is ecstatic! lol Moms. Ugh.

I do too. I got the nip crust stuff going on, I'm sure it won't be long.

@AlabamaRedhead it's ok! I think there's always pressure to have a baby of the opposite sex when you are on baby #2 but it's still annoying to get bad comments.

@ everyone else: LOL I will never look at boobs the same ever again! Nipples are so long, dark, ugly?! Lolol

20 weeks 4 days! Due Jan 20, team pink

3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Good but I'm losing my appetite, not because of headaches, but because my organs are so cramped together that it's extremely uncomfortable if I eat a little too much.

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
no anxiety, just really happy to feel baby's kicks get stronger.

5. When is your next appointment?
13th for the anatomy scan

6. Rants/raves/whatever
we've been slowly buying things. We have a pack n play, a bouncer, diapers, and the stroller n car seat just came in! I'm going to wait until after my baby shower before I buy anything else.

I need to start couponing for diaper wipes.

Today I am feeling pretty good actually. In general I still pee a lot but other wise I feel pretty normal

im doing good - although today at my appointment my fundal height was only 20 so I'm hoping I keep growing normally

I went to publix to grab some freezer paper and something to make for dinner and as soon as I walked in I was highly aware of the cinnamon buns they had in the bakery - I could smell them from the front. Took every ounce of my self control to not get one.

So glad to be back on a computer versus mobile.

2. how far along are you? EDD? Team green pink or blue? 22w3d 1/8/17 Pink

3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) Overall pretty good from a pregnancy standpoint. Hormones keep getting the best of me and sleep isn't fantastic (my hips hurt so bad laying on my side).

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) Anxiety wise I'm up there. This has been a whirlwind since Friday. I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes via an early test. I'm coming to terms with it but have a lot of anxiety about what it means for the delivery I would like to have. Luckily I have a few months to do some research and figure out what are next best options are should we be presented with it. I'm learning about what to eat and how to track my blood sugar and all that good jazz and am so worried about missing a check or counting the carbs wrong I'm a little high strung right now.

5. When is your next appointment? Well, this just upped the appointment count. I now have to see an internist in addition to the OB. I see her tomorrow for the first appointment and will learn how many more appointments that means. My next OB appointment is 9/27. It was supposed to be with a different doctor because mine is out that week but given the recent news, I'm going to call and see if I can move this to be a few days earlier so I can see my regular doctor. I also have another meeting with the nutritionist next week.

6. Rants/raves/whatever So I'm coming to terms with this diagnosis. But I'm majorly stressed about work and the time I've been gone. Add to that, we are doing some major household projects (painting, replacing doors, hanging shelves, etc). I was off yesterday to help with this before my MIL got there and her and my husband and working on them the rest of the week. Of course we found out yesterday morning that our first meeting with the nutritionist to learn about using the meter and the meal planning which was a good 3 hours out of our day. Add to that, it's raining so the stuff we took out to the garage to paint outside has to wait. Our house is a disaster, nothing is where it is supposed to be, and nothing is going right for us. I ended up breaking down in tears when insurance put me on hold yesterday morning because I was just tired of nothing going as expected. I keep telling myself that we will get through this week, have a good family day on Saturday and start to get back to normal next week. We aren't going to finish all the projects but at least my son's new room should be ready by the end of the week, the nursery will be ready for me to start adding little girl stuff, and our living room will be back in order.

@AlabamaRedhead, I'm so sorry you got that reaction. It's disappointing when people, especially your mom, can't just be excited for baby regardless of the sex. My grandma flat out told me, "Oh, I wanted a boy". So I feel you on some level. Really sucks that it was your mom though. Hopefully she'll get over herself.

3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Hungry a lot, which is annoying because I really don't want to pack on too much extra weight. Having a hard time sleeping. Getting winded when taking long walks for exercise, or when carrying my daughter up the stairs.

Pretty good. Had a great scan last week.

Rant on my neighbor who's kid keeps climbing and jumping off our wooden fence. I was talking with her and he started doing it, so I said something about getting off of it because it's starting to get wobbly and older (as in, he's loosened the posts from the ground), and she joked, "yes, we all get wobbly as we get older". She continued to let him do it. Seriously, I didn't want to be bitchy but I was pretty clear. I don't have $$$ to buy a new fence right now, and we need it to last several more years (we have a dog which it keeps in).

7. Anything else on your mind?
So excited for our mini-babymoon to NH & Maine this weekend! I've never been a big lobster person but I'll be sure to give it multiple tries while I'm there.

Eek I'm not really up on my super heroes. I don't have time to watch a lot of movies (even though I love movies), so when I do, it's usual not that type.

@ceillyang I have started picking up clothes at garage sales. I'm so excited to buy some pink stuff. It got washed yesterday so I was folding it to put in the storage bin last night. So hard to restrain myself, I give you credit for waiting until your shower. That said, this is my second so I won't be having a shower so I don't expect too much.

@ceclarlinetlo Those cinnamon buns sound so good. I applaud your restraint

@carly79 I'm sorry about the GD diagnosis - that's so overwhelming! I know other people's experiences have no bearing on your future outcome but try not to assume the worst for your delivery - I have two friends who had GD and they had vaginalp deliveries - GD does not sentence you to having a 10 pound baby - and the fact that they caught it early gives you an even better chance to have the delivery your heart longs for. Big hugs to you as you navigate these new challenges!

@curlysue22 ugh! I can't stand parents who don't discipline or enforce basic manners. But, I don't have a kid yet so who am I to say.

20w1day due January 25 Found out we're having a boy yesterday!

3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms?
i keep having bouts of dizziness and meat aversions, but pretty good most of the time.

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
I've been a mess all week dreading my anatomy scan but it went well yesterday. They didn't find anything concerning but couldn't visualize everything yet so I go back in 4 weeks for another. My OB is doing a growth check in 2 weeks to help ease my mind because this is when it seems the first baby stopped growing. I'm just ready to be in the third trimester. If the next ultrasound goes well I'm celebrating with nursery furniture.

5. When is your next appointment?
Sep 21st for an ultrasound in my OBs office.

6. Rants/raves/whatever
I think we've decided on the name Patrick Edwin. Patrick is my husband's middle name and Edwin is my great grandpa's name. We didn't find out the sex in my first pregnancy so it's weird referring to the baby with a name instead of "it" or "the baby."

And also, why is the response to having a boy "Oh, is husband excited?" Don't put that stereotypical bullshit on him, my husband would have been excited for a healthy boy or girl. The baby's genitals don't determine our level of excitement.

@Kurtni Thank you! I have often wondered that about the response to a boy too. That was all anyone said with our first when they found out it was a boy...I bet your husband is excited. My husband is happy with what we have. I think he felt a little pressure to have a boy in hopes of carrying on the name because his brother had girls but that isn't as important to him as people think.

RLP when turning quickly and exhausted this week. But that could be just re-adjusting to life after 10 days of vacation.
