How are you feeling physically/mentally? Physically, tired and dealing with pre-e as best I can. Mentally, my anxiety is going through the roof! I think getting so close to d day has me reeling. I keep thinking something will go wrong, like it's too good to be true, and anything and everything becomes a problem. Whether it's the pre-e, baby movement or even non-baby related stuff. Definitely haven't been able to get out of my own head.
Rants or raves? Bedrest is not fun! Of course, I have to do it and I'm happy that I wasn't put on it earlier on, but it's hard not being able to cook or even go grocery shopping. Poor DH is pretty much doing everything and we're eating out a lot, which isn't healthy or good. We'll see how much longer we have!
Upcoming appointments/milestones? Giving birth!
GTKY: I have several, I used to have one favorite (a yellow romper) but we've gotten so many cute things that I don't even know anymore!
How are you feeling physically/mentally? In the grand scheme of things I am feeling pretty good. There are times I wish I was feeling a little worse so I had an excuse to go to L&D and let them tell me it was baby time for some reason, although I know I should be counting my blessings for a seemingly healthy baby who is content to stay in and grow.
Rants or raves? I am SO TIRED of people telling me "Gosh, it seems like you've been pregnant forever!" Yeah, I have actually been pregnant since last May. Then I had a hospitalization-requiring miscarriage, had surgery to get an ovary removed, and went on an exciting fertility journey which led to the last 39 weeks. So yes, I have been pregnant for a year and a half, and yes I am anxious to have the baby, and YES, thank you for bringing it up, AGAIN. I know people who just need to comment on someone else's pregnancy mean well. In my head I know that. But I sort of want to strangle these people.
Upcoming appointments/milestones? My 39 week appointment is Wednesday, I will talk to the doc about how long she will let me go before induction at that time (my practice typically will go to 41 weeks). I think if the baby will not come out on his own having a date will make me feel better.
GTKY: What's your favorite outfit(s) you have purchased or received for the baby/ babies? I totally planned to go take a pic of some clothes, but I am lazy, so I will grab something off the internet instead of these little skeleton bone jammies. How are you feeling physically/mentally? Not great. I cried on my due date. I was only one centimeter dialated and no signs of labor.
Rants or raves? Because of scheduling (hospital policy/my doctors availability) if I have to get induced, it most likely won't happen until Sept.11 (my due date was Sept. 1st) @AlwaysAuntNeverMom I also feel like being so close to my due date/passing it definitely upped my anxiety level. I'm trying to stay positive, but it's so hard. I keep having bad thoughts.
Upcoming appointments/milestones? I talked my doctor into letting me have an extra appointment this week since my anxiety has risen. She scheduled and NST for tomorrow (I've never had one), and then I go back on Thursday for another NST plus ultrasound. I'll be 41 weeks by then.
GTKY: What's your favorite outfit(s) you have purchased or received for the baby. Too hard to pick. So many cute ones.
How are you feeling physically/mentally? Ready to have baby out...I'm not physically terrible, but I would love to not be achy all the time and it's definitely messing with me to be second-guessing every little ache, stretch, jolt, or bump for labor signs. I've been having a few panic thoughts at night about something terrible happening to baby at the birth, but so far I can usually just lean against DH and it calms me down. We'll see how it goes as I get closer to (and likely pass) my due date next week.
Rants or raves? DH and I took some pregnancy photos today, which was fun. It was extra sweet because he's the one who really wanted to do them. Just us in our backyard, but they turned out pretty well!
Upcoming appointments/milestones? Last "regular" appointment on Wednesday, EDD Monday, Baby soon I hope!
GTKY: What's your favorite outfit(s) you have purchased or received for the baby/ babies? MIL sent us a really adorable Carter's sleeper that's teal striped with a monster face on the butt. I also have a 6-month sleeper that's red with moose all over it to remind LO of their Canadian heritage, even if we live in Alabama!
