R/R: I think it's been a week since I bumped last... I had a rough cycle 4 and needed a break, but I started my OPKs 2 days ago and got a positive and solid smiley and 90% there OPK this morning. My last two cycles O was on CD 18 and then 22 so I wasn't even thinking it would be this soon! But with EWCM and all the signs it's time to start seducing hubby. A little irritated though because last time I had 6 days of flashing smiley... this time it was Low, then I missed a day, and now P.
CS/Q: see R/R but not much to see here- yet!
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? college cafeteria was the worst for sure. Best was probably a research job... the right amount of interacting with people and being able to chill in the AC. I love my job now, of course, but it's a lot of trade off

R/R: I realized that it was actually last Labor Day weekend that H and I sat down and decided to start TTC. I'd been off BC for a few months, but hadn't actually been trying. At that point I would have never guessed that we'd still be here. It's funny to think how excited we were when we had that discussion--now TTC just sucks.
CS/Q:
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? Best: I really loved that last school district I worked at--the kids and staff were awesome. Buuut it was a long commute, so I switched jobs. Worst: I'm with @laurad75 ... I waitressed for a loooong time and hated it. The money was great, but I just don't have the right personality.
@laurad75 Typically you need at least three days of higher temps to get CH. Last cycle I had a weird dip at 2dpo and it took me four days of temps to get CH.
@felix08 hugs friend! I know how you feel and it sucks. Each month it gets harder and harder to atay positive. Hang in there.
Month/Cycle: 13/13
CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: Waiting for AF to go away
R/R: Off work today and meeting a friend for coffee this morning. Then a BBQ at my in laws this afternoon with my MiL who I haven't spoken to in 5 months. So that should be a good, awkward distraction from TTC.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had?
Best: probably my current job - I pretty much handle all of the accounting in a department for the county. My boss is awesome. My pay is great. The people I work with are drama free (cuz they're all guys!). There's no stress. I love it.
Worst: my job right before this one. I worked in the Auditor's office. It was my dream job and I had planned on running for Auditor one day. But after two years there I couldn't do it anymore. The ladies who worked there were mean. My boss had no back bone. The assistant was a micro manager. And two years of working there I was doing data entry and stuffing envelopes still. Yet the job requires a bachelors and I had my MBA too. It also took a toll on y mental health. The last year I worked there, I was gone more often than I was there because I couldn't bring myself to be in such a depressing place. Quitting that job was the best decision I ever made.
WAYDTGKU: not as much as I should! Will be taking an OPK when I get home tonight.
R/R: It's been sort of a rough weekend so that's why I haven't been on here much. I also missed a day of temps yesterday by accident and the day before I had SUCH a low temp like in the 95s I don't even trust it. My chart is a hot mess right now and it's driving me nuts.
CS/Q:
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? Best job was working in a bakery because cookie perks and the worst was the summer I spent in telemarketing.
@bumpybump - I feel like there should be a generally accepted noise rule... not before 9am, not after 8pm. @laurad75 - YAY! Glad you get to move to TWW soon. Fx for you. Usually FF requires 3 days of temps above what will be the cover line to give you CHs.
Month/Cycle: 6/4
CD: 17
WAYDTGKU: temping, OPK, EOD at least, CM, preseed...
R/R: We have a positive OPK folks (I only turned 1 positive last month)! And I'm home with DH finally, so we DO stand a chance! And to make it better, I got home on Saturday and we got a BD in both Saturday and yesterday. So we're looking good! I've mentioned before, but DH always gets stressed out when I tell him that we're close to peak, because then he focuses more on having to perform, than enjoying himself, at which point...we usually don't succeed. So I have to keep it to myself until we're past it I think. Do a little seducing... maybe even pull out something from 2 years ago at my bachelorette party.
CS/Q: For those of you who have read TCOYF it says in chapter 6 (How to Observe and Chart Your Fertility) regarding Digital Thermometers "Also, it is imperative that it be accurate to within 1/10th degree Fahrenheit (for example 97.4) but do not use thermometers that measure to within 1/100th of a degree (for example 97.47), since the extra information is unnecessary and confusing." This seems opposite of what I've heard all along, that when entering temp in FF it's better to have a thermometer to the 1/100th. And isn't that the main difference in a basic thermometer and a BBT one?
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? I will third the waitressing as worst. Not because it was that bad, but because I wasn't very good at keeping track of all my tables, and all my other jobs have been pretty great. Best would probably either be lifeguarding in high school - because what high school girl doesn't want to sit outside in a 2 piece swimsuit (yep, we had 1 or 2 piece you could choose) by the pool all summer long. Or working at a daycare for the summers between college...we went on field trips with the kids twice a week to waterparks, zoos, etc. It was so fun!
R/R: Got to check seeing Niagara Falls off my bucket list this weekend! Whoop!
CS/Q: May have Oed on CD12 (peak CBEFM and EWCM - temps seem to agree but I did have a negative OPK). When I play with FF and discard CD14s temp, I get dotted CH. We were on vacation on Saturday - 7 hour road trip with two schedule thrown off toddlers - so sleep was crazy and not consistent. Crapy temp to mess up but it is what it is.
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? Best - My job now as a birth doula and childbirth educator. My passion mixed with my best skill set plus I work for myself. Worst - I've never really hated any job I've had but one school I taught was so poorly run it was dangerous to work there. I didn't really like having to relay on the students inside tips on where I should and shouldn't walk that day.
WAYDTGKU: BD!!, PNV, probiotic, baby aspirin, fish oil, cinnamon, green tea with Royal jelly, preseed, reading TCOYF, and OPK/temp/charting.
R/R: temp spiked! So hopeful I'll see crosshairs soon! This is my first cycle charting and temping thank you for everyone who encouraged that it wasn't too late for me to O last week, when I felt discouraged.
CS/Q: TCOYF mentioned evening primrose supplements, has anyone tried this?
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? Best is my current job, at a community college. Worst was at a local grocery store - the owners and management were so nasty to their employees.

GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? best: my job now is pretty awesome, I'm a web developer, so good pay, and even better hours and flexibility! Worst: I worked in the dining hall kitchens at my university. I really loved being the card swipe girl (I felt like Rory Gilmore), but I also got stuck in the dish washing room and that really sucked.

@laurad75 Usually three days of sustained high temps gives you CH and that's when WTO'ers typically move over to TWW. This is because you could have a freak high temp day and go back down or you could have high + low (fallback rise like @linzrunz noted) + high again before you know for sure.
@felix08 That sucks. I'm sorry it's a tough day for you. Creepy internet hugs.
@KhRun17 I bought the Mabis from Amazon that most of the ladies on here recommend, but following TCOYF, I disregard anything past the tenths-place decimal (I just round it and track it - so today's 96.61 is charted as just 96.6). I've never had an issue since my temp shifts are always large enough to notice.

GTKY: My best job is probably where I am now -- intellectually stimulating, occasional travel, mostly great people to work with. My worst was my first job after college, which was at a tiny nonprofit run by its own personal General Franco. The entire thing was basically a vanity project to write about his pet issues but pretend to be objective, and he ran that place based on fear and insanity. I lasted three and a half months before being fired/quitting. The week after, two other people were fired/quit, and he was down to like three staff. It was insane.

*lurking* @mommytoM13 My sister worked at A&F and spent most of her earnings on the clothes. She was at an outlet though, so it was a little cheaper. @khrun17 I use two places after the decimal point. It doesn't "stress me" - it gives more exact info. My worst job was at a minor league baseball stadium the summer before college. I had to clean bird poop off seats and chase away bees. I also went on the field to do things like hold up a massive chocolate bar while the players whistled at me and said stuff I didn't understand in Spanish. Also, the interns in charge of payroll decided at one point to round our hours down to the nearest hour. Like if you worked until 9:15 or even 9:45, you were only paid until 9. Some parts were fun, though. Imagine the night going something like this:
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
R/R: CD 1 doesn't get any easier as the time goes by... the TWW has a mass exodus coming over here and that makes me sad too.
Got pretty drunk last night & I'm not hungover. So that's a plus I guess haha.
CS/Q: nothing. Need to go do research about 10 day LP & what that means. Also, this is the month that we start more tests. OB said that if we weren't pregnant by September, we'd do an HSG. It's September and I'm not pregnant. I think the appointment to discuss is on Thursday. (We NTNP from last September until May, so it's been a year. Also DH is 10 years older than me, so she wants to get the show going).
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had?
Best - cash office in a grocery store. Just liked the book work, counting drawers, etc.
Worst - current job is rough because of management. public accounting sucked because of the hours.
WAYDTGKU: Took my last Provera this morning. No longer feeling benched and TWW doesn't really feel right either so hope you guys don't mind I start posting over here!
R/R It feels weird wishing for CD1 but it will be nice to get back to trying.
CS/Q: Anyone know how long it usually takes to get AF after finishing Provera?
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? The best job I've ever had is my current one. I teach 3rd grade at a small k-12 school. The staff and students are all amazing! The worst job I've ever had was working as a student worker in the financial aid office while I was in college. No one ever comes in there because they are happy..
R/R: I'm bummed this is the last day of the 3 day weekend
CS/Q: Still confused about the copious vaginal bleeding with a positive OPK around the time I typically ovulate. I guess we'll find out if I ovulate or if that was a period soon? ::shrug::
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? Best job: in high school I volunteered at this program that included helping draft local legislation, and it came with a stipend, but the program was supposed to include like 15 kids and only ended up with 3 (including me) so they let us split the total amount instead of just giving us our typical stipend. I got like $3k for spending an hour once a week for 4 months eating snacks and doing mostly nothing. Worst job: oh wow, that's tough. It's definitely a tie between when I worked retail at Coach one summer or my first PR job out of college. The former was extremely boring and absurd, the latter involved working 75 hour weeks, very minimal pay, and crying every single day. I guess probably the latter was worse. I had what I can only imagine was similar to PTSD for 6 months after I left it. I would wake up at 4am every night sweating, crying, panicking, etc. Do not recommend!
@Westy99 10 day LP should be okay. It's sort of on the borderline, but my good friend got preg her first month and she had a 9/10 day lp. It's definitely possible. I think the general idea is that if it's less than 10 it's a problem.

GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had? Best is probably the one I have right now. Teaching has it's definite down sides (the pay, the benefits, the general disrespect) but my admin really lets me do whatever I want so I do really rule over completely how much classroom functions, what I teach, etc
Worst was working at one of the Art Institutes. That place is the biggest SCAM (seriously do NOT ever attend a for-profit college). It was so painful to see all the students getting swindled out of all their money and getting a terrible education in return. It was my first "real" job after college and I didn't even last 10 months there. It's the only job I have ever worked for less than a year.
@Westy99 So sorry to see you here for CD1 Hugs all around. Although it is nowhere near a BFP, at least you are going to talk with the doctor about testing! I hope it's quick to get answers. Though 10 days isn't super short, a short LP can mean low progesterone (I seem to have that).
@mrs35 Welcome! I hope the Provera works quickly for you. I don't have any personal experience but from reading posts on here, how fast Provera works seems to vary a lot.
@doxiemoxie212 Do you have temps for this cycle? That could shed some light on your bleeding potentially. I'd be happy to take a look. *possible TW* Also, have you taken a pregnancy test? I believe that pregnancy can also turn an OPK positive and heavier bleeding may make more sense with that than with ovulation. *end TW*
@antoto So sad. I'm so sorry for your rough night last night. Creepy internet hugs.
By the way, someone in "real life" just told me that I shouldn't be drinking at all during TTC because I could ovulate during my period and even one drink can give a fetus fetal alcohol syndrome. LOL YOU ARE SO WRONG ON SO MANY THINGS

Best: my job now: middle school math teacher. I love the kids and most things about the school I work at now.
worst: I'm pretty lucky to not really have a bad job. I mean, not on that I hated to go to or hated day to day things anyways. The closest would be my job before now: high school math teacher.
It wasn't the job itself, it was the school I worked for. It was an international school in the Middle East and they didn't get us visas, so at the end of my (two year) contract, I tried to go to a different school that would get me a visa, and the director tried to prevent me from going. It turned out we couldn't get a visa anywhere anyways, so we left the country, and the director had the guts to ask me to stay at the school anyways. I'm, no...I'm done illegal work. Thanks.

@adirat yep, see below. Super spikes on 8/27 and 8/28 are due to drinking (my temp always skyrockets when I drink more than 2 glasses of booze), and the open circles this past weekend are from sleeping in an hour but taking my temp as soon as I woke up. I actually haven't spotted today, my main concern was yesterday I took an OPK and it was positive (had been negative for the past week), and then literally right after (TMI warming) a blood clot fell out of me, but I had been spotting the 3 days before that, so seems v weird.
@antoto it's the 20th anniversary edition, published 2015! And I totally feel you on the feeling sad thinking about how long you've been trying. *TW DH and I figured out recently that we would be at 20 weeks this weekend if I hadn't had a MC in May. It's rough. End TW*
@doxiemoxie212 Thanks for sharing your chart. I have no idea. Your chart looks anovulatory to me so far except that there is a noticeable discontinuity between CD1-3 temps and the higher CD4 and beyond temps. If you have charted before, are your pre-O temps more like the CD1-3 temps or the later 97.5 and above temps? I wonder if a different weird hormone thing is happening and this is just an usual cycle for you. Good luck
@adirat I've been temping since January, and I would say nearly every cycle is different, but my post-O temps are usually above 98.2, and my pre-O temps are usually somewhere in the 97s (but vary month to month re: what's normal). I've read that low temps could be a sign of a thyroid issue, but I had mine tested 3 months ago, and everything was fine. I think this must just be a weird month, honestly, because prior to actually TTC, when I charted it was like, light spotting + EWCM + higher temp all like clockwork together when I ovulated. Sigh. I guess I will just keep banging.

CS/Q: For those of you who have read TCOYF it says in chapter 6 (How to Observe and Chart Your Fertility) regarding Digital Thermometers "Also, it is imperative that it be accurate to within 1/10th degree Fahrenheit (for example 97.4) but do not use thermometers that measure to within 1/100th of a degree (for example 97.47), since the extra information is unnecessary and confusing."
This seems opposite of what I've heard all along, that when entering temp in FF it's better to have a thermometer to the 1/100th.

My worst was my first job after college, which was at a tiny nonprofit run by its own personal General Franco. The entire thing was basically a vanity project to write about his pet issues but pretend to be objective, and he ran that place based on fear and insanity. The best is my job now doing home based therapy. I love working with kids and their families and the schools to help. My caseload is mainly trauma cases because I'm getting certified with that and I love it. It's emotionally draining, but so rewarding when you can actually watch a kid heal from their trauma.
Worst was McDonald's. I feel like I don't need to explain that further...

@mommytoM13 My sister worked at A&F and spent most of her earnings on the clothes.

CS/Q: nothing. Need to go do research about 10 day LP & what that means. Also, this is the month that we start more tests. OB said that if we weren't pregnant by September, we'd do an HSG.

@felix08 *hugs*

LOL YOU ARE SO WRONG ON SO MANY THINGS

worst: I'm pretty lucky to not really have a bad job.
Thanks.

R/R: I'm so confused this month. I think I may have O on CD 13 or 14, but I always O on CD 17. I'm going to wait another day to confirm temps.I guess it's true what they say you're regular until you're not! On the bright side our timing will be good either way.
CS/Q:
GTKY: In honor of Labor Day, what's the best and worst job you've had?
Worst: Prom dress store and a clothing store.
Best: My current job, working at a university.
DH and I had sex last night. When checking CM the next day how do you account for any left overs?
Also just laying in bed with his stuff just hanging out in there was SUPER weird. First time I intentionally did this.
