Monday August 29th was my due date. Tuesday earlier that week at my OB appt I agreed to having my membranes stripped. Following that I lost my plug is bits and pieces all week long and had some contractions here and there but nothing serious. I didn't do much all weekend due to feeling really exhausted and just over being pregnant. Sunday I cut the lawn, we have a riding lawn mower so NBD. Went to bed Sunday around 10:30, woke up at 12:30 witha Contraction went pee thinking it would go away, sat back down in bed, had another contraction. Then my DS woke up so I went in his room and rocked him back to sleep for 15 mins or so. When I got back in my bed I decided I should probably start timing these since I had a few while I was putting my son down. I timed them quietly in bed for about 25 mins, realizing they were actually contractions with a pattern of about 3:30 apart lasting 1:10 or so. I decided to wake my husband up and ask him to come down stairs with me and see if I could get them to stop. After all it was 2:30 in the morning and I didn't want to "sound all the alarms" if it was false labor. So i started to do the dishes and pack up the rest of the bag while still timing them. They continued and got stronger... Ok, panic a bit & start the phone calls! We left our house at about 2:50 for the 35 min drive to the hospital. By now my contractions were 3 mins apart about 1 min long. Checked into hospital at 3:15am and I was down to 2 mins apart ... Got put in our room and checked around 3:35. I was 100% effaced and 8 cm already... Had husband call the birth photographer! My doctor showed up around 3:45, broke my water right away and I was ready to push by 4:00, Bristol Mia entered the world at 4:10am. I got to catch her myself, my birth photographer made it and it was amazing! My husband and I got to roll baby over and spread the legs together to see what we had (team green all the way to the end) it was really awesome. I cannot believe my labor was only 3 hours and 40 mins long from start to finish but man was it amazing! I placed my daughter on my chest and my husband and I cried and shared such a special moment there! After about 7 mins they clamped the cordand started stitching me up about the same time she started rooting for a boob. I was able to get her to latch right away and she nursed for about 90 mins! 7lbs even, 20" long 10 fingers 10 toes and a perfect little baby nose
