UO/FFFC

#mood

Let's hear it, ladies. Considering how tired and delirious some of us may be, this ought to be interesting.

  • We've been doing it to @texasmama2015 and @tisunge602. Sad news for us is we haven't found a paci this kid likes yet.

  • DH told me I have to stop holding LO as much so I can spend more time with DD. I don't feel I've held him a ridiculous amount, but I'm not going to just leave him in the bassinet all day and DD is excited to play with DH while he's home. I think it's more of him being tired of having to take care of her, but I can't do both at the same time. I also make sure I spend the time LO is sleeping in the bassinet with DD and when she comes to me to snuggle I pull her onto the couch so all three of us can snuggle and she can bond with LO. DH is home for three weeks and I plan on using as much time as possible snuggling LO before my time is split and I get the babysitting baby back.

Today is the last day of DH's 3 weeks at home and I did the exact same thing. DH took most of the responsibility for DS1 so I could care for DS2. He works pretty long hours, so I have plenty of time with DS1 once he's back to work. I think it was essential bonding time for me and DS2 these past few weeks (and essential for my milk supply too!).

  • Same.  I've picked 3-4 threads to follow and hope I'm not missing too much good stuff.
  • DH: It's cooler when we leave the sunroom & front doors open, and we can give the AC a rest...but you'll have to stop walking with your titties out.

Me: I have to cover up?

DH: (laughing) Uh, yea! I don't want the neighbors seeimg you.

Me: Nope,  leave the AC on.

Sorry, mostly EBF, these girls deserve freedom. Last thing I want is to wear a bra or shirt. Even if it is 80 outside and beautiful.
  • Haha @lblu43 I do the same thing, although I have to at least wear a bra with nursing pads or I'll leak all over the place. I see no point in wearing a shirt anymore. I only put a nursing tank on when company comes over .. then it comes right back off! The other day I was taking the trash it and I realized once i got to the trash can that I just had my bra and shorts on  :D .. luckily we live in a rural area, but I thought about it and our Amish neighbors might not appreciate my boob freedom!

@AliKay20 don't feel bad about the lullabies. .. I've never sang them either. As a result my kids love my music. Their favorite song is separate world's by journey ;)

We did the same. DD is a big fan of my thug rap trap music.
  • DS1 is obsessed with 50s &60s music. He loves Buddy Holly and every night requests "Feelin Groovy" by Simon & Garfunkel.  Who needs lullabies??
  • @Lynnlove28. DH uses a station on spodify that's turned classics into lullaby sounds. For example- yellow submarine, star wars theme, bohemian rhapsody. The only reason we do that at night for white noise instead of a white noise machine is so that he will like more than my "crappy gansta rap music" ( as DH puts it)

when i pregnant, My House by FloRida was my go to for feeling DS kick. He either hated it or loved it. Lol

This. The other day, DH was rocking DD to sleep singing My House (the chorus at least) then hummed the melody for the most part. ;)

It's only September 1 and already I'm so over pumpkin everything. Andplusalso, pumpkin spice lattes are gross. So is pumpkin beer.
I am the complete opposite. I am so over the heat and am going to be those Starbucks' whores that will get their PSL earlier than the official release date. And I want Fall everything. Pumpkin patch, apple cider donuts, pumpkin spice scented candles throughout the house...
  • @lotsofsunshine I do that when my ILs come over. To be fair; they come over a lot. They call and say "Oh I have this old napkin you might want... I'll just drop it by just in case" and stay for an hour.

  • @DDRRT1982 I hate giving baths! DH and I tried to give one just now and DD pooped all over her towel and DH and then peed all over a second towel and all over me and the floor. I just stood in the shower and cried.
  • I feel kind of guilty for not feeling guilty about leaving DS for a few hours with my mom at 2 and a half weeks old because DH and I desperately needed a date night since we've been at each other's throats. If it was anyone other than my mom who will literally just cuddle him until we get back I wouldn't have. DD I didn't leave for a couple of hours until over a month and a half.
  • DH and I are going out tomorrow to celebrate my birthday early since he has to work on my actual birthday. I am SO excited to get some baby free time with DH. Mama needs a break! DH has been working the evening shift so he's pretty much gone from 1pm-12am every day which makes for super long days/nights for me and I'm barely holding on to my sanity at this point. DD has been testing her boundaries and LO has barely let me put him down for longer than 10-20 mins at a time.
  • @ginger819 DH and I did the same thing and I felt no guilt! We really needed a moment to connect and just talk to each other without a toddler or an infant in our arms. I think putting a little attention into your marriage is really important, especially when there are so many stressors that go along with having a LO.
