Xavier Maxwell...already in a hurry!!!

So my little guy decided to make his debut at 36w4d which makes him a late preterm baby. Weighing in at 5#7.8oz and 19in long. I'm a FTM so thought I had awhile before he would be here but he had other plans. Water spontaneously broke at 6:50pm Wednesday 8/31 and we had him at 1:11am Thursday 9/1. Not sure if labor started before my water broke or not but things went quickly after that. When admitted and first checked for dilation, I was only at 1cm, so thought we were in for the long haul. I wanted to labor longer at home but since I was GBS positive we had to head in after water broke. They checked me couple hours later and I was at 3 cm. Then about 30-45 min I was complete. Pushed for they say 20 to 30 mins and out came little man. I never in a million years thought I would have a precipitous delivery but alas here we are. He is amazing and took to nursing like a boss and has been doing great since. Also still cannot believe I was able to do it all natural even though there were times I almost gave in. I did it and am so proud of all involved.

Wow! You should be really proud! I can't believe he came so early! I love his name so much. Xavier is really high up on our list! It's beautiful and so is he. So glad everything is going to well.
