I bought almost the exact same for our baby. Add in a minty blue green colour and will be doing the coral last after baby is born if it's a girl. Now to decide on a pattern... it was my reward after finally finishing DD's blanket that was supposed to be done before she was born. (Now 13 months) oops!
@FishyMom That isn't failure! I love those colors together... half the battle for me is getting my colors worked out and finding yarn that I want to work with
I found the perfect yarn for a baby blanket but I have to wait until our A/S on Oct 4th to know which color to buy. They are gray, green, and blue and gray, green, and pink and so soft! Our nursery colors are going to be gray and green and I'll probably throw in accents of either blue or pink so I couldn't believe it when I saw this yarn at the store the other day!
@marriedhamstermom That yarn looks fantastic too! Where are you ladies finding these nice colored baby yarns? I usually go to Joanns but they have mainly pastels for babies.
@WinchesterGirl I actually saw them at Michaels. Joanns does have it online if you search under their baby yarns. It's Bernat Baby Blanket yarn and the blue one is called Little Boy Dove and the Pink Little Girl Dove. I too am not a huge fan of the pastels so when I saw these I fell in love b/c they are not quite full on bright but also not totally pastel. Plus it is soooo soft, like I can't even emphasize how soft this yarn is. I will be jealous of this baby blanket haha!

I have no update to my crafts...I predict it will take me until the baby is here to knit 4" because I don't trust my dogs anymore. Football season may be my only saving grace.
I really need to get on this "halloween costume" business. My daughter has been super into the Hulk, so DH wants us to go as The Hulk Family... Costumes won't be that hard to make for it, but I don't know if I am feeling it.
i did score some super cheap ribbon a few days ago, so I will be making some bows for DD
@peachesnbean if you try again and it's still not quite like the picture, you may be able to adjust the stitches slightly. Some patterns for me don't quite line up with how I crochet, if that makes any sense.
@kerris713 I love the felt toys! I made some for my niece a while ago... I like working with the felt because it's easy to adjust when you stitch it up. So basically even if you can't draw a straight line like me, they can still be cute when you're done! I don't have any pictures of the food, but I did find a few others.
DH took his parents on a 7 day cruise so I took the week off to craft all week.. I have a LOOONG to do list!
who goes on a seven day cruise with their parents and no spouse?
Someone who would have had to pay $800 for an almost two year old and $1600 (not including airfare) for a mom who would have spent ALOT of time in the state room due to naps and bed time. I volunteered not to go. He felt so bad about it.. I just told him he owes me a long weekend to go see my first BMB.
@PerraSucia the only thing I managed to wool felt were some dryer balls... it took way longer than I expected and they are still ugly (but functional). So I give you credit for even trying to do the felted monsters. That is way beyond my skill level.
Not crafting, but crafting adjacent. I bought the first things that are, in my mind, specifically for this baby. A bunch of knitting related children's books - I went a bit nuts... And started a wish list with more knitting children's books...

I don't know if this counts as crafty? But we are painting my daughters bedroom furniture. She is an O'14 baby and is getting a big girl bedroom makeover.
