Ok so how bad would it be if I had a decaf one???? I don't drink soda and have one cup of coffee a day. I crave vegetable soup for God's sake!!!!! I've been super healthy! Can I please have just one????? What do you ladies think?
Go for it. Do full caf, half caf, or decaf. Whatever your heart wants. I wouldn't worry about the sugar content, especially if your eating pretty healthy otherwise. I had a decaf caramel macchiato yesterday and it was delicious.
I am craving it right now but I think I will wait until tomorrow morning rather than getting one after 5pm after work haha. I love pumpkin everything! I believe that I will be getting a decaf iced coffee with the pumpkin syrup and some milk tomorrow and I cannot wait!
Yeah, go for it. Espresso has less caffeine than coffee anyway so you can even have a full caf one in addition to your coffee if you want. Sugar is fine in moderation too. I worry more about artifical sweetners.
I've had one a day for the past 2 days and plan to partake again tomorrow!!! It's the only non water beverage I consume in a day! It's my favorite not so guilt pleasure!
Im going to want one so badly so Im glad I can get it with decaf. I've made up my own speciality drink, it's called Cafe Au Preggy. It's 1/3 coffee, 1/3 milk, and 1/3 additional water and I usually only have a 6 oz serving. I would LOVE to drink a regular coffee but caffeine makes me completely wig out now and when I crash, I crash SO hard - exhaustion, headache, dizziness. It really isn't worth it! But I cannot go an entire Fall with one!
Do it! If you're making healthy choices the rest of the time, indulging a little won't hurt baby. Plus, it's delicious and good for your mental health.
My dr actually told me she would prefer I have a small cup of caf coffee rather than any decaf. Or I can have a couple of cups of tea throughout the day. I plan on getting my hands on that pumpkin spice. LOL. If you get a small latte at Starbucks, it's only 75 mg of caffeine! Enjoy!

Did she say why she prefers that over decaf? Interesting...
this isn't latte specific but I am ready for all things pumpkin. Especially pumpkin breakfast foods...how would one make pumpkin French toast? AND one of our tiny local breweries has released a small batch of pumpkin pie ale. WHYYY?! I have actually tried to figure out a rationale for how it might be ok to try some. :l

I was also told that Artificial sweeteners (aspartame and sucralose) are fine during pregnancy as the only thing I could keep down with my morning sickness was that water sweetened with the squirt in flavor. I know some people don't like them but I needed to drink something.
@zdmd_14, it's all about the Pumpkin Pie Spice! I've made Pumpkin Spice French toast before. Make the egg mix the same as usual, but add some of the pumpkin pie spice to it. DH loved it. Man...now I want French toast....

DH is supposed to make me French toast and bacon tomorrow because work has worn me down this week. Maybe I should go by the store and get pumpkin pie spice on the way home.....

I've been downing a 24 oz. sugar-free (and sugar substitute-free) spiced chai every day. Well, some days I just go for the good stuff and pick some up from our local Indian restaurant (that's the good stuff). And I asked my husband to make me a pumpkin pie the other day. I've been craving those spices too!
I talked DH into making pumpkin French toast this morning even though he's not crazy about pumpkin everything. They were amazing. And I have this thread to thank for the idea!

Our short lived cooler weather and this board having me craving fall! Tomorrow I'm totally making delicious pumpkin cupcakes. A can of pumpkin, a box of cake mix, and cream cheese frosting. So easy and SOOO good!
I may have bought the PSL Starbucks Keurig K-Cups so I can make them at home. SO DELICIOUS. Although I feel like it's a little too early here to start drinking them. We haven't even left the 100's whether wise so it's still so hot.

Am I the only one who drinks more coffee than I should? My first pregnancy I totally followed the rules. This one...toddler + pregnancy = whatever the f I want to stay alive. Go for it!
Yes @oboeodo! I went caffeine free last pregnancy and made it through the first tri with this one, but having a toddler makes it so much harder! I got the coffee pot out when we had house guests and never put it back away. It has greatly improved my quality of life having some caffeine every day! In general I've been more lax about the rules with this pregnancy though. I was very conservative last time and this time I have had lunch meat, blue cheese, feta, and soft serve all of which I cut out last time. Second child problems lol!
I feel so guilty when I have caffeine, I haven't had a single cup of regular coffee since finding out I was pregnant. A few times I've gone to have one and can't. Maybe it's a FTM thing.
Yes! So excited for my first PSL! I've been so busy this week (and it's still 100+ here in Phx) I completely forgot it was pumpkin spice season until I saw someone post on FB!

I'll wait till it's cooler now to have another but I thoroughly enjoyed it
also @oboeodo I was thinking the same thing. Haha I drink more than I "should" but I also did with DS and he's OK
