You know, I've been surprised this pregnancy at the specificity of my cravings. Last time I couldn't eat anything 1st tri, but this time, I want very specific things and I HAVE TO HAVE THEM. Avocado roll, BBQ (although that's now an aversion), an egg and cheese bagel sandwich...
I haven't had the best luck giving into my cravings so far. I picked up KFC the other night and forgot that our KFC is awful, so it sucked. I made an awesome salad only to have it turn on me and keep me sitting on the toilet for who-knows-how-long. Today though, I'm getting my Thai food. Come on, red curry!!
I'm trying so hard to eat healthy but all the healthy things make me gag. I wanted a burger so bad from DQ last week and got one. I wanted a spinach deep dish pizza yesterday and got it. I feel awful afterward, but it's worth it. Haha! I gotta eat something, so why not? I'm losing weight from nausea at this point so I'll probably just give in to cravings I actually want for now.
Last time it was all about the warm foods..soups, baked pastas, etc. This time around, I just want cold! Ice cream, cold pasta, oh yes, and more ice cream!
Not too much. I'll get hungry, crave something and get it, and then find that I can't stand the sight, let alone smell and taste of it. Has happened a lot recently. Right now, chicken seems to be the only meat that is appealing.
I entered a stage yesterday where I don't have aversions but just REALLY don't feel like having certain foods...for instance I always have coffee first thing in the morning (have been having decaf since BFP) but haven't had a cup all week because I just don't want it. I was so averted from coffee with DD so I'm almost waiting for it to turn into that.
Also I made this amazing steak with white cheddar broccoli pasta and California mix veggies to take to work for my break and it's currently still sitting in my fridge...and absolutely nothing at work (I work at a grocery store so you'd think I have plenty of options) sounds appealing in the slightest except this half cool lime half berries refresher I'm currently sipping on
Today I absolutely had to have Popcorn. If I was home I would have convinced myself to be healthy about it and used the air popper, but instead I ran out at lunch to a gourmet Popcorn place and got chocolate caramel Popcorn. It was amazing.
I want all the things I can't have! I have celiacs and have been craving brownies, cookies, sandwiches. Technically I can make them from scratch with no gluten but that's sooo much work!!
I got so nauseous this afternoon I grabbed the first thing I could find to munch on...cheez-its. I don't normally love them but they tasted like little crispy squares of heaven today. I also splurged on a chocolate malt at Culver's which was delicious, but my toddler thought so too. Giving in to cravings was so much easier with the first baby.
I totally drank pickle juice last night and followed that up with double dark chocolate gelato. I'm a pregnant cliché

Wednesday I packed DD up and drove 30 minutes to a pastry shop for a slice of opera cream cake. Which turned into $24 in pastries. I only got to enjoy a few bites before I got so sick I had to put it away. So sad.
Ive been crushing some deviled egg pasta salad though. Soooogoood!!
I've been eating all the carbs... I'll eat an English muffin or bagel for breakfast and then some saltines when I get nauseous at work, then some more bread... My sweet tooth is pretty much completely gone, which is fantastic (seriously).
Actually went online yesterday to a company website to locate where to buy a type of dessert that I haven't seen at Target in a while; blood orange sorbet by Ciao Bella. Thank God the local Whole Foods carries it and we stopped by this morning. I have a feeling I will eat the whole tub in one sitting (so I bought two).
My best friend came to visit me after work this morning and brought a cupcake and macarons from this awesome little bakery in town and it both cheered my up and satisfied my craving...fuzzy peach macaron for the win!
Fast food plain cheeseburgers... Only thing that sounds editable and I don't eat fast food, but I have this week. I'm already down four pounds dues to an aversion to food in general so I gave in to the cheeseburger. Plain tortilla chips are working too, but they don't fill me up.
@mallyandryan me too! I'm losing weight for the same reason and the only thing I've been able to eat an entire serving of is cheeseburgers! Had another today but they had put so much ketchup on it it was a little much. Bleh. Sounds like I should have gone with plain too.
Mom fail today but DS and I ate chips and queso for lunch today and it was SO good. I did cut up a peach to have with it so that makes it less of a fail right?!
I clicked on this thread because I have Total meat adversion going on right now. I made bean tostadas for supper and now I have no idea what to make the rest of the week. Barely anything sounds good to me, I am in desperate need of ideas on what to make for dinner the rest of the week.
Oh man food is the bane of my existance right now. I was only a little nauseous the last few weeks and jinxed myself. Now I'm super nauseous throwing up every day. Boo! Watching food being cooked smelling it while it's cooking etc makes me nauseous. So we have been eating out way too much. For some reason pancakes and pasta has been going down well. That's about it. Last pregnancy it was chicken quesadillas.
I know some people can't stand green peppers because they supposedly taste like soap, but that has never been the case for me until today - I cut up a green pepper to eat at lunch (trying to eat well.....) and it tasted like straight up laundry detergent. So weird!!!
The only thing that ever sounds good to eat is Taco Bell. DH asks me everyday "What's for dinner?" My response is always Taco Bell. Unfortunately, he is not very receptive to my dinner plans....
