  • @ADRIANAC1982 Welcome!! I've had period like cramps on and off since transfer - I'm 7 wks, 3 days today. So, completely normal. I was freaking out before my first u/s too. Try not to worry too much! Once you see your baby, you'll feel so much better!

I'm feeling extra preggers today... wore a slim fitting dress and am sportin a tiny bumb after my large lunch :). Can't wait until it's an ACTUAL bump!

  • Anyone not have symptoms at all besides sore boobs and mild cramping? As silly as this sounds Im a little envious of you ladies with ms. Crazy, I know but anything to let me know my little bean is growing. I've read ms normally starts around week 6 which will be next week. Hopefully I didnt jinx myself since I have a very weak stomach and get sick very easily.
  • @Steff_99 - don't worry about it. I didn't have any nausea until late week 5, but some women don't have ms at all! Just depends on the person. Try not to stress, and enjoy your calm tummy!

  • @Steff_99 I didn't really feel anything symptom wise till 7 weeks :)

    @ADRIANAC1982 welcome! :)
  • Hi everyone!

I'm so happy to join you in the other side!! It's fun to see a lot of people from August/Septemper IVF group! I'm now 5 weeks pregnant and will have my first U/S next Wednesday 09/07. Can't wait!! My EDD is 05/03/17.

I don't have any ms yet, but I'd bet it will come soon enough!
  • @steff_99 my ms comes every other day, and started only at night like around 10/11 pm. Hopefully it gradually hits you so you enjoy a week or two more of feeling well.
  • @ADRIANAC1982 and @sanBL Congrats and welcome! I updated the list.

@AandDM2014 So far our favorites on Netflix are Daredevil, House of Cards, Marco Polo, and Sense8. I'm sorry your DH isn't feeling well and I think it's so funny (and smart) that you banished him to another floor. I am on immune system suppressing steroids until next week so I would do the same!

@pdbird Yay for subsiding morning sickness!

@Sunflower5678 I hope the gall bladder issue improves and the nausea too so that your appetite can accommodate any required dietary changes. By week 9 my nausea started to come and go and I think week 8 was the worst. I hope your little bean's growth is on track and you see a tiny gummy bear during tomorrow's US.

Tip for newbies: We were so stunned to see movement during our week 8 US (squirmy little gummy bear waving all limb buds) we didn't even think about capturing video until week 9 and now we watch dancing babybean on repeat every day. Plus, the on-screen image quality is a bit better than the photos they print out. I've read that some REs/OBs don't allow video/photos during US. If yours is okay with it, I'd wait until after measurements are taken (unless you want all of that in the video too) and you may need to push a little on your belly to wake them up. :)

  • @ADRIANAC1982 and @SanBL - welcome to the other side....so nice to see you here!

@babylonghorn16 and @cmm012 - a friend told me that 1st trimester feels like a combination of a hangover and the flu, and having had both ;-) I completely agree

@mrygoround - that is excellent advice about taping the ultrasound...we are enjoying these early home movies   I started recording from the transfer, but mostly because I also do ultrasounds as a part of my job, so it was even more special at these first looks.

and speaking of, I am 7 weeks today and we got our second ultrasound today! Both babies looking good with heart rates 133 and 128, baby a still measuring 2 days behind baby b...so much cuter this week!  Next week will be last ultrasound and final "graduation" meeting with RE. Is anybody else having a hard time finding an Ob or midwife to move on with?  Since we are having twins, that limits some things...don't want someone who does c sections only for multiples, need to have a great nicu available, etc.

also, has anybody read about/researched delayed cord clamping? Wondered what your thoughts might be...

  • Welcome @SanBL. I remember you from the IF boards. So glad you are here! I know being over here is surreal! I hope your first ultrasound goes well.

@mrygoround I love the idea of a week 8 video! My US is tomorrow, so I plan to do that for DH since he's still away from home working.

@happydays13 I have heard of delayed clamping, but don't know if it will be an option for me since I will be having a c-section.  I have to look at the hospital policies.

  • Yay I finally found this board! Hi everyone, I was in the July IVF group. I'm pregnant with a singleton after a fresh transfer of 2 blasts. My estimated due date is 4/13/2017. I'm looking for some support during this first trimester (like I imagine we all are!)

I had an ultrasound at 6 (HB 100) and 7 weeks (HB 129 and baby measured 10mm/1cm). I'm exactly 8 weeks today and my next ultrasound isn't till 9/19 and I'll also be doing the maternity 21/chromosome test that day too.

@babylonghorn16 I only had two u/s with my RE as well. Since I was measuring small they had me come in at week 9 instead of 10 (next week) to check sooner for any issues. I hope this week goes by fast for you but I totally get the anticipation!

  • @Sunflower5678 - how did your gallbladder ultrasound go?  Sorry if I missed it, if you posted already.

@babylonghorn16 and @teriulbricht - it's so crazy how different all the RE's do things. I had last blood work at 2nd beta and that was just to check estradiol. The last time they checked progesterone was at transfer day. When beta#1 was positive they increased my PIO to 1ml every other day and endometrin to 3x/day...but never check levels...not even when they found twins (wouldn't 2 need more than 1?) but they said it will be fine, so I am trusting them. And after seeing heartbeat at week 6 ultrasound, they tapered the estradiol down over a few days and stopped it by 6w5d. But I am pretty glad that this protocol does weekly ultrasounds....will be a little sad to graduate next week since I'm sure the ultrasounds will get fewer and farther between.

  • I'm a twin momma too and I am 9weeks tomorrow. They haven't checked my progesterone since I believe my last beta. I was on Endometrin 3x daily but was taken off die to UTI it was giving me (2 in 5 weeks). I now take an oral progesterone pills at bedtime. I believe it would be 400mg.
  • @Happydays13 my  ultrasound came back for my gallbladder showing that I have sludge but no stones. Sludge?! How gross does that sound?! Haha!

So pretty much they said to watch my diet carefully and most likely at some point in my life my gallbladder will need to come out. He said it can come out during pregnancy but obviously we will try to avoid that!
They would like to do another test on my gallbladder but I can't do it while pregnant because it's a nuclear med study - which would let us know if it's functioning properly or not.

It hasn't hurt for a few days so I'm hoping it was just a small flair up last week and I'm really trying hard to cut out fatty stuff!
  • @babylonghorn16 I'm going for a six an u/s next Wednesday with the RE. I guess I'll find out then when I go to my regular OB.

@kristynelson13 Welcome! I also did my IUI in August. I'll be six weeks Monday!

I've been experiencing a little more spotting the past few days, but it is still very minimal, so I'm trying not to freak. The RE says it is totally normal, and from what I've read online I don't think I have anything to worry about. I will feel much better once we see the tadpole Wednesday.

My appointment today went great! I was so expecting bad news, but all three are still growing great! 1 measured at 8 weeks (which I'll be tomorrow) and the other two measured at 7w6d! Baby C has caught up since last week! Doc said next week we'll talk about what to do about all three embryos taking, but we're pretty firmly in the "keep" mindset right now.

  • @aanddm2014 that's great all three babes are doing well! Hopefully next week the Dr will respect your wishes on keeping all three.
  • @ale9687 I hope so too, though there isn't anything he can do to force me to do selective reduction. We're still waiting until we meet with an MFM before deciding anything permanent.

    • @AandDM2014 so happy to hear all three are doing great!

@halips glad you got to see the u/s already and got to see the gestational sac and yolk sac! Awesome.

@clt2pwm11 I also have some spotting every now and then. My RE didn't even react to it and said "that was expected". Seeing the u/s on Thursday really helped calm my nerves so I hope it helps you too when yours comes on Wednesday.

@cmm012 it must be hard for both of you to be apart so much. Hope you have a great week together.

AFM: I had my blood work and ultrasound on Thursday (at 5w1d). I had been freaking out a bit because I was spotting quite insistently over 2 days and I thought maybe I was losing one of the two. Beta jumped to over 14000 The ultrasound showed two perfect gestational sacs but not much of yolk sacs yet, just a tiny dot on both. But RE not concerned and said it's early. Next u/s is scheduled for the 9/13 and then we expect heartbeat.

It's sinking in slowly, although my only symptom is still just fatigue and nothing else.
      Happy weekend!
