They told me after retrieval on the 6th to come back to the office on the 8th for estrogen and progesterone levels.

Married my best friend in 2013 (I was 33), After 1.5yrs of TTC got my first BFP naturally on 2/7/15 but ended in DNC on 4/14/15, not viable. • @bells5200 I think it's to make sure that it's at a level that is able to sustain a pregnancy. My office doesn't do any blood work following transfer but I know it's fairly common to see if you need to adjust your meds at all.
  • @Tusername I'm glad to see you back at it, as I was devastated for you as well when you MC'd.  I'm glad you didn't have to wait too long to get back at it.  GL this month!

@bells52000 Congrats on being the first of our group to be PUPO!!  Since I started "tracking" these groups, the first of the group has always been BFP, so hoping you will be too!  Did your RE mention where the 50% chance of success comes from?

Welcome to the rest of the newbies to this group!

AFM, I had my lining check today and everything looks great!  Lining is 8.3 and estrogen is 487.  I was told to continue estrace as is, and my next check is next Friday.  According to my little calendar, I'm scheduled to start PIO next Saturday.  Exactly 2 weeks until transfer!  EEEEEEK!!!

@LeFemmeViolette That is so awesome about Bridget Jones's Baby.  I did a major eye roll when I saw the trailer for that movie.  Isn't Renee Zellweger like 50?

Good point, she's got to be at least 45. Let me check...

Apparently she's 43 in the new movie.
  • OMG @wifeinraleigh28 That made my heart drop!  I hope I dont mess up the trend and certainly appreciate any luck coming my way for being at the top of the list!

The dr said we had a greater than 50% chance now. And I said I thought it was about 30%.  To which he said I do too much reading online!  lol  He said because my lining looked good and the embryo is pgs tested, it takes out the mass number of misses that come from chromosomal abnormality and leaves me with the same rate as a 20 year old with all things normal.  So there is always going to be the chance of no implant or a miscarry but I reduced it as much as I could.

Thanks for the info on the estrogen @mtpbadger!  Glad to know I am not alone @LSatturo126  Are you in Basking ridge Nj?

  • Finally caught up! @wifeinraleigh28 thanks so much for putting the table together, makes me so excited to see everyone's dates coming up. I'll fill mine in when I know what's happening. I have my first scan on Tuesday so not sure when the FET will be yet. My specialist called me a few days ago and said that I wont take any drugs at all this time, Nothing! Which I guess is good, I just want to do whatever it takes to work! She said she expects this one or the next to be successful. Her confidence shocked me a bit, I don't want to get my hopes up though!

@Tusername so sorry to hear about your experience, I hope this is your month Goodluck!
  • @bells52000 yay for being first up! We will all be cheering you on!!

I hear you on the fatigue!  It's also making me bloated despite a reduced appetite... Huhhhhh? Humbug to it all, but it's for a good cause.
  • @LSatturo126. I am excited to have another nj person!  I go to south jersey fertility, Burlington office. Transfers/retrieval in Marlton.  Our appointment was at 11:45, they ultrasounded me right away and decided I needed a fuller bladder.  So that stalled things about 15 mins or so.  Once he was satisfied, the re opens you up, cleans everything out and put a catheter in where he will direct the egg. Once he had it set,  the embriologist shoots out of the room to get the egg! They put the egg catheter thru the other. Wiggled around a bit to make it perfect and Its done.  We all just stared at ithe egg on the screen for a bit. And then I just stayed there for 25 minutes.  Used the bathroom, got appointments for my blood work and we were out. I would say even with the stall it was just over an hour. And we were chatting with the dr randomly for a while.

i haven't done any acupuncture. they offer it, but they don't push it.  So I never really jumped on board.

I've been on the estrogen for the past couple of weeks. Feeling great! Running lots, working out, feeling hella ripped. Started progesterone today and want to crawl into bed and sleep for a month. What the heck!

So this is how the 2WW is going to go - is this shitty feeling ms or progesterone??
  • @FatPony I hear ya, progesterone made me feel rubbish last month!! Hope you start to feel better soon!

@bells52000 what IS wrong with you? Lol I'm doing the PIO right now and hate it! Lol wish my doctor would have chosen the suppositories instead but it's PIO until 8 weeks of pregnancy (assuming the transfer takes on Tuesday) lol. Everytime my Hubby does it, it hurts for a sec then he draws the needle out and either a little blood or oil comes out. So not fun and the men are so lucky lol. What's crib one?

  • I'm not looking forward to PIO.  Last time I had a FET they only had me do the crinone application 2x daily.  The nurse told me the protocol changed this year to include the PIO and that this had to be injected into my poor gluteus maximus.  Say whhhhaaatttt

I have been crazy tired on estrace as well.  Last night I went to bed early because I just could not stay up anymore and ended up getting over 9 hours of sleep.  Woke up and was still completely exhausted.

I think my RE is giving me the option to switch to suppositories after a positive beta, but until then it's PIO only.  DH and I have decided to do the PIO in the morning rather than at night.  I always hated it when my injection schedule messed with other things we wanted to do... like go out to dinner with friends.  Morning just sounds much more preferable.

I hope you're all enjoying your long holiday weekend!  My neighborhood seems to be having one crisis after another this weekend.  2 nights ago there was a house fire down on the other end of our street, then this morning in a nearby neighborhood someone passed away (we don't know the person, we only assume it was a death because there were emergency vehicles out front, lots of cars parked, and no one was "rushing"), and just about an hour ago when DH and I were getting pedicures (also in our neighborhood), a woman seized and then collapsed.  WTF?

  • Hi ladies. I'd like to join in with this group. I had my official lining check yesterday. Unfortunately my lining was only at 7.5 so we are increasing my meds and pushing everything back a bit. Next lining check will be on Thursday. This is my second FET so I'm hoping for an ultra sticky lining this month. Good luck to everyone!!

I'm not looking forward to PIO.  Last time I had a FET they only had me do the crinone application 2x daily.  The nurse told me the protocol changed this year to include the PIO and that this had to be injected into my poor gluteus maximus.  Say whhhhaaatttt

I know exactly what you mean!  With my first FET last month I used Crinone. This month she wants me to do PIO to eliminate the possibility of an absorption problem. I am so nervous about it.

  • Oi @wifeinraleigh28. Bad luck comes in threes and that takes care of that.  Hopefully only good news for your neighborhood from here out.

lol @LSatturo126. I only had 7 pio shots. I stopped them last night and now I am on crinone.  I am surprised they stop them so early.

We did our shots right after dinner.  I got the shot and then walked to dog right after.  No lumps at all.

  • @wifeinraleigh28 I chose the mornings as well because on the weekends we are always somewhere and I don't want to be traveling with the needles etc. as much as I hate getting up at 7am every morning on the weekends at least I can jump back in bed lol. Thanks for the excel sheet! Question if I had two embryos good one from 3/29 and one from 6/17 that I'm putting both in, do I need to put both dates? Lol

  • Is anyone on medrol feeling awful? I've had a lingering cold and was eventually getting better. Then I started medrol and it came raging back and I'm feeling like shit again. I really hope being sick doesn't affect my chances
  • Are you doing the zpac with the medrol? @FatPony

Somewhere I read that medrol can weaken your immune system. So maybe fighting off what you had going on is tougher?  Thats my best guess.  :)
