I think of Neve Campbell. I think it's a neat name. And I think the answer to your question is whether the alternative pronunciation makes you hate the name or not, because you know you will encounter it.
Example: I love the name Dina (Dee-nuh) but really hate it pronounced dye-nuh, so can't use the name.
Honestly, I'm not sure which way is "right" or if it's dealer's choice. Even so, I think it's a good name!

I also think of Neve Campbell. I think it's a cool name, I don't think I would toss it because some people might pronounce it wrong (Chiron, it isn't). It's a name that you just correct the pronunciation and I think folks would get it right away, because what you told them to say is what they would have said if they hadn't said it the first way. If that makes sense. I guess I mean, I feel like people will already have both pronunciations in their head, and will just choose one. If they choose wrong, then it's not a huge adjustment because they've already considered it with the other sound.
I think it's Neev too. This is at the top of our list of girls names, along with the traditional Irish version, Niamh.
But the fact that so many people think of Neve (Nehv) Campbell makes me hesitate to use this spelling. And obviously the traditional version will be difficult for lots of people in the US. Such a pretty name though!
FWIW I believe Neve Campbell's first name is really a Flemish surname (her mother's maybe?), hence that pronunciation.
ETA: we are actually leaning towards Niamh right now, but there's still a possibility we'll go with Neve. I think @mellymar is right that it should be an easy correction if people get it wrong the first time.
My daughter's name is Niamh and before we named her we had the discussion of if we should try to anglicize it. I do believe Neve Campbell has made this more difficult, because like @KRB22 said her pronunciation is after her mother's surname which is entirely different. In English, Neve should be pronounced like Eve with an N, because of the vowel-consonant-vowel rule. Then you have that guy from MTV Nev who pronounces it neve.
After all of this, I decided it's just as confusing as Niamh. It's not like the Irish name Maebh which has the recognizable English spelling Maeve. Since I'm Irish I wanted to give her an Irish name, so I might as well given her the truest form of the name. I do have to say many people do not know how to pronounce it, but once they tell them they usually never forget and comment on how much they like it! Yes, she will have to spell her name for people, but my sister's name is Caitlin and she is always spelling it because there are a million ways to spell it!
