Last night we had chicken broccoli casserole and I made two extra for the freezer. This was my first thing to start my freezer stock pile so I'm pretty excited. Tonight is sesame chicken in the crock pot, tomorrow is manicotti, and Thursday is chicken with mashed potatoes and stuffing. I'm giving myself Friday and Saturday off cooking dinner this week but plan to make a few more things to freeze.
Black Bean Burritos French Toast with Bacon Spaghetti and Garlic Bread (weekly staple!) Copycat Zuppa Toscana (it's an Olive Garden soup) Anything night/leftovers Pizza Eat out
I'm hoping to make a recipe binder soon so I don't have to look through Pinterest every time for recipes!
I've made this many times and it is really delicious! I always end up using more chicken bouillon though, but I think that's because I make a big pot of it. You'll know the right flavor when you taste it.
I had 2 frozen corn dogs for dinner tonight. At least I cooked them.
Tomorrow: a freezer casserole from the stockpile. DH is picking.
Thursday: probably chicken nuggets and Mac n cheese.
Friday: I'm gonna try to convince DH we need breakfast for dinner cuz now I want pancakes.
Not a healthy week but we were on vacation until late last night, all of us are sick, I don't have fresh groceries, and I'm tired of cooking. Next week I promise I'll do better.
@kbduke haha! I feed 4 other adults every night, and always get raves about the menu! Is it always healthy? Obviously not, but I'm a huge southern/comfort food lover, and I do everything in moderation.
@Mamax2 Yum. That menu sounds delicious. Actually, EVERYONE'S menu sounds delicious. Clearly the animal crackers I had for breakfast were not enough. Here's my loose meal plan for the week.
Monday - Homemade pizza with easy pizza dough Tuesday - Leftover pizza and vegetarian chicken patties for protein Wednesday - DH is making pasta alfredo with broccoli and squash Thursday - Sandwiches, blueberries, and homemade potato salad Friday - Chicken dijon casserole (chicken, cream of mushroom soup, an assortment of veggies, and stuffing all baked together)
DH made black bean burritos last night (and then made the leftover into breakfast burritos this morning, after I almost cried because there wasn't anything to eat). I made tomato/chickpea stew with couscous the night before that, and tomato/cheddar pie with salad before that - we have so many extra tomatoes, it's ridiculous. Upcoming will probably be pizza because it's been a while, then maybe sausage and peppers because we have a lot of peppers too.
@washyourhandsplease the Damn Delicious site is one of my go to's for recipes, her cookbook is going on my Christmas list. I haven't tried that one but I will now. I love her Easy Lo Mein.
@temmetime DH and I went on a quest for something pumpkin last night after our breastfeeding class. I'd seen enough pumpkin on my instagram feed yesterday for a serious craving. We hit the jackpot at Starbucks. They had PSL (I got a tall decaf) even though the guy said technically it's not advertised until the 6th and pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. It was a triumph. Itch is now scratched.
