I just found out that my baby is breech yesterday, and I was thinking it would be nice to have a discussion thread for those of us who have breech babies to check in and talk about how we are feeling about it all.
How far along are you?
How is your baby positioned?
Do you know what your next steps will be?
How are you feeling?
Re: Breech Moms check in
How is your baby positioned? Transverse complete breech
Do you know what your next steps will be? C section if still breech.
How are you feeling? At peace, what ever happens will happen.
How is your baby positioned? He seems to think the bottom of my uterus makes a comfy hammock. His head is to the left of my belly button, his bottom and hands are at the very bottom, and his feet are to the right of my belly button.
Do you know what your next steps will be? Tomorrow is essentially my last day at work (I teach at a year around school and we have the week off next week, and then I will start my maternity leave). So i will have the time and energy to attempt some prenatal yoga, and possibly try some of the exercises on the spinning babies website. We scheduled our version appointment (where the doctor tries to turn the baby) for next Friday. This carries some risks, and there is a very real possibility I might have to have the baby that day either through induction or emergency c-section.
How are you feeling? Scared, sad, and a bit overwhelmed. Its a lot to go from thinking about starting your maternity leave and being able to slowly get ready for the baby, to suddenly have to switch to "Ok, what do we absolutely need to have and get done in the next week?". I was really hoping to not have a c-section.

mostly scared of the actual surgery part because I've never had surgery before. I'm at peace with this decision. And if he flips before then, the surgery will be cancelled and they will induce me then.
@jillybear82. I know it's a lot to process but there are still things you could try. Some of the spinning babies things only require 30-60 seconds a couple times a day. And at 36 weeks, baby still has time and space to flip. Chin up mama!!
