Do I REALLY need PnP sheets?

I don't know why it didn't occur to me that a PnP would need sheets, I guess because the mat is so pretty and patterned... Did you find that having sheets is required?

They don't sell them anywhere around here, and so I'd have to order them and have them shipped overseas and I'd just really rather not if it's not that critical. I doubt they'd beat the baby here anyway.

    IMO....YES!! Here's why: they "mat" cannot be cleaned easily since it has board underneath it, so you can't just throw it in the washing machine. Therefore, if you don't cover it with sheets and it gets stained/dirty, then you are left with stains on your mat :( If you don't want to deal with the hassle of having them shipped to you......what about just using a crib sheet and tucking it around the mat? It will be a bit big/baggy, but it will work.

    I don't have sheets for mine, but we just got it b/c our smaller one broke.  I do need to get some since we hope to use it for more than one child

    I have sheets for mine- but if you can't get them you could put a different sheet over it and tuck it in good underneath

    I used the ultimate crib sheet and just tucked it under..That way you can wash just that..Worked great..

    we have the graco pnp.  we do not use sheets.  i don't like the way they fit so i worry they might slip off and be dangerous.  plus, the pad wipes off pretty easily.  however, we use our pnp for her to play in and for travel.  i might feel differently if she was sleeping in it (like on our bedroom when she was a newborn)

    I totally think they are necessary. I wouldn't want something just thrown on there that wasn't meant to fit them and are ill fitting. If you want your baby to sleep in there, I would get the sheets.
