37 weeks on Friday. Had GBS screen this past Friday. Get results at next appointment.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Same old same old, swelling and carpal tunnel. Also heartburn is flaring up more often even with taking zantac. Now have to take tums from time to time to help. Oh and darn stretch marks are coming. Knew it would happen eventually since they are genetic but was hoping to skip them.
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings?
Stretch marks and pelvic discomfort. Found out my skin doesn't like the tummy butter for stretch marks. Break out in a rash whenever I try to use it. Craving popsicles lately.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born?
Sleeping position and not having to wear braces to bed. I know I won't have normal sleep but to be able to sleep somewhat on my belly again will be awesome. Love having him in there and moving around and want him to stay in until due date but I miss my favorite sleep position.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm still only a finger tip dilated, which is more than I ever was at 41 weeks with my son, so I should be ecstatic.... It's just bumming me out and I'd like to avoid another induction
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? Swollen fingers that feel arthritic- I can barely move them in the middle of the night/ morning. So painful!
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born? I'm pretty sure I'd sacrifice a finger or toe just to sleep in any position other than my side. And for some odd reason I have this need to get back to the gym- spin is calling my name!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all that's left to do in preparation for baby, but am happy each time we make progress. Two things I want to finish early this week - install the car seat and pack our hospital bag. DH has been helping me out and after vocalizing some of my anxiousness and such, he's been great.
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? The worst symptom at this point is extreme pelvic pain. Hurts to walk, change, etc. It's pretty terrible. Otherwise, I'd be able to manage better. I have really been enjoying ice cream lately. Normally I eat it only for special occasions, but I do partake more now...
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born? My body...having less pain and being able to sit and sleep how I want to. I have enjoyed my pregnancy up until this pelvic pain started. All of the other symptoms were manageable, but this has been awful.

Inwanted to give a shoutout to my husband. He's been working extra so I could stop working at job #1 and picking up extra slack at home. Even after working all day, he will come home and still make dinner and then wash the dishes and he won't let me help. He's been so good to me and I feel extremely lucky

I want pancakes and waffles like all the time!!!
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born?
being able to move without pain, stomach sleeping, not having giant swollen feet

Rants/Raves/Questions? My son started preschool this week and while it's been bittersweet, he is really liking it and I've LOVED having the extra relaxation time in the morning. It's kind of like getting a short vacation right before the baby comes!
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? I think my symptoms have been easing a bit just because I have that extra few hours to myself in the mornings now. Still feel super huge and pregnant, ready to be done, but less stressed about it at least.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born? This might be a weird one, but toddler wrestling, haha.... Before I got pregnant, DS1 and I used to roll around on the floor and play rough and tickle, I'd chase him around on all fours like a Mommy Monster, but since I've been pregnant I haven't been able to do it really. He's too rough with my belly and I'm too tired all the time now.

Upcoming appointments? God it's like appointment week this week. Growth scan tomorrow, so will hopefully find out how big she really is and if I'm getting induced early or not. Tuesday is my last appt with the diabetic nurse/dietician, then midwife appointment, then an NST.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I just want to sleep without having to change positions 20 times a night. That's all.
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? Hip pain, heartburn at night, the waddle is out of control.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born? I don't think anything's really going to return to normal so to speak, I guess I'm looking forward to finding out what our new normal will be like

Upcoming appointments? Have one on Monday, Im at weekly appointments but pushed out last weeks until this week.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Swollen fingers/toes are annoying. Not as bad as last pregnancy though. Overall I'm feeling much better this pregnancy than last. Despite my advanced maternal age
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? This kid must've moved down a bit, because I feel like I can eat things now. Still loving fruit and got irrationally mad when I had to share my mango with my kids...
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born? I cannot wait to get a legit workout in. I want to sweat and be out of breath because I'm working hard, not because I'm out of shape! (well, I will be out of shape for quite some time...)

These last 2 days are all I really have left. I've been cleaning getting laundry and school clothes washed and ready for the school week. Packing my sons bag to stay with grandma for 2 weeks. Im so emotional!!!

im looking forward to just being able to do more things in general. I've felt like I've been pregnant for two years literally! My son just turned a year old two weeks ago!!! So you can only imagine how ready I am!
What size is baby? Measuring 7lbs 3oz last week
Upcoming appointments? Meeting with my endocrinologist on Tuesday (type 1 diabetic) ,then weekly check, nst, and ultrasound on thursday. Last week my doctor said that it would be beneficial if I went into labor on my own, but if I don't by Thursday they will be inducing at 38 weeks they said, so I'm really hoping to go on my own... Fingers crossed..
Rants/raves/questions? I just moved into a new apartment a couple weeks ago, and I gotta say, I am LOVING having a dishwasher for the first time in four years!
Symptoms/aversions/cravings? The weirdest craving the past week has been scrambled eggs, which I normally can't stand, also strawberry poptarts
Look forward to returning to "normal"? I can relate to wanting to sleep normally again! I miss sleeping on my back so much these last few weeks. Also looking forward to being able to work on starting to lose weight again once I can since I've gained an absurd amount!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm raving on my husband!! He has been overly attentive and keeping the boys out of my hair the last couple days so I can try and kick these headaches.
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? Headaches and heartburn
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born? Eating a normal sized meal and putting my pants on normally. That hip pain is no joke!

Upcoming appointments? Wednesday, It will be my first ultrasound since the anatomy scan, so I am pretty excited to get a peek at the little guy.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I am definitely feeling ready to be off work soon. One more week. Between the fatigue and the ankle/feet swelling it has been pretty difficult.
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? Ankle and feet swelling. I can no longer wear my rings. Frequent heart burn. Fatigue. As far as cravings go, it is still the same old same old salty snacks and sweets.
GTKY: What are you most looking forward to returning to "normal" once baby is born? Two things, being able to sit on my patio and drink a glass of white wine in the evening. Second, being able to take a medicine like Flonase or Sudefed when I have sinus problems. I have frequent issues with my sinuses thanks to allergies and a deviated septum. Pregnancy (and the increased circulation that comes with it) have not made these issues any easier.
