How far along are you? 13w today

How big is baby? The size of a lemon

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? Next week Friday

Any new symptoms or changes? Still gaggy occasionally, but nausea and other symptoms seem to be subsiding (I know this is normal but still freaks me out).

Rants/Raves/Questions? Hmm...not really pregnancy related, but yesterday we had some friends over and were putting together a nacho bar for dinner. I made some meat ahead of time and was going to warm it in the crock pot. I took the pot out to quick rinse it out, forgot about it, and ended up pouring allll of the taco meat into the well of the crock pot while the pot was in the sink. I nearly cried when I realized what I had done.

GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? (Besides bumping at work, of course!  )Music--I play piano and organ at my church, I play handbells and am in two choirs. Hey @Jen524 I love to crochet too! I also *try* to knit but am not as good at that.

Hobbies: I enjoy playing guitar and singing - fitness in general - huge difficult crazy crossword puzzles <3

Nothing for a few weeks in an appt lull
    Any new symptoms or changes?
Starting to finally feel better and get more energy
    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Being grown and staying at your parents is a struggle. Luckily it's only for the next 4 weeks while hubby is at sea.
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? Kinda boring don't really have much for hobbies. Probably just say chasing the toddler and puppies around.

  • How far along are you? 13 weeks

    How big is baby? Lemon

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? I just had one this past Monday, so I don't know...3 weeks from now? I have the card they gave me somewhere...

Any new symptoms or changes? I had a headache for the past 2 days that I thought was going to take over my soul. I wouldn't call it a migraine because I didn't have the loss of vision and all that but it was seriously crippling. Also, I've been throwing up more. It used to just be a mild level of nausea at all times but especially in the evening. It's supposed to be subsiding around now, wth?

Rants/Raves/Questions? I just want my energy back. I feel bad for my little girl, because it seems to all hit me right after work. DH heard her say in the car "Lazy Mommy." Of course, he squashed that right away, but that makes me really sad that she feel that way.

GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? (Besides bumping at work, of course!  ) I also like to crochet! I'm an avid reader. Taking walks with the fam when it's not blistering heat like it has been. I like to cook and bake but don't often find the time. I used to be a musician but haven't picked it up for awhile; I took piano lessons for many years when I was a kid and was a band nerd in high school and beyond, playing the clarinet and the sax.

  • @Golferbee yeah, I have had terrible gas pains and diarrhea.
  • How far along are you? 11 weeks

    How big is baby? Lime

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? Monday. I'm both excited and nervous about it. TW: This is when we found out about our loss last time, so if everything looks good I feel like I can really start looking forward to this baby.

Any new symptoms or changes? The nausea was a little better the last few days but worse again yesterday evening. It was actually a relief to feel bad.

Rants/Raves/Questions? It's been raining all afternoon. Although I love the rain, I was wanting to go outside with DS to try some homemade Popsicles I put in the freezer this morning. We could do it inside, but it seems like a much better outside snack.

  • How far along are you? 10 weeks

How big is baby? Size of a raspberry.

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? 1st ultrasound October 11th

Any new symptoms or changes? Just starting to get nauseous which is super cool...

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant- nauseousness. Rave- honestly can't think of anything right now. Questions- anyone have anything they use for sleep? I have PTSD and it causes horrible insomnia. Used to just have half a gravol but I really don't want to take anything that I don't have too.

GTKY: What are some of your hobbies?
Pinterest ! I've got a little over 11K followers and about 12K pins and hundreds of boards. I went on a sick leave when I cracked my collarbone at work like 5 years ago and got really into Pinterest because I wasn't able to leave my bed all that much. Other then that I don't really have any other hobby's. Maybe reading and writing but that's kinda tapered off.
  • Wow!! Second trimester, here comes March17!!

@FrancesGrace630 I get so nauseous in the evenings to. I think it's because by then I'm still so bloated. :( H and I also love board games. What are some of your favorites? Our fall backs are suslly Dominion, Carcasson and Ticket to Ride. :) And Cards Against Humanity of course. :)

@mossn83 Chasing toddlers takes enough time I e considered a full time job, let alone hobby!  ;)

@Golferbee I didn't really experience a lot of gassy bloating with my son...that was more straight up nausea and puking. But this pregnancy the gas is out of control. Sometimes it even feels like cramps, and I start to freak out.....then I poop and all is better. So it is definitely normal for each pregnancy to be different!

    @ElleB11 Good luck tomorrow!!

@pinnerk Sorry to hear about your sleep troubles...pregnancy hormones must only make it worse. My best advice is naps and maybe look into essntial oils...but not all are safe for pregnancy so do your research!!

  • @Phil413 The mom guilt is out of control, right? I really wish I could have enjoyed my summer home with my son more. :(

@kjd291 Wow, you are almost there! A month away to seeing your baby's genitals, lol.

@liepertsm Your story could be pregnancy related. Pregnancy brain is a force not to be reckoned with.  I hope your dinner turned out okay...not gonna lie, I laughed out loud because it sounded like something I would do.

@Jen524 Definitely saxopone does not bring to mind an image of an old lady! Congrats on double digits!

  • How far along are you? 12 Weeks tomorrow!

How big is baby? Chicken Nugget!

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? Not until September 16th

Any new symptoms or changes? Nope, all the same still. Praying the nausea/gagging at everything goes away this week

Rants/Raves/Questions? Packing up my house for our short notice, very hectic move! Excited/nervous!

GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? Fishing, and hunting. Something I've grown up with and gives me a great appreciation for the world around me, and where my food comes from.
  • Good luck @ShaunaT25 - It will be so amazing to have a support network when you get there. Just from what you told us in your previous post it sounds like I is a no scary change but will ave a great pay off.

    How big is baby? Strawberry

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? Nothing :( found baby on home Doppler so hopefully I keep hearing the heartbeat and don't need a freak out emergency appointment.

    Any new symptoms or changes?
Nope and it's starting to get really old! Still nauseous, tired, cranky, farty, and now I get so stuffed up at night I can't sleep!
    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I miss having a social life. I'm so tired and nauseous all we've done the past few weekends is eat junk food and binge watch Tv. I know I'll miss these quiet times when baby comes but right now I'm starting to get stir crazy. I'll be happy in a few weeks when I'm in the second trimester and can finally tell people.
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? (Besides bumping at work, of course! ) I love spinning, cooking and drinking wine... But since that's on the back burner right now I'm just watching lots of reality TV.
  • @BaylieGirl Hang in there! If I remember right I got a huge energy boost at right around 4 months with my first pregnancy...hopefully the second tri will make life easier and more fun for you!

  • @longliveregina I really enjoy Settlers of Catan, Forbidden Desert, Pandemic, and Risk. Unfrotinately my husband hates games so I usually only get to play when I visit my family.
  • Thanks @longliveregina It has been a long time coming, and I have  a wonderful family who is pooling around me to help make this as smooth a transition as possible. I am a very lucky woman.
  • @pinnerk I have PTSD too, and was actually off work in June because it got a little out of control (also the month we conceived oddly enough). Me and Ativan were real close when I would get rounds of insomnia and that isn't an option anymore.

I've had horrible nausea/morning sickness with this pregnancy, and am on diclectin which has a little antihistamine in it, and it has been helping me to sleep. I'd talk to your OB/MD/MW or whoever you're seeing for recommendations on what would be an option for you. I know how hard it can be when you're not getting sleep.

Guided meditations for sleep are also my #1 go to, even before an Ativan. There are tons on youtube, worth a try if you haven't before! Good luck and I hope you get some shut eye!
  • @ShaunaT25

I'll give the guided meditations another go and I'll definitely be mentioning the meds. I hate the idea of having to take something but when your having flashbacks instead of falling asleep, something has to give. I get nutty without sleep.
  • How far along are you? 11 weeks

How big is baby1.6 inches (size of a like/caterpillar/poker chip) and 1/4 of an ounce!

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? Follow up sonogram and nt scan on Friday!

Any new symptoms or changes? Evening nausea is kicking my butt!

Rants/Raves/Questions? My husband literally keeps forgeting I am pregnant. Not really, just momentarily. Once this week he as laying into me about something absent minded I did (which wasn't even that big of a deal) until I said, "Yoire supposed to be nice to me while I'm pregnant!" He admitted he forgot I was knocked up for a minute!! Lol and smh.

I'll be so relieved after I see the heartbeat on Friday and once I sail into the 2nd tri...

GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? (Besides bumping at work, of course! I like walking and organizing things. I also like making "stuff:" curriculum materials, scrapbooks and photo albums, blog posts, writing and poetry, spreadsheets (lol)...I like to start with a plan and watch it happen.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Guess I'm super boring this week.

GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? (Besides bumping at work, of course!  )
Hobbies pre kid - my motorcycle,
scuba diving, wine and lots of traveling (work and leisure)

Hobbies now.... sold my bike, can't scuba while pregnant and really hard with an 11 mo lol, no wine, still some travel.

I think the description of my hobbies illustrates a mood I've been in. This was our first free weekend and there was lots to do in our area. But not so much to do with our lo. Bleh....
  • @longliveregina I know there is no possible way for me to be as excited as you for your appointment... But I have also been thinking about you and awaiting Friday because I can't wait for you to get good news and calm your anxious spirit!!!

and yes. Hooray for baby genitals. Bahah.  I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going by (compared to my first) I feel like March is going to be here in a blink of an eye for us all.
  • @vino831 No joke, having a 1 year old really limits what you can do. If baby isn't having a good time, ain't nobody is having a good time!

    13 weeks today

    How big is baby
    A Meyer lemon lol

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment
I talked to a new midwife today. Will go for lab work this week.

    Any new symptoms or changes?
Mild headaches off and on. And my nipples are a little sensitive. I didn't have any breast pain or tenderness 1st tm so that's new.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I brought up and home birth after talking with the midwife but my SO and my mom were both like yeah right lol my mom is sanctioning it for future grandkids which is hilarious to me.

Talking to the midwife was very comforting. I think I will probably still go the hospital route and ask her to attend and also consult with her throughout. She knows how things go in the states and the local systems here so I am thankful to have found her.

GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? (Besides bumping at work, of course! ;) )

After years of shaming people for sending me candy crush requests, I discovered that dell put the thing on my new laptop. So I've been popping bottles and eating chocolate and saving the bears all weekend!

  • @RunBooRun Good luck on Wednesday!

@MamaD233 One of my closest friends has had three homebirths...she definitely recommends it. I had a midwife attended birth in a hospital, and I had a great experience, too. Whatever you choose, you can have a really positive experience of you do your research and make sure you know what to expect in different scenarios. :)
