GTKY: Who is the most famous person you have met? Story, plz. Hmm. I have met a few famous people. The actress Greta Gerwig was eating breakfast at the same place my husband and I were at when we were on our honeymoon in Portland, OR. (She was filming an episode of Portlandia!) But I didn't go up to her and talk to her. I met Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins when I was 15! He was signing CDs at Virgin Records. OH! Also. We went to Ruth Chris's Steakhouse for a friend's birthday last year, and Robin Thicke and his entourage ate there in a private room. But he came out and sang "Happy Birthday" to a teenage girl at a table next to us. He was in town to do an event for Universal Studios.

How far along are you? What's new with your little babe? 20 weeks today! The baby is kicking all the time. I know I'm just going to have to get used to it, but it's so distracting when baby's constantly moving around and I'm trying to work
Have you done anything this week to prepare for the baby? We are putting up new trim in the nursery since we recently finished redoing the floors in there. Also got an Ubbi diaper bin on sale on Amazon this week! Yippee!
Rants/Raves/Questions/Symptoms: The heartburn is real and Tums are my new best friend, but that's A-OK with me. I also definitely popped over the last week and a half and look for sure pregnant now. It's awesome.
When's your next appointment? Not sure - I just had my anatomy scan earlier this week on Tuesday and everything looked perfect. Our gender reveal party is tomorrow! Eeeek!
GTKY: Who is the most famous person you have met? Story, plz. I didn't meet them per se, but I shared a snowy bus ride with JT and Cameron Diaz quite a few years ago in Vail. JT was obvious, but Cameron had her head wrapped up in a scarf so no one could tell it was her. Honestly, she would have been more in cognito if she had just looked like a normal person lol.
I had a very stressful 20 week scan today (you can see my separate post if you want details), but I'm trying to go as normal so I'm still going to post here today!

20 weeks! I've started feeling baby move and have felt a few kicks. FINALLY! I started feeling flutters at week 18 but wasn't sure if they were my tummy or what. Also I know the baby is a GIRL! Very surprised as I thought for sure it was a boy (though DH thought girl).

TMI lots of discharge. I told my husband and he asked if I could just use a tampon... lol men.
When's your next appointment?
Probably next week. My scan showed something potentially wrong with the baby's sack so I need to see a specialist. Next official appt is the 16th when I have my first home visit! Which is basically a thing they do in the UK where a support nurse comes to your house a couple of times pre birth and then every 2 weeks post birth.

Have you done anything this week to prepare for the baby? We added a few more items to our registry
Rants/Raves/Questions/Symptoms: I'm very anxious to feel him kick. We saw him moving like crazy in there. He's about 10 ounces. The doctor said she doesn't think I'll really feel him moving till I'm between 22 and 24 weeks.
When's your next appointment? We have our next doctor's appointment September 9 and an appointment to get an echo ultrasound on September 19.
GTKY: Who is the most famous person you have met? Story, plz. We met Joe Torre at a Sirius XM meet and greet. We met the comedian Russell Brand in Atlantic City.

Signed up for a class that runs from pre-natal to post-natal. It'll be useful to get some advice post-birth.

Stomach still looking more like a food baby than a real baby...but I guess I should be grateful I'm still fitting in all my clothes (except the less stretchy pants)!

The second tri isn't nearly as bad as the first... but I've been getting more heart burn, leg cramps, and headaches. ALSO.... sleep paralysis. A lot. Which is terrifying!

David Mann who plays Mr. Brown in Tyler Perry's movies/tv series. His whole famoly used to shop at the sams club where I worked. Haha
Have you done anything this week to prepare for the baby? Set up another daycare visit and continue to sloooowly clear up the guest room. Also bought some super cute crib sheets with silly patterns like dinosaurs and giraffes. This weekend we might buy some of the bigger items at Target, they're having a 10% storewide sale. I think that's a nationwide thing, by the way.

toured a few daycare centers, I'm still hoping to find a really good in-home instead but we did end up really liking one of the centers at least.

heartburn! Tums are an everyday occurrence now. I've been craving sweets like crazy, this baby loves ice cream!

Monday to go over the results of our anatomy scan from Thursday. We found out baby is a boy! They said everything looks perfect but we will go over everything in more detail at Monday's appointment.

Samantha Ponder (Steele) thought my dog was cute when we had him there tailgating for a football game so she had to have a picture with him. Otherwise the closest celebrity I have come to meeting is Kevin Costner at one of his concerts- did you know he has a country music band? Haha my husband and I love him and his music! He signed a baseball for us onstage, it was great!
