This is my last week in my current position, which I have been in for the last 5.5 years. Next week, I start a new job (same company), and am super excited to start. So, it's somewhat bittersweet. I like what I do, but some of the people were just too much (and I am a very easy going person... come to work, do my job, get along with everyone, etc). Now, to get my current workload finished by Friday... c'mon other departments who I am waiting on to get back to me!! I am ready for the change, and the increase in pay!
I will have to adjust to a new working schedule, as I have worked 7-3:30 for the last 5-7 years, so working 8-5 may be rough for a bit unless I can see about switching up my hours once I'm more in the role. I will miss my "me" time at home before DH gets home, or scheduling appointments/running errands before a majority of others are off. I still plan to get up and get ready like I do now, and will have time to east breakfast at home and not feel rushed.

December'16 December Siggy Challenge: Elf on the Shelf Fails **winner**
I swapped out all DS's clothes to the next size up, got out all the newborn clothes and organized everything. I don't get nesting urges so this stuff all takes a LOT of motivation. I also got a big pile of cloth diapers (our prefold stash) ready to ebay. We've found we really only use the bumgenius pocket diaps.
DH and I got the spare room cleaned out yesterday for his mother, who arrives tomorrow. DH also finally decided on a nursery theme, so we have picked out all the wall decor and bedding.
I got all of DS's stuff prepped, labeled and packed last night for the 1st day off preschool today, then got up this morning and made/ packed his lunch; got DS up, dressed and excited for the first day of school and managed to take pics and drop him off with no tears! In the last 3hrs I've enjoyed 2 cups of coffee cleaned the kitchen, re-potted 2 kitchen plants and am currently at the gym on the treadmill. Whoot!!!
@jennbaylor12 ADORABLE! I talked my sister into picking up L and I for a 5 day trip to my parents. I am missing my students so bad on the 1st day of school. So I get a change of pace, L gets to visit gparents, and I get to find one of our pups a new home(he can't deal with L's attempts to pet).

In spite of being in a terrible mood yesterday after my cry fest on Sunday (see: why my preg self is crying), I took a much needed nap, for dinner I made a bomb minestrone soup that I served with gnocchi, did all my chores, took a shower before my husband got home, and enjoyed the evening in spite of a crappy mooded first half of the day.
Today I have a load of towels in the wash, the kitchen cleaned, dishwasher going, the living room/kitchen/dining room tidied, vacuumed, and dusted. Dogs have been walked, littlest dog has been washed off in the sink after getting into some dirt, lunch has been enjoyed, I'm on my 2nd liter of water, and I've done my bible time. Twice this week I have made my bed.
Last week I had all of our clothes washed and dried by the weekend, I washed our bathmats and bed clothes, dusted the whole house, and Eaton's room is almost completely devoid of boxes and spare decor. I laid out where I needed DH to hang pictures in the house, and I cooked dinner almost every night. Exhausted me from two weeks ago is very proud of myself, this is the energy I was missing.
I haven't screamed at my computer screen at work yet, though I have been given plenty of reasons today.
Also, I'm killing it on making frozen breakfast things for DH that he actually likes. He has been eating 2 Jimmy dean frozen sandwiches a day for a while and it drives me nuts how expensive they are and that he eats 2 to feel full. So I made 10 burritos and 12 sandwiches and they cost about 75 cents each...and he only needs 1 to fill up! My wallet feels better already.
Feeling pretty proud of myself for drinking almost 4 liters of water today. That's the most I've had in a long time. Usually I have to mix it up with ginger ale or gatorade so I don't get sick. Not today my friends, not today!
I slept through the night for the first time in several nights (aside from one bathroom break). I feel slightly more sane today so I can focus on winning this $75m project for my company!
@brittnic86 It's ok--after I work for a few hours, I have nothing to do and I'm alone most days until 10pm now (DH has night classes) so I'm just getting this stuff knocked out while I can. I want to be a stress free as I can be in the days leading up to Ashton making his appearance...so this is what I do. Heh.
DH keeps saying Christmas isn't happening this year lol. Truth is we only buy for my niece and nephew, our parents, and each other anyways. And we skipped birthday gifts this year so we don't really care.
I'll get my niece and nephew something, but we may skip parent gifts. They'll be out here visiting anyways (we don't usually see them over the holidays) so I think we'll spend some money on some nice food, grill some steaks or something and call it done.
