Experience with free baby samples?

Ive read so many blogs about moms getting free baby samples or close to free after they pay shipping. I recently read the fine print and many say they will charge you a monthly fee if you don't cancel by a certain amount of time. Has anyone signed up for any of these offers or had any experience with them? Good idea? Bas idea?

Re: Experience with free baby samples?

  • Ive paid for the shipping for udder covers, and breast pads.  They came super quick and were of good quality.  I gave some away as gifts.  I would do that deal again.

Ive signed up for freebies at enfamil and huggies etc with the same results.

I havent signed up for anything that I would have to pay a membership free though.  The only time I provided credit card info was for the shipping deal.

  • I am part of various panels and stuff where I'll be sent things to test and review and I love them. I wouldn't do anything where I had to pay a membership fee though.

  • I've heard to steer clear of Honest Company because not everyone likes their products and it's hard to cancel if you end up not liking it. Plus it's so expensive. You can get quite a few freebies from Motherhood Maternity and signing up for emails from brands like Huggies, Pampers, Enfamil, etc.
  • Thank you all!
  • I second the Honest Co. freebies...I use their diapers as they are the only ones that don't give DS a rash, but they are VERY hard to cancel. I will say, if you check your email often and are too lazy to call and cancel as I am, they make it quite easy to continuously push off delivery dates and send you emails about a week before your order is set to ship so that you remember to do that. But that is a lot of maintenance.
