  • @babylonghorn16 I'm in SA too!! I see Dr. James at the Texas Fertility Specialists. She is so patient and very encouraging. I think she had some difficulties with pregnancy and now has twins lol.
I'm actually a little bummed. I go in for blood HCG test tomorrow and I took a home pregnancy and it was neg so I'm thinking it's not gonna work out this month. On to another cycle lol. =D
It's awesome to meet another Texan especially in the same city!!
  • @babylonghorn16 and @Ferrell2B We visited SA this summer, we loved the Riverwalk!! Such a nice place! We spent so much time there that we didn't even see anything else in the city lol
  • @Ferrell2B oh wow! How cool to find another person in San Antonio! I'm sorry you feel like this month didn't work. Did you do IUI or IVF? Hope your beta proves that HPT wrong!

@SanBL aw yay! The Riverwalk will definitely keep you busy! Next time you're in town you should visit the King William district. Has some beautiful historic homes with cool bars, shops, and art galleries scattered about. Glad you enjoyed your visit!!

@babylonghorn16 No, we are not on IUI or IVF yet. We are doing Femara and TI. This was our first cycle with anything, we did all natural for the last 2 years. lol Thank you for the positive thoughts! I hope I'm wrong too.

  • MrsMcMilkshakes  I am 38 and go to Pacific Northwest Fertility in Seattle.  It is literally 3 blocks away from the hospital where I work, so REALLY convenient for me!  I was sort of sent there in a daze when I was diagnosed with cancer and didn't specifically choose them, but I really like Dr Lorna Marshall, my primary RE.  She is awesome, and I wouldn't consider going to any of the other local clinics.  Also, at least a dozen people I know at work have gone with this same clinic for a variety of reasons (I'm the only one without a pregnancy yet) from a lesbian couple who went twice (IUI for each of them, 2 years apart), a woman with a gene translocation (twins with IVF/PGD), etc.  I'd highly recommend this clinic.
Me: Age 40  Husband: Age 41
Chemo killed my ovaries (along with a BRCA1 mutation, which causes DOR)
4/30/13 ER just prior to chemo: 8 embryos frozen at 2pn. 2 survived to blasts/1 PGS normal

    Super shocker +HPT 9/19
    Baby Alyce arrived 5/8/17

Went forward with donor eggs from my sister for baby #2
ER 4/24, 5 eggs fertilized/1 survived to blast and was chromosomally normal.

  • Hi all!! I'm 35. Born and raised in the Dallas, Texas area. For the last 5.5 years I've lived in Massachusetts. • Hi everyone, I'm from Melbourne, Australia! Ha... I may be the only one
  • Hi Everyone! I'm a native New Englander - grew up in CT, live and work in Boston. I'm also at Fertility Centers of New England (I saw another fellow FCNE patient a few pages earlier). I like it because I can drop in on my way to work to get my blood and ultrasound done, then go around the corner to the Thinking Cup for excellent coffee.
  • @PurplePumpernickel - I go to FCNE! and there's one other too! @LawDoll2014 does too. Which office is the Thinking Cup nearby? I usually get my bloodwork done at the Reading office and there's a Starbucks across the street that I stop at afterwards on my way to work...
  • @caseyw8784 Thinking Cup is by the one in Boston, on Boylston Street - it is one block over, on Newbury. Also great baked goods!

My friend went there too, and she'd alternate between Thinking Cup and Flour (near Back Bay Station).
  • @PurplePumpernickel - Ah, ok! I've only been to the Boylston office for actual meetings with Dr. Plante...then we have to leave quickly to DH and I can get to work! Maybe next time I'll take a side trip over to Thinking Cup. I LOVE Flour, but only have been to the Seaport and Cambridge locations...
  • @babylonghorn16 I also went to UT in Austin.  Undergrad and Law. Hook 'em!

@kyrgyzshan I'm originally from Fort Worth and spent 2 years in Boston. It was nice, but cold and far from my whole family, so I'm glad to be back in Texas.

I'm 31 and I live in south Texas near the coast.

  • @bridge-and-wall Fellow Texan and Longhorn?! Amazing! :) WELCOME and Hook 'em! I got my undergrad from McCombs. We were probably on campus at the same time! Do you go to a clinic by the coast, or do you travel to San Antonio? If SA, what office?

  • @bridge-and-wall I completely understand. I hope your journey doesn't last long! If you do end up wanting to see a doc in SA, I highly recommend Dr. Balthazar at RMA of Texas! Another woman on here traveled to SA and said she only drove up for major appointments. All blood work and monitoring was done at her local OB/GYN. Hope that helps! GL!

  • @babylonghorn16 Thanks for all the support and suggestion of a good place in SA. I forgot to mention before, I was in undergrad the same years as Vince Young. 03-06. It was a good time to be a Longhorn. B) I was in law school at one of the worst times to be a Longhorn. Had season tickets in 2010 and saw a lot of losses.  :'(
