Ikea Sniglar Crib?

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this specific model? We're on an extremely tight budget and so far everything I've read has been pretty positive (including the price). It would end up being fixed to the wall, mostly because I'm extremely paranoid about things falling over. I love the way it looks because it'll match the 'natural' modern theme we're aiming for for the nursery. Thanks in advance!

    I wanted that crib because it's inexpensive, real wood and I like the way it looks but when we went and looked my husband didn't think it seemed sturdy enough. I have friends that bought it though, their baby is 2 weeks old so she hasn't slept in it yet (she's sleeping in their room for now) but they were happy with how it seemed when they put it together. I'd say get it, like you said you could fix it to the wall so you don't worry about it falling over, and if you ended up hating it, could you return? Cribs can be so expensive! It's nice to have a more affordable option.

    Not sure about the Sniglar but we got the IKEA Gullivar and it was very sturdy and has been awesome. It was used for 2 1/2 years as a crib and toddler bed for a very rambunctious boy and is now back in crib form for this upcoming baby. It's still very sturdy. When we looked at it in the store I was worried about sturdiness but our crib is much sturdier than the floor model seemed. Keep in mind that the floor models take a lot of abuse compared to what your crib will take so they sometimes seem to be a little shaky or like they need tightening. I'm not sure about fixing it to the wall though, I've never heard about that for a crib before and it may not be necessary.

    We have the Sniglar changing table and it's been great through 4 years of use and abuse. I've heard great things about the Gulliver crib, but not heard as much about the Sniglar.

    We bought the sundvik and remember: the floor models kind of take a beating. Ours is super sturdy compared to the floor model, I'm sure the sniglar would be too.

    I just bought this but haven't set it up yet. It's cheap but so is all of my other ikea furniture and nobody has died in my house yet. I'm not worried.

    We just put our Sundvik crib together the other day and haven't had the chance to really test it yet, but so far all the Ikea furniture we've made has been really good and sturdy. I know there's a running joke in society about Ikea furniture not being dependable, but my experience has been entirely the opposite. I think you just have to make sure to follow the directions really well :smile:
