  • Mine never popped out with my first so I'm assuming it won't pop out with this one either. It does get shallow enough where I can give it a nice deep clean though so I'm looking forward to that  ;)

  • I haven't even thought to check it... ::runs to the restroom::
  • mine seems like it can go on forever in there and never changed a ton when I was pregnant with DS, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with twins!

  • DH is obsessed with my belly button status. He finds it hilarious that it might pop out, and he keeps checking to see if it might happen. (I'm no where close to this happening now - no idea if it ever will)
  • Mine is way more cavernous. I've put on a few pounds due to all the nauseous eating (need to eat every hour) and I carry my weight in my belly.

  • Mine never popped with my son, so doubting it will with this one, but you never know!
  • I have a major innie, so even though my stomach is getting bigger it looks cut in half, it's weird. I'm ready for it to pop out

  • Mines never popped out with my kids so I think I have a firm innie
  • I voted normal. Mine hasn't changed this pregnancy but it never quite went back after I was pregnant with DS.

  • i voted popped out but it's because DS messed up my belly button last year and it's slightly herniated  :|
  • I just lifted my shirt to check my belly button and saw a mark on my belly (from my pants) and totally thought it was a stretch mark! I definitely freaked for a minute since I didn't see it this morning! Haha
Anyways, belly button is still an innie for now! I'm with @longliveregina in that outies freak me out....so hopefully it stays that way!

This, lol! No changes so far this time. I haven't had mine pop with either kid so far, it just gets shallower. I've been able to leave my piercing in through both full pregnancies no problem. It's normally really deep and hard to clean so I can appreciate the chance to give it a good swabbing when I get big!

  • Mine went flat last time late in the game. It was so weird. I kept asking my mom if she could see any umbilical cord she may have left in there. Apparently she didn't find that funny.

  • Mine popped pretty early on last time.  I didn't mind it too much.... Till my mom told me if happened to her when she was pregnant with me she would have taped it down every day cuz its gross.
  • Mine popped out pretty early last time.  I HATED it, plus it was so sensitive so I would tape it down.  Fully prepared to start taping when this happens again!  I had diastasis both times and there's still a narrow gap in my abdominal wall, maybe half inch wide.
  • Mine never popped out with my first but got a little flatter toward the end. I'm overweight though, so there's that. I don't know what would have happened if I had a flat belly to begin with.

  • @Cbeanz what did you tape yours down with? I tried a band aid and you can still see it..maybe I have a bionic belly button?
  • bc of this thread when I got home and was changing....I took a long hard look at my belly button.....

OMG! I didn't know this was a thing and I'm officially freaking out. Gross!

ETA I'm an innie and have a weird thing with belly buttons in general. I can barely clean mine as an innie. If it pops out I will have to tape it and forget it.

  • ya unfortunately it's a thing.. mine never popped out with DS it stayed oddly flat and looked equally weird.. but he stretched my belly so much he ruined the button lol
  • @Cbeanz what did you tape yours down with? I tried a band aid and you can still see it..maybe I have a bionic belly button?
A vertical band aid. Stick one side above your belly button, then pull down tightly and secure the adhesive below. It took a while to perfect my technique and I'm super proud of it.

I'm happy to post a picture when the time comes, if anyone is interested :-)

  • @Cbeanz isn't it funny all of the things we are proud of/ excited by that you never in a million years would have thought was cool before hand

Mine was an innie (not popped or flat) for the entire duration of my 40w2d last time; assuming this will be the same.
