    16 weeks!

    When is your next appointment? 
    Sept. 16th. It'll just be the 4 week check up and a few days later, the a/s scan!
    Symptom changes? 
    Feeling better - mostly heartburn and I still have little to no appetite in the morning. It's not that I'm nauseous, just not hungry. I miss enjoying my breakfast. 
    Rant/Rave/Questions? 
    It's my son's 2nd birthday on Monday and I've been emotional this whole week. It's a little ridiculous, lol.
    GTKY: When not pregnant, what's your favorite drink? 
    Probably red wine. I always enjoyed a glass with dinner. I miss it!

    How big is baby? A peach, house mouse, or big chicken nugget

    When is your next appointment? Monday!

    Symptom changes? Sore throat and headaches, still tired though

    Rant/Rave/Questions? I posted a separate discussion on this....but is this sore throat thing normal? I plan on calling the Dr this morning anyhow...I don't think I have an infection. It started out like normal bad allergies but now this sore throat has been persistent, so I'm thinking maybe a cold?

    GTKY: When not pregnant, what's your favorite drink? A nice glass of cold sangria....yummmmmy

    @BlondePeanut I think you should see your doctor if it persists or you develop a fever. In my area, there's been an epidemic of strep throat lately. I hope it's just a passing cold and that you feel better soon!

    @concreteangell  Thank you!! There is alot going around here too....stomach bugs, respiratory infections, yuck. I am going to call her this morning and see what she recommends at this point. I haven't had a fever, but feel generally crummy.

    How far along are you? 14 weeks

    How big is baby? Beet or house mouse (which creeps me out because we recently moved and have mice we're trying to get rid of)

    When is your next appointment? Not till the end of September.  I had one Monday and finally got to hear the heartbeat!  So cool!

    Symptom changes? I have this weird pain in my butt cheek.  I don't think it's sciatica since it doesn't go down in to my leg but it usually comes after sitting for a long time and then hurts when I walk.  And I'm still exhausted.  I thought that would have let up by now!

    Rant/Rave/Questions? Can't think of anything right now

    Symptom changes? 
    No nausea and more energy, still having random barfing.

    My kid is off all next week. It's just her and I.

    Ginger ale and vodka. Yuuuuuuum.

    @Gingersnap that's probably one type of soda I've never mixed with vodka. Does sound yummy, especially with lots of ice! I'll have to try it in give or take 5 months time...

    @BlondePeanut I agree that I'd call your MD is it persists. Back in late June/early July I had an awful cough and my PCP passed me to my OB who said to take Tylenol and over the counter cough medicine.  It got so bad I wasn't sleeping and had a hard time breathing so I went back to my PCP and when she talked to the OB they put be on steroid inhalers and cough medicine w/ codeine.  It was the only thing that finally started to help.  I hope you feel better!

    @Gingersnap I've never thought to mix ginger ale and vodka but it does sounds good!

    They diagnosed me with a bad head cold, no infection, but said it should pass within a week. She said increase my fluids big time and rest, and I can take Tylenol, Tylenol PM, plain Sudafed, and Tylenol Cold and Sinus....but aside from that I have to let it pass. Luckily I haven't had a hard time breathing, it is just a miserable head cold with headache, sinus issues, cough, and sore throat. She did say though, if at any point I develop a fever to call her right away. I plan on trying to sleep all day tomorrow and try to combat this thing

    Dizziness. I don't think I have been drinking enough water.

    @BlondePeanut I'm sorry to hear that you are under the weather! Hopefully a combo of meds and lots of rest tomorrow will zap the head cold. If your sinuses causing you a lot of grief, I find a warm flannel/face cloth/compress across my nose helps to alleviate the pressure. It doesn't fix it, but I'll take 10 minutes of relief when it comes to sinuses!

    @BlondePeanut hopefully it passes quickly.  Something that also helped me because I was super stuffed up was a sinus rinse.  I was afraid to use the Netti pot but I got one where *TMI* you just squirt it up one nostril and it comes down the other.  It at least helped for some temporary relief.  It was like this:

    How far along are you?  almost 15 weeks

    How big is baby? a peach

    When is your next appointment?  Sept 1st.  I am excited to see my OB, this is my first appointment since I graduated. 

    Symptom changes?  I am feeling worse!   Headaches, having trouble eating and puking.   I think I am not drinking enough water and having trouble keeping my blood sugar balanced. 

    Rant/Rave/Questions?  My older kids are back in school, I need some of that second trimester energy to get some stuff done around here.   

    GTKY: When not pregnant, what's your favorite drink?  alcohol wise, I like Reisling and Moscato wines and this is my favorite season of beer coming up.   Christmas ale, pumpkin beers, etc.

    When is your next appointment?  I had an appointment on Tuesday of this week so my next won't be until September 20th. I'm most excited for my anatomy scan on October 5!

    Symptom changes?  My left boob is experiencing a sharp shooting pain which is new. My lower spine also feels like it needs to be cracked.

    Rant/Rave/Questions?  I am so gassy!! How can I stop this madness?

    I had an appetite today! Woo hoo! I managed to eat a whole breakfast after getting a blood test this morning.

    Hot Sex! Lol, it's a Bartender's Cocktail mix you can get pre-made at certain liquor stores. I found it FOREVER ago when I was living in Alberta, CAN. for a summer. Apparently it's super easy to come by at liquor stores in the states, but not so much up here. It's a bummer because that stuff basically just tasted like alcoholic chocolate milk.
