Someone please help - very scared

I am 5w3d today and I know the last thing I should be thinking about is the potential of miscarriage, but I am a nervous wreck.  I had a m/c before and I want this baby so crazy much.  This morning I woke up with sweat and less symptoms than before, which happened last time, so obviously I started to panic.  My first viability scan is next tuesday which may still be too early but I want to try anyhow.  Please help - what can I do to take my mind off being scared of m/c?  No bleeding, but I have the occasional mild cramps, mostly after eating.  Anything anyone could say, to offer some hope or encouragement, I would be immensely grateful.. please...

  • Deep breaths, hon. My boobs haven't been sore all the time, just off and on, especially if I get bumped. I would take the no bleeding as a good sign. As for the mild cramps, I have had those off and on as well. Waking up with sweat could mean you had too much on you while in bed and just overheated. If you're really worried, call your doctor. Don't forget, too, that all pregnancies are different. Prayers your way.

  • PGAL is no joke. It is a hard thing to deal with. Pregnancy symptoms come and go. I get really crampy a lot still and I am 5+5. Cramps are part of your uterus growing to help your baby grow too.

Take it a day at a time. Today you are pregnant.
    This was really nice.

  • I know it's so hard. : ( I agree with the 'try to enjoy each day you are pregnant' philosophy, you know, if you see something baby-related and cute, go ahead and bookmark it, make baby plans etc. I would (personally) rather enjoy these things and then miscarry, than wait until a certain number weeks to allow myself a mindset of contentment.

  • I feel for you so much and hope you find joy in each moment.
But I want to comment on what a sweet community we have so far. I appreciate how members are so gentle while pointing posters in the right direction.  The last board I was on was so harsh and cruel. I really hope we keep this up when our moods go crazy! So far loving everyone here!!!:)
  • @danibanani16 thanks for posting. I felt horrible this weekend but today and yesterday have felt pretty normal. Thanks for the reassurance.
