Re: Fitness and Healthy Eating Checkin 8/22/16
Eat as much real food as possible, and start doing some prenatal yoga.
2. How did you do with any goals you had for last week?
I really haven't done much other than keep food down the last two months. Now I'm feeling a bit better, I want to start getting back on track!
3. Questions? Concerns? Thoughts?
I'm just dreading starting over with the exercise. We had started with a personal trainer for a few months pre-BFP and were doing well. Now I feel like I've lost it all!
4. GTKY: What is fall like where you are? What are your favorite things about it?
We don't really have Fall in Florida. It's a shame, because I love Fall! Every year if we can, we try to head up to North Carolina or Tennessee to see the leaves change, or a little later we try to catch snow.
2. How did you do with any goals you had for last week? No exercise other than gardening. I did cook a lot more than I had been... It was refreshing.
3. Questions? Concerns? Thoughts? I didn't think I had that much pride in my CrossFit skills until I started struggling so much. It's been part of the reason I've been avoiding class and it's not a good excuse. Going and lifting 35 lbs is better than laying in bed doing nothing, even if I used to do that same exercise at 55 lbs. I need to realize that I'm going to lose all of my progress if I give up completely for the next six months!
4. GTKY: What is fall like where you are? What are your favorite things about it? Fall is beautiful in PA. The days are still pretty warm but the nights start to cool down. And, the leaves are usually beautiful. I love to sleep with the windows open and take long walks with the dogs (one at a time b/c they are crazy, lol).
2. I ran one day last week and then nothing else. My energy has been all over the place.
3. It seems like this baby doesn't want me to workout. Last week after I ran the next day I had awful abdominal pains. I did some weights this morning and have felt like crap ever since and am currently back in the bed. I want to listen to my body and take it easy but i also want to stay as active as possible.
4. Fall in NYC is amazing and my favorite time of year in the city. It hard to describe but something. about it feels magical

2. I did a bad job working out this week. Evenings were so busy getting stuff ready to go away for BFF's wedding. I'll get back on the horse this week. Eating was pretty good, except for the wedding itself where I ate wayyyy too much.
3. I'm worried about getting a weight gain lecture at my appointment tomorrow. I know I've eaten well, but I've also eaten a lot and have really reduced my exercise level from pre-BFP. I feel like I'm showing a ton for a 16 week FTM, and just anxious about tomorrow.
4. I love fall in New England! Cider, pumpkins, fall beers (usually), corn mazes, Halloween, I'm just all about the whole thing.
2. How did you do with any goals you had for last week? Not awesome. I missed my lunch workout class because I had mandatory training. But I was very mindful of what I was eating.
3. Questions? Concerns? Thoughts? I hate that I can't workout like I used to. Because of the extra work my heart is doing to pump more blood, I get tired way faster.
4. GTKY: What is fall like where you are? What are your favorite things about it? @Xstatic3333 Fellow New Englander! I love everything you said: Cider, beer, mazes, haunted houses, Halloween, changing leaves, crisp air, bonfires , SPOOKY THINGS
1. What are your fitness and eating goals for this week? Complete my cheesy Crunch Fitness workout video two times and try a new hiking trail with my elderly dog. I also want to snack on veggies more, which means pre-cutting veggies and making a big batch of hummus.
2. How did you do with any goals you had for last week? Erm. No comment.
3. Questions? Concerns? Thoughts? I'm struggling a bit with what I feel comfortable doing exercise-wise. I was active pre-BFP, but now I question everything I do. For example, I've played competitive volleyball for a long time, my body knows what's up. Training just started a couple of weeks ago (I coach), and I'm kind of terrified of even simply peppering or light passing. I have the OK to play, but I come away hyper-sensitive to any twinges or aches. And it's not just volleyball, it's lower intensity stuff, too. I need to get out of my head. There was a woman who plays in the same senior women's league as me who played until she was, like, 7 months pregnant and came back three weeks post-partum at the most. That's not quite for me, but there has to be a happy medium!
4. GTKY: What is fall like where you are? What are your favorite things about it? I'm practically a New Englander, too @Xstatic3333 and @jlellis603! I'm in the Maritimes, but my H's family is in NB/Maine. So your lists apply here, as well! My addition is that it is the start of uni rugby season - I'm excited to see all my girls.
I'm about to head off for my first run since my ten mile race at Week 4. Wish me luck everyone! Just going to try to job a mile or so.
Edit: It felt so good to jog again! But-this was weird-it was like I could "feel" my uterus as I went along. Not in a bad way, but super strange!
1. What are your fitness and eating goals for this week? Eat cleaner. Fruits and veggies, no sugary crap!
2. How did you do with any goals you had for last week? I worked out a few times and felt pretty good.
3. Questions? Concerns? Thoughts? I am trying to get back into working out but my options are limited, it's too hot and buggy where I live to run so I mostly have to do workout videos. If anyone has any good recommendations... Im all ears.
4. GTKY: What is fall like where you are? What are your favorite things about it? This is only the second time experiencing fall here so if I remember correctly, it was hot and buggy for the first half and then very nice later on. Still warm though. I love fall and firmly believe October is the best month of the year... Also my birthday month.
