This is for those of us diagnosed with any type of condition that makes our pregnancy high-risk so that we can find support and companionship during this time! Feel free to comment at any point in the week and treat this as an on-going discussion.
1. Why are you high-risk?
2. How far along are you?
3. What are you doing for treatment?
4. How are you doing? R/R?
5. GTKY: Because I'm craving ice cream... If you could only have one cream flavor for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I need help coming up with GTKY questions that y'all want me to ask, lol
Re: High Risk Check In 8/22
2. How far along are you? 12 weeks we think. I'll be going for a dating US soon because I haven't had a period since May 2015.
3. What are you doing for treatment? I'll be seeing a perinatologist and doing the Panorama test.
4. How are you doing? R/R? I have a 6 month old and am finishing my bachelor's degree while planning my wedding next month so I'm not aware of this R/R you speak of.
5. GTKY: Because I'm craving ice cream... If you could only have one cream flavor for the rest of your life, what would it be? Vanilla because you can always add stuff to it to change the flavor.
2. How far along are you? 9 weeks 5 days
3. What are you doing for treatment? I had my first appointment with high-risk on Thursday. I decided then and there to have them handle the entire pregnancy. They just 'get me' and my PGAL brain. The doctor I met was great and justified all of my concerns. She said I can have quick ultrasound every visit! I go back on September 1st.
4. How are you doing? R/R? Pretty good. Going to try to get into more of an exercise routine. It seems to be the best thing for my nerves and I always sleep better at night too.
5. GTKY: Because I'm craving ice cream... If you could only have one cream flavor for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mint chocolate chip

4. How are you doing? R/R? This week has been really difficult with work... Multiple days that are 12+ hours long and some of them are outside most of the day (I'm in the south, so the heat and humidity is astronomically high). My cardiac surgeon set my pregnancy goal at 140 bpm or lower, and this week that has been REALLY hard. Just standing outside this week, my heart rate was 160 bpm on average
5. GTKY: Because I'm craving ice cream... If you could only have one cream flavor for the rest of your life, what would it be? Probably oreo. I seriously love oreo ice cream.

3. What are you doing for treatment? just started me on low-dose aspirin regimen to help prevent any pre-e episodes, lots of bloodwork, and frequent scans!
4. How are you doing? R/R? ok, feeling pretty run down/tired, started swelling today, so I'll be calling my nurse later to make sure it's all ok
5. GTKY: Because I'm craving ice cream... If you could only have one cream flavor for the rest of your life, what would it be? hmm that's hard because a) i love ice cream and b) i'm not craving it lately LOL.... but if i had to choose- probably rocky road, chocolatey almondy marshmellowy goodness
