Today we are having our sons 10th birthday party!! We basically only see the family for holidays and birthdays, maybe 3 other times a year someone will invite us over or vice versa. I've been cleaning= not fun or relaxing, but cake +ice cream = bliss!
Today I'm being a lazy bum because tonight we're going to DH's cousin's to watch UFC 201. Idk how I'm going to make it when my usual bedtime is 8:30 and I don't think the main card even starts by then...
Tomorrow hopefully i can be productive and start packing for our move in September!

I have already taken two naps today and am currently eating lunch #1 and watching women's volleyball. H's birthday is Monday, and I need to wrap his presents later today. Tomorrow we drive into the city for his softball game, and I'm bringing bday treats for his team. There will probably be more napping.

We didn't plan it, but I've been feeling shockingly good today so we went and started our first baby registry after breakfast! It is really starting to feel real, now that we're moving into the planning phase.

You totally need other people to buy you the aiden and anis burp cloth / bib combo things.
@PerraSucia thanks for the tip! We didn't put any linens/clothing things yet, but we are going to go back in a few weeks when we find out the sex. I will make sure those go on the list!!
We live in the middle of no where and my husband is kind of a hermit, so this morning when he suggested we go to the bigger city near us for lunch and a little home improvement shopping (new front door and hardware for all our exterior doors) I immediately got my booty ready! Had a nice lunch, DD loves restaurants so she had fun, then she toddled and I strolled around Lowe's while H looked for door stuff. No fights, no toddler tantrums, she even took a nap on the way home! Now DD, the dogs and I are enjoying time outside while H goes grocery shopping
Letting DD watch entirely too much tv while we longe around in our pajamas waiting for H to wake up. He works overnights. He leaves for two weeks on Monday so his call what he wants to do.
Didn't feel up to talking about this with yall yesterday, but I had a bit of a rough day. Crippling acid reflux (I'm no stranger to acid reflux - this was not your normal heartburn) that was causing so much pain that my OB nurse wanted me to go to the ER. I'm much better today, although still feeling pretty tender in the abdomen.
This morning, Husband took me to the farmer's market, where we feasted on freshly-baked doughnuts (obviously so good for the stomach) and bought yummy treats to make for dinner tonight and tomorrow. Then we went and got fancy biscuits for second breakfast, and now we're enjoying a relaxing afternoon at home
I'm loving all the super fun plans for the weekend! DH is at a conference all weekend so I'm up to my own devices. This evening I am going to a cowboy cookout with my in laws at their neighbors house, so that will be fun! Church tomorrow and probably chores around the house. I need to return my Snoogle at some point this weekend because it was a major flop.
I'm glad you're feeling better @NiceyMeany! Sounds like that was awful.
I have acid reflux issues on the daily but never to that extent. Tums is starting to be inaffective and so I'll probably have to call in for some Zantac this week.

I'm reading all your weekend plans and seething with envy. I have to spend the weekend prepping for my thesis defence. It's so hot here, and my academic process usually involves wine (for the writing, not the editing process, obv.). I may be in trouble here...
My BFF is visiting from studying abroad so we are going to hangout. Not sure what we are gonna do yet. This is the first time she's home while I'm pregnant and our shenanigans usually involved alcohol so, I guess we've got to get creative.
@NiceyMeany I'm glad you're doing better today! That sounds miserable. Does your farmers market have a lumpia stand? The one near us does and now you've got me wanting lumpia.... also not good for reflux!
@poetryandoceans Sorry you're stuck working this weekend! Are you close to finishing your thesis?
@WinchesterGirl Thankfully, the thesis itself is already done; you have to have it finished before they'll even schedule your defence. Right now I'm prepping for the oral. Besides writing the presentation (which I thiiiiink I just finished?) that mainly consists of reminding myself what the hell I wrote in the thesis and and revisiting all my source materials so I can talk about it if someone asks me a question about it. Lots of trying to anticipate questions and figuring out how I'd answer them. There's only so much prep you can do before your eyes go square...
@NiceyMeany are you on anything? Nexium isn't considered safe but my doctor switched me to the rx strength Prilosec. I don't get heartburn though I have an esophageal stricture.
@niceymeany I had to be on Rx strength stuff my first round, my insurance covered it but it would have cost me $100 for a 90 day supply but it's freaking AMAZING! I will get the name when I get home.
With th my first pregnancy I was taking a OTC one and still popping tums all day. It was bad.
I I also had heartburn often before baby but rarely have it after.
@PerraSucia the OB nurse told me to get Zantac 75 and it seems to have worked! But down the line if I keep having issues, I'll ask for a prescription. I've taken Prilosec for a long time and it's always worked, but the Zantac was good enough for this instance.
We had a surprise guest on Friday night (at least the house was clean-ish) so today I took a 4 hour nap! also, Jake the Dog turned 1 today and we're signing him up for classes to get ready for baby
Yesterday H took DS out for a guys day so at DD's request for our girls day, we went to 3 different parks in this area and out to eat at a little restaurant with my mom. I was really proud of her for behaving nicely while we were there. When we got home, just spent the rest of the day outside with them and they went swimming in the little pool. Today, I have to finish filling out a few applications for apartments that might be opening up soon. H is working all day so I'll be taking the kids to a birthday party for a friend of DS around noon.
Yesterday was a team building and training day for my LuLaRoe team. It was surprisingly nice to put on a dress and do full hair and make-up. I actually felt happy when I looked in the mirror (it's been touch and go with my rounding face, which is covered with acne). But, by time I got back home at 6 p.m., I was ready to crash!
Today, six of us have a multi-consultant sale; so, I actually had to do a bunch of work last night and I'm paying for it this morning. My back is in rough shape and my head is pounding. But, I know I have to push through the next 12 hours! Then, I'll just take it easy at work all week
