A ferret - funny story, I used to have a ferret named Ferret Fawcett.
Upcoming appointments?
3 this week alone! Monday is our 3D retake, Tuesday is a normal 2 week appointment, and Wednesday I'm supposed to go to the nutritionist again but I'm going to see if I can just email them instead of taking a half day off work.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Our maternity photos are Sunday evening and I STILL haven't gone shopping for our outfits. I'm usually pretty good about being on top of this type of thing, but not this time...photographer fail!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Heartburn, but I'm learning what to avoid so that doesn't happen. I'm out of breath a lot just doing simple things, and I've been extra swollen. At night I started wrapping my feet and cankles with an ace bandage to reduce the swelling and that has seemed to help a little.

Besides meeting Bean, maternity leave. I know it's going to be a lot of sleep deprivation and craziness to begin with, but I'm really looking forward to having the holidays off and actually enjoying them. I've worked retail most of my life (I only entered the banking world about a year and a half ago), so holidays have always seemed rushed and centered around the customers rather than family. I'm excited to have family come to our home this year to celebrate.

The holidays for sure. And making my mom a grandmother- it's exciting how excited she is
baby is the size of a squash. (I know that watermelon is the measure for 40 weeks. I picked up a watermelon in the store yesterday and freaked out at the size. Newborn diapers look tiny. Watermelons are huge!)
just had an OB appt. and in a few weeks I'll have another growth scan to make sure she's not falling behind.
rants. Baby shower at my house today. Hope it goes well. Stressed from bearing most of the prep burden. Thank goodness my mom is visiting and saved my sanity.
Symptoms. Still emotional/short tempered. I want what I want and I want it now. I have no patience for DH and his casual, I'll get it done attitude when it comes to anything. I freaked out because he wants to set the tables up for te shower at 10 am and not 9am. (I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but In my defense he is horrible at time management and I want him to not be running around at the last minute so he can relax and have fun). I need a chill pill literally.
Ohysically I feel pretty great, considering.
Looking forward to bonding with baby. Showing her how life works. And getting away from work to focus on family.

My daughter is starting Kindergarten on Monday and my hormones are making me 10x more emotional about it. That's on top of how emotional I would be anyway.

I'm back to enjoying eggs in the morning and I've been eating cereal a couple of times a day.

Upcoming appointments? Thursday (and every week for the rest of the pregnancy), I'll have an NST, a BPP and an appointment with the OBGYN (though not mine because he's not available that day). My whole afternoon is gone.
Rants/Raves/Questions? We did our refresher hospital tour yesterday and we're packing the hospital bag today. We don't have a doctor for the baby yet because our family doctor moved away. And my husband just decided he didn't like the color we were painting the nursery (after I slowly pained about half of it around toddler nap times) so now we need to pick out a new color. I feel so behind this time and totally unprepared.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I want veggie burgers and french fries. All the time. Heartburn is moderate but bearable most of the time (as long as I don't eat too close to bed time). But the constipation has started again and that is no fun.
GTKY: What are you really looking forward to once your baby has arrived? (Stolen from Monday) There's nothing better than lying in bed with a tiny baby on your chest. I'm looking forward to some skin-to-skin with this little guy.

Upcoming appointments? This coming Friday for my first twice monthly appointment and a 3D ultrasound
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: I'm supposed to take some of my sick leave/annual leave for Friday's appointment's but my principal is amazing and is letting me save those hours for my maternity leave. Rant: Pain in my hips is making sleep horrible and I've finally just decided that if I wake up too much at night I'm just moving to the couch (where I can actually get into a position for a few hours of solid sleep).

Upcoming appointments? In a week and a half I have my last monthly ultrasound to see if the placenta previa has moved at all (I've been on restrictions since 12 weeks). The following day I meet with my Dr. for my bi-weekly appointment to discuss if I will need to schedule a c-section for 37 weeks....
Rants/Raves/Questions? Really hoping for a miracle and no c-section needed. Honestly, I don't care about the surgery at all, I completely trust my doctors. I just don't want to have a longer recovery and an extra night away from my 2 year old.
