Ultrasound gel

Hi guys I'm new to this forum,  I had just this past wed went into the ob and had a scan done but ended up having to do one vaginally due to the fact we r not as far along as presumed 5 weeks... anyway my question is has anyone else become sore down there afterwards like someone rubbed you raw inside? Could I be allergic to the gel they used or what else could it be?

    For vaginal ultrasound, they use regular lube, usually KY. I don't know what could have irritated you, other than the cover they put on the transducer, which to me, always looked like a regular condom. Possibly a latex one? I don't know. Maybe call them and ask if they use latex.
