I'm normally excited for Friday nights. Not tonigh though. I'm currently on the road to meet FIL, SMIL, Dh's aunt and uncle, and his couson for dinner. I don't feel like hearing another Atkins Diet Speech tonight.
No super exciting plans this weekend. DH is working 12's today/tom. Sunday will be family fun day, but it's supposed to rain/storm all weekend.... will have to come up with fun indoor stuff. We'll do some cooking and crafts, etc. I'm hoping to do a Hobby Lobby run to check out their 40% fall decor tomorrow!
Going to try to head to my company's annual picnic tomorrow. SO works all weekend but has the evenings off so I'm looking forward to snuggling up with him and watching some tv.
Date with dh tonight thai and a play. We have friends staying with us this weekend with a 2 year old and we are swapping babysitting nights. There's also an art festival , my last sunrise yoga, and hanging with said friends
Helping friends move tomorrow after DH gets off from work (I'm forbidden from doing anything, but I can help direct). Then hanging out afterwards. Also need to get my nails redone because the gel manicure didn't last a week! Luckily I've been going to this place since I was in high school so they're fixing it no charge.
Sunday my great aunt is in town with her husband and I haven't seen her in almost 3 years. She hasn't met DH yet so very excited to see her. She's so excited about the baby!

Staying inside my house in the air conditioning, netflixing with my dogs, and avoiding the hellish heat that has overtaken the PNW -_- Seriously though....three days in a row of 100 degree heat?! It was already 77 on my way to the DR at 7:30am...last night on the way home my car thermometer said 106.
Going out to eat for my birthday tonight. I never imagined my 30th birthday I'd be picking dinner based on dessert lists instead of wine menus, but that's life now!
Tomorrow is my nieces party, and after that we're going to go clean our old rental house out. Hopefully the landlords, who live next door, will be around so we can just turn in the keys and be done.
And lastly at some point this weekend we'd like to go furniture shopping. We need a new kitchen table, dresser for the nursery, and a guest bed.
Sleeping as much as possible. We got back from vacation Wednesday - it was a lot of fun but kind of tiring to be on the road. Sunday I'm co-hosting a baby shower for a friend, hoping it doesn't end up being a ton of prep.
Tonight there is a work BBQ for DH's job. Tomorrow there is a BBQ that DH's old business client is throwing. After that we are having a few friends over for a board game night (which I am super excited about! I love board games!!) Sunday I have prenatal swimming and I need to grade papers before Monday.
Saturday is busy. We're going to a kids clothes sale at a nearby church, then to breakfast. Then to ikea and meeting a craigslist person to get a rock n play. We also need to pick up a chest we bought at a furniture store. Then we're going to the Orioles game that night.
Sunday I need to remove the wallpaper from our nursery.....

Same. I made the mistake of going to the Seattle aquarium on Friday, I was pooped. I just had 2 nephews stay with us all week, so I've had 4 kids all week. My kids are pooped and I'm exhausted from everyday excursions! This weekend I'm not doing anything strenuous. Going through tubs of baby stuff to keep/give away. We have 2 DDs, and a DS on the way. So we can get rid of quite a bit. We have AC at home, and that is where I'll be!!!
Saturday morning we have to take my car to get the breaks done and have the oil changed. My step nephew's birthday party and his mom's birthday party are in the afternoon and evening so it should be a fun day.
Sunday we need to touch up the paint in the nursery and my Dad is suppose to come help Dh bring L's dresser upstairs. I need to read student surveys and give feedback for Monday and figure out my plan for social contract building for school on Wednesday. Other than that I just need to rest and try and be ready for next week.

Had childbirth prep class last night and all day today. We're also invited to a friend's 30th birthday party that we are going to try to stop by after class today. No plans for tomorrow, probably just catching up on things around the house and possibly putting the crib together since it was delivered on Thursday. I have to work next weekend so I want to be able to get some things done. I also need to get my butt moving on finishing my CE credits before the end of September! Usually I'm done early, but I've had a lot of other things going on this time and I just haven't made it a priority.
today is a "recovery" day for me for putting in such long hours yesterday. especially since i seem to have caught another bug, I've been coughing and my throat hurts just got over sinus infection so i'm not happy that it's starting again. at some point this morning i have to go buy a dance uniform for DD1, she's going to try a combined ballet/tap/jazz class this year and it starts next week. also my dad is stopping by since he missed DD1's birthday a couple weeks ago. otherwise just doing stuff around the house, continuing to get the bedrooms cleaned and organized so we can get set for baby!
Ugh I'm at an all day continuing education class today an hour south of my home. I'm close to where my ILs live and originally chose this event rather than a closer one on a weekday so we could visit. But they randomly decided to leave on a road trip on Monday, despite knowing these plans. I'm just a little peeved...
And when I get home we're supposed to go to a friend's birthday party. I'm really not interested. I need some hermit time this weekend, but it doesn't look too likely.
I just wanted to let everyone know that if you don't hear from me tomorrow or Monday to please send help. H fell ill yesterday and I believe it's some sort of serious condition we'll need to alert the NIH to. Perhaps swine flu, avian flu, or some kind of eradicated disease because according to his overreaction to the common cold, we may be dealing with something really serious.
I'm going to kill him. We alternate mornings on the weekend since DS gets up before dawn and he turned on the TV and slept on the couch while DS tore up the house. No fever, no infection... Just a cold. Really?
Vegan waffles (banana, almond milk, waffle/pancake mix or ground up oatmeal) is our Saturday staple and DH is making those up right now. Today is our grocery run day so I got up this morning and made a meal plan and a grocery list. We love to go to all the stores and try Saturday samples, and we'll probably hit up the Jerusalem grill today for lunch which excites me (My life is riveting, I am aware). Hopefully we'll get all the things done today and we can go straight home from church tomorrow and do house stuff. I've finally set out pictures to hang and I want to get that faucet thing fixed so we can get all the things that live under the sink back under the sink. FX. Hoping for a chill weekend, but my husband's on call (he works in tech support) so that's always makes weekends like this a toss up.
Today I need to get off the couch and get dressed. Then I'll take DS for brunch and to get his back to school haircut. Then he has a dress rehearsal for the church musical. Not sure what we'll do after that.
Tomorrow is the church musical in the morning, then regular services. After that I must go into work. Happy weekend all!
Now that I've survived dinner last night, it's full on party planning mode. My daughter's 6th birthday party is next Sunday, and I haven't started anything for it. She has picked out her theme and cake though. Now, just to get everything. We'll hit up the pool tonight, and tomorrow is church and more party planning.
@DiFazette ugh...sorry for you, and hope he gets over his life-threatening illness soon for your sake. Men are ridiculous. Kid you not, my husband came to me a couple of weeks ago saying he was out of commission for the day because his ear hurt. By the end of the day, he was convinced he had a tumor.
No exciting plans here for the rest of this weekend, which I'm actually excited about. DH and I spent yesterday and today working on installing flooring upstairs, so now I am tired and sore. He's going out for an overdue guy's night tonight, and my grand plan is to sit on the couch with Chinese foods, my recorded shows, and the pups.
@DiFazette last week DH came to me saying he was having extremely sharp stomach pain and he made a doctor appointment. I asked if he was sure it wasn't gas...he said no way it's gas.
The doctor pushed on his belly a few times, he farted, and ta-da: pain gone. But yeah, no way it was gas......
Friday night, just went out for supper with DH and came home to watch the Olympics that we DVR'd. It's easier to catch up on events we actually want to see, and usually catch up most nights we have done this.
Saturday - I went to a friends lake place for the day. It was pretty cool in temps, so a few others who were also there just sat inside and chatted... was nice to catch up!
Today - laundry, some small cleaning. Not much. I *may* workout, but we'll see.
