her gums have been bleeding for about 5 days. in the morning i find spots of blood from where she is sleeping. we brush her teeth at night and in the morning. my pedi said not to take her to a dentist until she is three. i will call the pedi tomorrow, but any idea why her front gums are bleeding so much?
Re: Can you diagnose my kid too?
Is she anemic??
Make sure you're using a soft toothbrush. ??
eating lemons? ?Jk I LOVE your siggy
does she take a paci or anything at night that she could be chewing on? ?Poor thing! ?
I don't think it would be rotting her gums, I was thinking more along the lines of the plastic part rubbing them and irritating them. ?Hmm. ?It's not like you can take the paci from her for a couple of days and see, but if it's ONLY happening at night and that's the only time they are bleeding...
Maybe try a different paci (easier said than done, I'm sure! ?my kids were nuts about what kind they took)?
MH is a pediatric dentist, and the current reccomendation is that kids are seen by a dentist pretty soon after their 1st birthday. MH is in the OR about once a week with 3 and 4 year olds who come in for the first time with so many cavities and problems that they need to be put under GA to get all the work done. I would call a pediatric dentist and bring her in ASAP so she can get used to going and they can take a look and make sure everything is OK with her gums. Poor thing, hopefully it is nothing!
