Nervous Between Appointments!

Any other ladies nervous between appointments? I go in tomorrow morning for my second appointment at 15 weeks and I'm super worried. Anyone else experiencing this? I've been feeling great lately and haven't had any pregnancy symptoms. No more sore boobs, fatigue, nausea, it's great but now I'm a little freaked out about a missed miscarriage.

Re: Nervous Between Appointments!

  • I wasn't really nervous leading up to my appointment at 14 weeks, but once I got there I suddenly became very nervous. It took them a while to find the heartbeat and that sent me into full panic mode. But all was well. Try no to stress. I think it's normal, but the odds are in your favor.

Nervousness is always understandable, but keep in mind this is around the time those symptoms can start easing up. So way more likely than a missed miscarriage is that you are now in your second trimester and starting to feel that boost. Good luck tomorrow....I'm sure things will be great!

  • I feel exactly the same! I'm super worried because I feel good lately. My 16 week appointment is Friday morning and I'm really anxious about it already. It doesn't help that last fall I had a missed miscarriage and found out at my 12 week appointment. But now that we're in the second trimester I'm trying to be positive and just keep telling myself everything is okay. I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow!
  • I've felt the same way. I have an appointment tomorrow and my last one was 4 weeks ago. I feel like something terrible is wrong, my m/s has been very very friendly the past few days. I cannot wait for tomorrow afternoon.

  • @Gingersnap Freudian slip?! Autocorrcet is the best.
Rainbow baby Dean is due 2/17/17!
  • I had a missed miscarriage too, so I totally hear ya! I bought a Doppler from Amazon, it's by Wusic. Totally recommend it, it's been super reassuring to me. I am 13 weeks today and I have been able to hear it for about a week and a half!
  • Totally understand! That was a question I asked at my last appointment "How do I stay calm between appointments?" :)

Nah, nobody cute in my family.
    Eeeeeewwwww. Gross.
  • I totally understand. I am so nervous! I have my apt next Monday (will be 12+5) to get panorama results and hear the heartbeat! I am so afraid that they won't be able to find the heartbeat, it's awful! ( I have had a miscarriage in the past so that doesn't help at all) FX everyone's appts go smooth and all pregnancies are healthy and happy :)

  • Thanks for the support, ladies! I had a great Appt yesterday. My midwife even left the doppler there for a minute so we could just listen and be happy. I hope for happy and healthy appointments for all of you!!
  • I totally get it. Especially early on when the appts are spaced out...you want to see, hear, etc the baby and hear "yes, everything looks great"...at least I do for that reassurance. Healthy pregnancy wishes for all!
  • I am not nervous between appts. In fact I am totally fine up until I lay down on the chair for the ultrasound. Then I freak out. I mean I started crying like uncontrollably both times right before it started! The techs must think I'm crazy.  I wonder if I'll be 3/3 next month....

That's me too! Like exactly every detail.

@Eveinshock - LOL'ing because at my last appointment, when I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time, I started sobbing to the point where my stomach was heaving up and down and the PA had to stop using the Doppler (b/c there was no way she could find the heartbeat again with all of that going on).  I can't even fathom what my reaction will be to seeing the little nugget.  Just thinking about it, I tear up.

    Stuck in the box:
Soooo I cried at my first ultrasound too and then laughed at myself for crying. This was a transvaginal u/s so go ahead and picture that scenario. lol!
  • @mommabean I cried at my first transvaginal u/s too, it was so overwhelming! Having had a previous mc, I was preparing for the worst, so I totally lost it when the little potato was perfectly fine!

  • @scifichick09 You know, that room is where I found out about mmc at 11 weeks this past new years eve. So I think that's obviously why all the scary feelings and emotions come back when I'm there.
  • I also say a doppler is worth it. I have used it every day since 9 weeks. I used it with my son until I started feeling movements. At this point It takes me like 10 seconds to find the heartbeat. Earlier on it took me longer. Just once a day is all I need. Soon we will be feeling movements.
