Hey ladies! I'm just about 10 weeks and I'm already experiencing RLP. I didn't have known those early with my 1st pregnancy. Any other ladies experiencing the same?
Oh yes - One of the more pain in the butt symptoms!

Yep! I think that's what it is anyway. Feels like a growing pain. None of them compare to one that I had around 7 weeks though. I got up to pee in the middle of the night, sat on the toilet, and wham! Literally felt like I was doing an exorcist contortion and I was sitting still! This thought ran through my head- "If it happens for 5 more seconds, I'm getting DH up and we're going to the hospital. 5... 4... 3.."
Ladies, would you mind describing what your RLP feels like? I've had some pains recently that are different from my typical cramping feeling, and I'm wondering if my body is crazy or if it's RLP. In particular, last night I moved really quick (sat up from laying down) and I had super sharp (surprisingly painful) sensation on my lower right pelvic/hip region. Either I'm falling apart in my 20's, or this is pregnancy related.
ETA: This is the furthest I've gotten in pregnancy, so I have never experience RLP. I'm a newb in this department.

@BelcherEars - For me, it is usually when I laugh, cough, move, or sneeze suddenly. Then it feels like something is stabbing me right by my hip bone. Really freaked my husband out the first few times!

Yes! Especially when I sneeze! Really freaks out the husband when it happens. I have been using KT tape here and there. It offers a little more support but still doesn't help that 'stabbing' pain.
That's what it feels like to me! Last night I woke myself up twice when I rolled over and had a weird sharp pain very low down on one side. That sort of thing has been happening a lot. This is my first pregnancy and every little pang makes me nervous, so I feel you.
Pretty much anything in your pelvic region that hurts is going to be related to RLP by your OB. "It feels like I'm being ripped in half for a few seconds when I stand up/sneeze/cough/sit down/blow my nose/turn my head to the left." Doc:"It's RLP"
Mine is always way to the side near to my hip. The RLP I had on Tuesday was a constant dull ache that lasted about 5 hours. It didn't go away until I applied some heat to the area.
@anonellis I had the exact same thing happen to me when rolling over in bed the other night! FTM so I didn't know what it was and totally freaked! Glad I read this thread today!
I had really sharp pains in my belly yesterday afternoon that turned into mild cramping all evening. FTM here and I was FREAKING out! I went to my doctor this morning for a sonogram and everything looks perfectly fine. He said that it is probably just growing pains and reassured me that unless there is bleeding, no reason to stress myself out. I have a small frame, so poor baby doesn't have a big womb to grow in and my body is really feeling it trying to accommodate!

Thank you for all these responses, ladies! I've been experiencing this the last few days (that sneeze-stab pain SUCKS) and feel much better knowing that it's pretty standard.

@drillsergeantcat thank you. Had no clue what it was....just know its painful and makes me want to lay still all day.
Does it feel achy? Like menstrual cramps?
Mine do. Like very mild menstrual cramps. I was a little worried at first but then I figured if I'm entering the growth phase (I'm 12 weeks today by LMP) then its probably my uterus expanding or something. I had a similar feeling a couple of weeks ago but more in the front than the sides like now. Nice to have a name for it!
@MamaD233@DrillSergeantCat I do get the RLP when I stand up fast or sneeze but now for the past 24 hours I've had dull achy pain in my uterus. That's normal, right?
@MamaD233@nicklesb this is most likely just your uterus expanding to accommodate new baby. Definitely bring it up with your doctor at your next visit, but it's likely normal. I had achy cramps almost my entire pregnancy last time and I anticipate this one to be worse since it's my second in a year.
@DrillSergeantCat 2nd in a year!! May you be blessed with an easy pregnancy!!
Yeah. Harrison was born Feb 15, 2016 and this one is due around the same time. I was breastfeeding and my BC almost immediately dipped my supply so I quit it and we weren't careful so this one is due around the end of Feb, beginning of March (we think, I'm still waiting for an US).
