hi all! I hope you don't mind me visiting your board. I am hoping to join the April board soon. I was also a member of the April '14 board which was a great support with my first. I got a bfp last Thursday. I've had the sore boobs and exhaustion, but I'm also a teacher at the beginning of the school year. Today I started bleeding. Started with light spotting and then got heavier... I called my dr. And she is seeing me in the morning. It seems to have lightened now, but it was similar to a period for about an hour when I wiped. Did anyone have a similar experience?i spotted w my first around 8 weeks, but it was not red. Looking for any advice... Sorry to join your board without a March due date.

No real advice... I've had pink and brown spotting but no red... But I just wanted to say that I am hoping the best for you and baby!!!

Hi @mallyandryan I had a SCH and bled (similar to a period off and on) from about 8 weeks to 22 weeks. Before the SCH was discovered they also determined that my placenta had tried to attach and didn't successfully the first time which caused bleeding. Idk if that would be the case at 8 weeks but it's another reason I've experienced causing significant bleeding.

I had some bright pink/red spotting at around 5.5 weeks. No reason discovered, but I've had a couple scans and everything has been good. Good luck tomorrow and try not to stress yourself out!

Edited to add: Easier said than done, I know.

Same here as vino! SCH with both pregnancies. Bled worse with my son who was born healthy at full term. This SCH seems to have absorbed but I had spotting for weeks.
FX for a healthy sticky babe!!

Totally lurking...but there is an April board, I'm in April 17 too :-) if you are mobile scroll to the top where it says birth month boards, then scroll down and find April 17! I was also an April 14 mom, but wasn't very active. I had a brief stint here in march 17, but had a CP in early july.

Reading this over i don't think I could add more month names in there lol. Anyway hope all is well with your baby. I have had red spotting that led to a MC and some that was nothing with my DD. It's so hard to say. But good luck with your OB appt.

Thank you all. Bleeding stopped. Now I'm lightly spotting this morning. Did blood work and will go again Friday and check levels. Hoping for the best

Just wanted to update. My blood work looked good. I had an early ultrasound (just shy of 6 weeks) yesterday. Saw a tiny heartbeat. It was beating a little slow at 110, but dr seems to think it's because it just started beating. I had a small SCH which explained the bleeding. I have another US in two weeks. Thanks for the support and letting me participate in your board:)

Glad to hear everything seems fine. I had some brown spotting at 8w and found out, during an ultrasound, that I also had a small SCH. My doctor didn't seem concerned and didn't make any suggestions, so i googled. Many other women's doctors recommended taking it easy, so I stopped going for my daily walks and the spotting stopped in 4 days.
