From what I understand a BOX SWAP is done in a lot of different groups BUT for IF specifically its groups of people who send out encouraging care packages

The idea is that you set a budget, send a few encouraging words in a note or card, pack up a book, magazine, a pair of cute socks - IF related, a lot of people send cute pineapple items, maybe some candy and send them off to a blogging/message board friend in exchange for your own box of goodies

I think that is the jist of it! I saw some really cute ones on Instagram

TTC Swap Box Instructions

1. I think we should all put a little blurb about ourselves with the following info

Where you are in the process, Medicated Cycle, TI, IUI, IVF, FET etc

And add anything you would want to share with your swap buddy

2. Decide on a budget

Is everyone okay with $20?

Obviously if you go over its fine, but the set amount is just to make sure its fair for everyone

3. Choose who to swap with

I think once we get the blurbs itll be easier to match people up, once we have those ill make a list of matchups and them everyone can message one another through the message board

4. Set a Date:

Hmmmmmmm. what to share:

My DH travels 300 days out of the year, although they have let him work from home every other week while we have been dealing with IVF which has been great!

I have 3 pups that keep me on my toes

We are planning to move out of Illinois soon

and as luck would have it the Chicago Police Department has finally decided to work on my application after 4 years, so its been an interesting few weeks but definitely not the right time

I think thats about it!! Cant wait to read everyone elses blurb

Where you are in the process, Medicated Cycle, TI, IUI, IVF, FET etc: Waiting for PGD probe to be completed (Hopefully soon!!) and then I can start the stims cycle...

About me:

I'm an architect and DH is a firefighter, so he only works 1-2 days each week due to his (insanely unfair!) schedule. He's not really a "man of words" so he thinks it's great that I have all you ladies to chat with/vent to/get to know during this whole process.

No pets! It sucks that I'm very allergic to both dogs and cats! Maybe one day I'll do those allergy shots so we can get a puppy when we finally move to the suburbs and buy a house...

Sports are big - me with the Red Sox, Pats, and Bruins, and DH with the NY Rangers and NY Giants (luckily he hates baseball, so there's no evil Yankees paraphernalia in the house!)

Love most movie genres except horror, and LOVE to read books! I love cooking - my waistline is a testament to that...

I am in!

Age 41 <<I am not sure this is actually true, I think it should say 31.

Location Just outside of Princeton, NJ

I am in my first cycle currently in between the retrieval and the Frozen transfer scheduled for Sept 1. We have 3 PGS tested normal frosties. And will go one by one until one sticks. I am on estrogen right now, both pills and patches. I start PIO next weekend and then add Medrol to the mix as well. I hate taking medicine! They keep making me take Zpacs before every little thing and my husband gets mad at me because I never finish the whole pack. My DH would say I am somewhat of a hippy/naturalist when it comes to medicine. So the huge amount of meds, blooddraws and ultrasounds has me out of whack. But I am on board and going with full trust that our dr team knows what they are doing and are the best shot of giving us a healthy baby!

Personally, I love to bake and cook (and eat). We have a bichon poodle (in my prof pic). I love to travel to anywhere with a beach. I love sea turtles, otters, whales and dolphins! I am a yankees fan. I work in a high school as a counselor. My office is full of little buttons, bumper stickers, and fun stuff for kids to check out. I like to think I am super creative in an artsy crafts sort of way. For music, I am a Jack Johnson, Indigo girl, folk rock kind of girl.

Where you are in the process: TTC #1 since June 2015, Unexplained Infertility, we're just about to start our first IUI this month (picking up my letrozole tomorrow!)

I'm a veterinarian, so animals are big part of my life, including our scruffy little terrier I also ride horses, do yoga and spend most of my summer in my vegetable garden. We love eating organic produce from our garden and I'm trying to get us switched over to more natural household & personal products, so I've dabbled in soap & lotion making a bit. I should add my favorite colors are purple, teal & mint!

We are currently benched since I've got to do Hysteroscopy and possible D&C during my next cycle. After that we will jump into our first IVF cycle! Im terrified and excited. I've got a great RE and I'm hopeful.

I'm a crafty, artsy, funky junky person. I love reading, love quotes and words in general. We have 3 cats and I have 2 stepchildren who are in college (unbelievable to me). I adore my husband and we are very marriage-centric. I love to eat, but not necessarily cook! I love sweets, anything girly, glittery, pretty, and fun! I'm always up for meeting new awesome people and making new friends! I'm looking forward to having people to share this journey with and I'm super grateful for this board. Not into sports, love to throw parties and entertain. I work from home so I'm usually in yoga pants (minus the yoga) and I'm trying to get into walking more for exercise and healing time. We suffered a staggering loss this year and are healing now. I believe that my baby that we lost visits us in the form of a yellow butterfly so that's super symbolic and our future baby comes as a black and blue butterfly. That may sound weird, but we see them both on a daily basis and it comforts me more than I can explain.

I'm SO looking forward to this and can't wait to shop for someone else!!!

I had polyps removed from my uterus last month and the biopsy came back that they were pre cancerous so we are taking care of that for the next 3 months (one month check up is tomorrow fx everything is good)

A little about us DH is back in school for his MBA and keeps the day job. I'm a wedding minister, and work from home. We also run a Sideshow, he does the knife throwing, sword swallowing, fire eating all the things we were told not to do as children he gets paid to do. We will be married 6 years this Halloween. We love halloween and anything circus. We just bought his family home, his grandfather built it for his grandmother for mothers day in 1945 so we are hoping to bring the 4th generation up in this house.

@jwg9101. I understand about your butterflies I have had the same dream a few times of my dad, my DH dad and a little boy fishing. (both of our father's have past on) and they keep talking about how much fun we are going to have with him.

I know some people don't get it and others get it. They just know, you hit me as one of those people that understand and get it.

I'm not able to participate this time, but I've done swaps in the past and used Elster, which matched everyone up and it only shared your address with the person that was sending to you for privacy, so it might be something to look into

Where you are in the process, Medicated Cycle, TI, IUI, IVF, FET etc: waiting for AF so I can start out 3rd ivf cycle. It will probably be another couple of weeks. We want to do embryo banking and then PGS/PGD testing, not really sure if the difference.

This is tough, almost as tough as the online profile I made for dating. I met DH via online dating website. It was literally like lightning striking when I read his profile.

I love to read, currently reading "The Circle Maker." It about how to pray. I have a shih tzu, Lantana. It's really a perfect name for her since I love gardening, flowers and vegetables. We have Lantana (the flowers) growing in the yard. I love cooking and baking. I like to do creative things, like refurbishing furniture, painting, and the relaxation coloring books. I'm not a super girly, but I am not a tomboy. I tend to like classical, timeless looks with touches of popular trends. I love the beach and have decorated the house in beachy blues and greens.

Where in process: Waiting. Just had my first IVF cycle cancelled due to poor follicle growth. Hx of 4 TI cycles and 2 IUIs.

About me: I am a therapist and DH is an engineer. We have two cats, who I am obsessed with despite my severe allergies. I love books, binging TV shows on Netflix, coffee, bread, Taylor Swift, and baking. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, but don't enjoy rap. My favorite show of all time is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Yoga is the only exercise that I really enjoy, and I think it's because I love the emotional and mental peace it brings me more than anything. I love brunch, mostly because I don't like to get up early enough for breakfast but I'm obsessed with pancakes. Haha. I love meeting new people and learning new things. I try to be crafty but often get ahead of myself and forget that I don't actually have a ton of craftiness. I love hosting parties and planning events. I am obsessed with birthdays and love celebrating them. For my birthday every year, I plan a vacation for DH and me to go to a new city. My favorite color is teal. I think that's pretty much everything there is to know about me!! Haha. I'm super excited for this swap!

OK, so finally... I've been trying to get some stuff done for work before bed and now I wanted to jump on here real quick before I head to bed...

Location: Outside of Pittsburgh, PA

Where you are in the process, Medicated Cycle, TI, IUI, IVF, FET etc: I am getting up early tomorrow to head in for my final beta... We recently suffered a CP from our first IVF cycle and will see tomorrow if my level is back to zero. If all goes well, we plan to do a FET in either September or October.

Hmm... This sharing part is tricky. I teach and am getting ready to start back to work on Monday. This is such a crazy busy stressful time. I always wish I could fast forward to when we're back in routine. In spare time, DH and I enjoy going to concerts, sporting events, etc... My favorite part is tailgating. He's obsessed with all sports Pittsburgh. We also love visiting wineries and breweries... Love trying out new restaurants... I love basically all music... My play list will range from BSB to White Zombie to Bon Jovi (love them!) to Stone Temple Pilots to Tom Petty to Led Zeppelin to 112 to Biggie to Nelly... Also love 80s music! DH is a huge metal head, so that has expanded my musical horizons over the years. I don't know how many Kindergarten teachers you know who have seen Slayer in concert... But now you know one... and I've seen them twice! Along with Danzig, Black Label Society, and Down, among others. It's give and take though, as he's had to go see Bryan Adams, Frankie Valli, Billy Joel, and Phantom of the Opera. I've recently gotten into fitness the last couple of years. As someone who has been lucky to be thin most of life, but never been athletic or into sports, I've really gotten into shape and am proud of that. I've always hated running and worked my way up to doing 3 miles... I also am into Beachbody workouts like P90X3 and 22 Minute Hardcore. It's been really tough for me with the IVF stuff because I've had to really tone down the workouts. It's a struggle because I feel like I've worked really hard to get to where I am and now it's like I'm letting myself go... But I keep telling myself it's for a good reason and I can always get back to it. We're also big fans of holidays and decorating inside the house... We love Halloween and Christmas. We're excited fall is coming... Pumpkin beer, pumpkin candles, haunted attractions, and horror movies. Well I thought this was tricky, and now I can't shut up. Lol. I debated on not doing the swap because I'm trying to pinch all possible pennies with our recent IVF and now FET coming up, but I figure I can do it this one time to brighten someone else's day and my own...

My H and I bought our first house last October and I couldn't be more obsessed with it. Speaking of obsessed - I am overly obsessed with my puppy. She's a mut that we rescued from the Humane Society last December. She will be 2 in October!

ETA a little more about myself:

I am a music junkie and really believe that live music is good for your soul. I saw Bon Iver in concert last summer and it was as close as I'll get to a religious experience. We have a pretty extensive vinyl collection and love nothing more than curling up with a glass of wine and a record on.

DH is a Buyer/Sales Rep - I am an Account Manager. We've been married for 7 years - dating for 10. I am 5 years younger than him! We met while he was a golf professional and I drove the beverage cart (best summer job EVER).

Hey peeps!

I'm 32, DH is 37

We live in Apopka, FL (just outside of Orlando, and I HATE Mickey)

We're doing our first assisted pregnancy in a few weeks. Basically, the IUI but without the insemination part. I'm not optimistic about it at all, but just something to check off the list as we tried.

We have 2 awesome Australian Cattle Dogs, Dexter and Gia. Dex is a momma's boy, or basically anyone who will pet him. Gia is a total daddy's girl and couldn't care less if I'm around. We cycle on weekends and DH is training me to do a 100mi ride, also I do crossfit a few times a week. My mom gained 100+ pounds with me, so I want to stay fit through pregnancy. Also, I love red wine

gimme a good Cab or Pinot and I'm a happy girl.

Oh, we're planning a European vacation in March to keep me busy until I get KTFU.

@katymarie101 that is so badass that you throw knives! I have a set, but not very good at it. And I think I scare hubby when I throw them. You should balance an apple on the sword your hubby swallowed and throw a knife at it! MILLION DOLLAR IDEA!!!!
