My Monday BF spills over to Tuesday TW. Cox continues to screw up our move/internet transfer so we still have no internet at our house. We had to bust out the bunny ears to watch tv last night lol.
@cgss11 that sucks! At least you had bunny ears though.
My TW is our next door neighbor's contractors. The neighbor, who is nice enough but maybe a bit naive, has decided to completely demolish her entire driveway and back yard, which is very, very close to our property line including our fence and our sprinkler system. She has some guys doing the job with a Bobcat thing, and they are basically just ramming the fence, foliage, and yard down, which is making me very, very nervous considering how close this is to our house and fence. They seem to be a little bit careless about the job.
The part that is TWish of her is that she isn't supervising these guys at all. She literally moved out of her house and left them to do this monumentally huge job. Meanwhile, these dudes are showing up at 7 a.m. with their Bobcats and ramming the crap out of her property. It makes me really nervous both on our behalf (I don't want to have a dispute with her or her contractors regarding damages to our property) and on her behalf (I'm worried they are going to seriously screw up her foundation while she's not even paying attention).
Totally first-world problems, I know. We're blessed to have our home and we're blessed to have the tools to deal with an issue with her or her contractors should one arise.
DH is a TW. Growing up we reused cups, rinsed them out after using and used them until we did the dishes. DH has to use a new cup EVERY TIME HE GETS A DRINK! Today I discovered 3 cups with chocolate milk residue. THREE!!!! Why the frick didn't you rinse and reuse? AND WHY DIDN'T YOU RINSE OUT THE CUPS BEFORE LEAVING THEM IN THE SINK OVERNIGHT!!?? UGH!!!!!!!! He never rinses off plates or cups, just dumps them in the sink for me (we have an agreement, I take care of the kitchen, bathrooms, dusting and dishes, he does all the sweeping, vacuuming and mopping).
And my cousins are TWs, as I mentioned in the older Family Driving me crazy post. The one for taking back her boyfriend after dumping him, and the other for divorcing the guy we told her not to marry less than 3 months after the I Dos.

TW is the 'keynote' speaker at today's back to school PD. He is speaking on engaging students and how to 'easily' change our tactics to make it easier. Yet he has been lecturing for almost 3 hrs straight. I'll admit I wasn't ready to get really envovled/engaged, but 3 hrs straight is putting my principal to sleep.

TW - my back. Wow. I usually had some pain/soreness from certain workouts, but today is awful. I went and bought the new Beachbody Country Heat workout, figuring I can do something like that when I don't want to go to the gym for Zumba, or even pull up some Yo Tube Zumba videos for a cardio workout. So far, it's been pretty good. But, yesterdays must have been a tougher one on my body than I thought. I'd normally twist to crack my back, but don't know how safe that is (is it??)... but it's not a great feeling today. Usually it's my lower back, but today... all upper.
At least I have a massage scheduled after work today, so that will help A LOT.

My TW are the maintenance workers at my work. Last night, I had unknowingly stepped onto a floor covered with wet floor wax, causing me to fall- flat on my stomach. No caution/wet floor signs in sight. I was hysterical. My manager told me to go immediately to the ER to check me and baby out. Long story short, we're both fine with the exception of a pretty gnarly bruised up thumb. But it was a long night waiting in the ER. I left at 4:30 this morning, crashed for 8 hrs, only to turn around and go back to work tonight.
TW today is a customer who came up to me and asked when I was due. When I told her around thanksgiving she goes "oh maybe she will be a preemie" UMMMMMMM STUPID WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?!?!!! So I said "she will come when she's good and ready" ..... Dumb bitch.

My TW is the PD I sat through today. It's something that they use an English example and it's difficult to sit through being made to read and write an essay and pretend to be a student when I'm a science teacher and English is not my strong point. It's so annoying! And since I was at a science PD yesterday I didn't have time to finish up last minute things in my classroom until after work hours and worked until 5. I don't have enough chairs for the students I'm suppose to have. It's going to be crazy having 40 kids in one room!

This is the most perplexing, frustrating thing ever. If lecture for hours is not conducive to learning and engagement for students, WHY DO YOU THINK IT WILL BE FOR US?
And then you start thinking about how much the district paid that person to come, paid for transportation, hotel, etc... and you start the school year with classes of 36. Great use of money. Just superb.

This was our day too. We have gone through Inquiry by Design training like 6 times. I get it, I love it but stop beating a dead horse!
And I totally agree on the class size! I have 2 classes of 40, 2 classes of 36, and one of 27. I had to ask for extra chairs today because I was going to end up with kids on the floor!

I feel the same frustrations at my work. My principal LOVES to lecture us during insanely long and unnecessary meetings. It's one thing if it's a keynote you'll never see again, it's another when it's someone that holds weekly staff meetings you can't escape.
@Lisa3379 Its just ridiculous. The speaker at least gave us permission to 'take a call, get rid of that coffee you drank, get up and stretch if you need to.' If you have to give permission for that stuff then why do you take so damn long?!
@ErikandAfton PD can be wonderful. I had several fun and useful ones last year, but making everyone sit through a specific content based one is just torture. I'm sorry that you have such large classes. I was doing my 'modified bedrest' happy dance when I saw that my average class size is 26. BUT I have a sub for that entire Trimester. BOOOO.
@BabyRobbinsAdventure I'm sorry. Staff meetings can be really useful, but every week with a dictator would just make me miserable. I'm sorry. You can come present over my summer conferences Friday and I'll take a day of listening to your Principal.

My TW today is my thyroid. I have hypothyroidism, but lately have been having some new symptoms. I was speaking with my Endocrinologist today. As she was doing the exam, she said she felt what she thinks is a nodule (s). Really? I know nodules aren't the worst thing that could happen, but I feel like I'm overwhelmed already with everything. I can't add another thing to my plate.
