Just had my glucose test... it was terrible. The drink itself wasn't too bad (they gave me the lemon-lime flavor), but about five minutes after I finished it, I got really sick. I got really nauseous and felt weak and shaky. I toughed it out for about ten minutes, then went back up to the desk and told them I didn't feel good. They had me go into the back and lay down for an hour. Hopefully I passed because I don't know if I could handle doing it again with an even more sugary drink.
ETA: I came home and slept for about two hours. I don't know how many people have this kind of reaction to the glucose test, but I'm glad I didn't have anything else to do today!
I had my anatomy scan this afternoon. I guess everything looked good. Team green and it was very difficult not to look or ask. I go into the office on Thursday for an appointment to get the results.
I have my 24 week appt. on Wednesday...good luck ladies at your appts. this week.
Hope that your follow up on Thursday goes well @ve304856. Sorry that your glucose screening mad you feel so sick @jandd2014...hope that the results put you in the cear for GD.
I also have my 24 week appt. on Wednesday. For the first time I'm armed with some actual questions. And I'll get my GD screening instructions, lucky me.
I have my appt Wed. Should be a quick one. I'm already dreading the glucose test which comes next. If I could figure out a way to get out of it, I probably would do so.
@jandd2014 ugh yeah I had a similar reaction. You're not alone. Worst thing was I scheduled it for the same day as the Nick Jonas concert (I was taking my little sister) and felt like crap the whole time. I put on my game face but it sucked. Also? I have to do it again in about a month. I did it early at 20 weeks since I was high risk for GD because of my PCOS. Grrrr. Lesson learned though!

Had my monthly check up this morning. Unfortunately my dr is out of town so had a fill in for now. Everything is looking good, heart beat was 144 and he was wiggling all over! Got the paperwork to do my glucose test in early September, doesn't sound fun!
And the baby is laying on my carpal tunnel nerve, so dr explained that I'll likely have the numbness/pain in both hands eventually instead of just one. Bummer, but it could be way worse and I can deal!!
@mforinger Carpal tunnel is of the devil. Have you asked for wrist braces to sleep in so that you get some relief?
I have another app on Thursday, to check my cervix length and potentially change my bedrest instructions/limitations. I am ready to do battle, but understand if they won't let me change it up then I can just suck it up. I need to be able to work at least 1/2 time so I can keep my benefits, but if I work 1/2 time then I don't get my disability pay so IDK what to battle for. But I really want to be able to work 1/2 a day so I don't start cold after New Years.

@l9i you can do it! I just kept telling myself that if I can make it through this appointment then you will be hone free I also figured that we have already lasted 5 months without knowing, what is another 4 months.
@ve304856 good thoughts! DH and I talked about it last night. We both want to know, but we also want to keep it a surprise. I agree, just surpass the temptation of the appointment and hopefully I'll calm back down about it. I was perfectly fine not knowing last week lol.

@Kate08Young I hope your appointment goes well on Thursday!! They never even mentioned wrist braces being an option? Basically told me there's nothing they can do for it. I guess I should follow up and see!
@ve304856 All went well and YES! It was quite funny because when we left DH and I both say we know what it is and then say the opposite sex. It was quite amusing. I was slightly disappointed that at the end when they went to get some pictures of the face for us baby had rolled over and wasn't showing their face at all so they printed out some really weird spine pictures for us. Oh well, I was just happy to see baby moving all around and looking healthy. As of now baby is measuring about 5 days ahead of schedule and has long legs (definitely got that from DH and not me!).

Had my docs appt for 24 weeks Tuesday and was excited bc the midwife who delivered DS saw me and she hadn't been there for awhile due to her own pregnancy! It was nice to see her, and she let me schedule my glucose test for 25+6 which is early for my office. That is the absolute last day before school starts the following week and I didn't want to take off for it.
I had a really good appointment yesterday. I gained zero weight (I'm plus sized so yay!) and my blood pressure was 122/70 which is down from last time (124/84). That pleased me deeply because my mother had terrible PE with me so I'm trying really hard to eat well, be active and started taking baby aspirin. Eaton's heartbeat was 152. I was told that my GD testing that I've been dreading is still 6weeks away, which cheered me and that I'll have my shot for being rh-negative around that time too.
I gad my 21 week appointment this morning. They said everything looks good with the anatomy scan. I scheduled my next appointment for 4 weeks (25 weeks) and the following one for 3 weeks after that (28 weeks) when I will have my shot for rh-negative and glucose twst. Then it starts every 2 week appointments! I feel this pregnancy is going really fast!
Edit: I also haven't gained any weight this pregnancy (which suprised me bc I feel huge) and the dr didn't seem concerned as I was the same way with DD. I gained just under 20 lbs last time all at the end.
Had my 24 week appointment today, all was well. Belly is measuring on track, up 2 pounds from last time despite the horrid MS, baby's HB was 140. My OB prescribed Phenergan (I think) for the MS and I'm staying on the Nexium since it's helping my heartburn and reflux. Scheduled my 28 week appointment and glucose test; I know I'll need the Rh-neg shot at some point but they didn't mention it at all, should I call and ask just to remind them or to make sure that I don't need it at the next appointment?
Just had a fun morning with the dildocam. Cervix is slowly getting longer, up .18 from 2 weeks ago. Baby Em was sucking her thumb and I have a pic. . The OB I saw today wasn't ready to release me for a half day of work as the one who 'prescribed' the bedrest wasn't in to check with. So I still don't know whats going on. . However he did bring up that E would most likely show herself when they remove the stitch and was pretty confident that I could get steroids at my 34w app. and quit see the diabetes people after next app. and my glucose test.
