  • I made a list last week of all the things I want to clean and I have been checking it off one by one.
Office, living room, dinning room are all organized and cleaned from top to bottom
got the baby monitor and smoke detector in baby's room which now makes the room officially DONE!
DH also FINALLY after many months got our palm tree trimmed up

Did a lot of resting and playing SIMS which is a win!

  • This past weekend certainly had it's challenges - we visited my family out of state and stayed with my parents.  Their old house doesn't have good air conditioning and it was way too hot, especially in the room we usually sleep in (my childhood bedroom). So DS didn't sleep well which meant that neither DH nor I slept well. Despite the lack of sleep, the visit went fairly well. DS got to play with his cousins a lot. It is always so much fun watching them play together!  Now we are going to stay home every weekend for the foreseeable future. Yay!!

  • We finally stocked up on diapers, we have been talking about doing this for months, 1 less expense when baby arrives.

Anyone who lives near a Shop Rite... they have Pampers diapers on sale 2 boxes for $20 each!  And we had a $4 coupon.  So 2 boxes of diapers for $36 (with your price plus card - sale ends 08/20).

  • Had a good weekend with my toddler even though he was a bit whiny at times and I heard the word "No" more times than I can possibly count. We played at the indoor toddler place on Saturday, then played for the afternoon. My parents babysat Sat night while my husband and I went out to Bad Moms and dinner at the movie theater. Sunday, my husband worked late so we went to the fair in the morning, then Emmett and I went up to the lake at my parents' house for the afternoon.  It was a lot of adult interaction for me for a weekend, which I desperately crave and rarely get.

Also - my husband did the groceries on Sunday during Emmett's nap (before he left for work), so 1. I didn't have to do them, and 2. I didn't have to do them with a toddler in the cart. That could be my only win for the weekend and I'd still be happy!

  • Freaking FINALLY got back on here with all of you after a month long hiatus with no internet at home! So glad to be back :) Other than that, car seat is installed, all the clothes and blankets and such are washed and put away, and we're slowly figuring out where everything else will go.

We purged our storage room of a ton of stuff that we haven't used in years. My husband wet vacuumed year old coffee (or beer?) stains off the carpet in the tv room. I washed / folded / inventoried all the clothes we have for little guy (at least thru the 3mo sizes). Pulled out the infant car seat bases, put PNP in corner of bedroom ready for setup, found the stroller frame that takes car seat. Got very excited about not storing baby items anymore after this guy! Found my bin of pumping supplies / breast pads / mother's milk tea (does that stuff expire?) and resisted impulse to throw the old pump out the upstairs window (my old enemy...). So much ish got done, I feel like we're a million times more ready for baby!
  • We also had a productive weekend but a fun one, too!  It was the best balance!  We had family time, DD and I had a Mommy/Daughter date, we got a babysitter (for maybe only the 4th time in three years) so DH and I could go on a date, I had alone time AND crossed a ton of things off of our baby and general life to-do lists!  All weekend, I kept thinking that if this is our last weekend before baby, it's been the perfect way to spend it.  Which means baby won't come for another three weeks, of course.  ;)

  • I had my baby shower yesterday and it was a ton of fun!! More cute little girl clothes for me to wash!  I didn't get around to grocery shopping and conveniently the work drives are down so I see myself leaving early... WOOT WOOT!

You honestly deserve some sort of award for that!  I can barely bend over to pick something up off the floor, let alone get my feet close enough to my eyes/hands to be able to paint my own toenails!  Bravo, girl, bravo!  ;)

  • Took McKenna to the children's museum on Saturday so she could see the new Doc McStuffins exhibit. She loved it, and watching her role playing being a doctor with all the toys was awesome. She was so cute with the stethoscope and knew the right way to use it.
I'm now planning on getting her a doctor kit for her birthday.

Sunday the house got deep cleaned, finally. I feel truly prepared for the baby to come now.

  • We finally installed both car seat bases which has been on the must to list (different than the to do list which is pretty much not happening) for weeks. I also found a used Chicco infant car seat stroller for cheap, very excited to have that.

My sister and her boys came to visit us, and we had such a good time. :) Went to the pool, cooked a lot for the freezer, and just soaked up some nephew time since we won't see them for a bit.

How? I struggle to even shave my legs to my knees and even then miss some
  • I was productive for the most part on the weekend. I had a glorious nap yesterday. DH and I went through the remaining items on our registry and picked out what we want to buy. We also processed our Amazon returns. So I call that a win!
  • Live in the midwest surrounded by corn, so this is a huge deal around here, went to target this weekend and walking in the door I see the BEST sign ever.    "coming soon STARBUCKS"

It probably took 3-4 times longer than it normally would have because I would take frequent breaks to breathe and it's defiantly not that pretty, but from a distance you can't even tell.
