Thursday Ticker Change - 8/11

Hey there everyone. I'm new to the Thursday change-over as a result of a change in EDD. It looks like there's not a consistent Thursday ticker change post, so I'd be happy to handle it if no one else is!

This is for those of us with the following due dates: March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th.

How far along are you? 8 weeks - EDD 3/23

How big is baby? Raspberry!

Upcoming appointments this week? I had my first appointment on Tuesday along with a dating ultrasound. EDD got moved up from 3/28 to 3/23.

Any new symptoms or changes? Morning sickness has been worse during the past week. It allegedly peaks during weeks 8-9, so we'll see if that holds true for me. I had no symptoms other than sore boobs and fatigue with DS, so this is an interesting experience for me.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm really hating the lack of plus size maternity options -- especially in-store. I never really lost my baby weight from DS (and there was a lot of it), so most of my maternity stuff won't fit and I'm starting to need it.

GTKY: Do you drink in your non-pregnant life? If so, what's your favorite adult beverage? Definitely a peach green tea lemonade with bourbon. So delish...

GTKY: Do you drink in your non-pregnant life? If so, what's your favorite adult beverage? Beer, champagne, wine, sake, fruity drinks, pretty much everything. Don't really have a favorite although I really do love Ace of Spades champagne.

My original EDD was 3/5, but I ovulated late and baby measured a week and a half later than expected at my US on July 27th.

How far along are you? 9 weeks - EDD 3/16

How big is baby? Cherry, Southern pecan on the Ovia app.

Upcoming appointments this week? Had an appt last week, but since I was only 8+4 they didn't do a doppler or anything. Next appt's not until Sept 6th where I'm getting an US for the down's screening.

Any new symptoms or changes? My symptoms are starting to dissipate for a few days, but then I'll have a random day where I feel awful, like today. My boobs are also starting to feel a little more tender. I was going down some stairs at work and I literally had to hold my boobs while I bounced down the stairs.

Rants/Raves/Questions? @chrlyr I totally feel you on the lack of options for maternity. I'm right on the cusp of being plus size since I go between a 14 or 16, depending on the brand, and I'm so disappointed with the clothing options as well. I pretty much have to get everything online, which sucks. Where I live, the only in-store option I have is Motherhood Maternity, but I'm not in love with their stuff.

GTKY: Do you drink in your non-pregnant life? If so, what's your favorite adult beverage? I live in wine country in Washington state, so I always enjoyed a nice glass of Malbec or Cab. I miss it!

How big is baby? Wild strawberry or blueberry

Upcoming appointments this week? I had my first appointment and US this morning. I measured about a week behind. Original due date was figured at 3/23 and now looking like 3/28, so I guess I will switch to the Tuesday ticker change group next week.

Any new symptoms or changes? No major symptoms, just tired all the time. The Olympics has me staying up later and watching, so I’m more tired. But I love watching the Olympics!

GTKY: Do you drink in your non-pregnant life? If so, what's your favorite adult beverage? I drank occasionally before I was pregnant with my first child. I love a glass of a great Pinot Noir, or just about vodka anything.

Upcoming appointments this week? No, but I go next week for NIPT.

Any new symptoms or changes? My anti-nausea meds are becoming less effective. I am definitely more moody lately.

Upcoming appointments this week? Just had one yesterday, HB was 168, had a bunch of blood drawn.

Any new symptoms or changes? Feeling a little less sick in the evenings - I can stay up past 9 without dry heaving!

How far along are you? 10 weeks

How big is baby? strawberry/kumquat.

Upcoming appointments this week? had a scan/genetic consult earlier this week. going back in 2 weeks for NT scan.

Any new symptoms or changes? I think I'm moodier now. And I'm peeing all the time...seems like everyone else was doing that already, but I wasn't. Morning sickness is getting better and is more like late afternoon nausea instead of all day puking.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I hate that I'm basically showing already but can't tell anyone. It's really hard to find work clothes that I can fit into and I feel ridiculous and pudgy. I wish I would just really show and so I could just go maternity clothes shopping already.

GTKY: Do you drink in your non-pregnant life? If so, what's your favorite adult beverage? Rye Manhattan. Any strong, not too sweet cocktail. Never beer.

@anonellis I'm also already showing which is odd because I wasn't showing with last pregnancy until 5 months. I just wear a lot more dresses. My boss and a couple of co-workers figured I was pregnant before telling them.

Upcoming appointments this week? had my first appointment yesterday, saw the little nugget, and everything looked great!! Next appt is beginning of sept.

Any new symptoms or changes? I think/pray my nausea is finally going away! I've been getting really lightheaded whenever I stand up and have to give myself a minute.

Rants/Raves/Questions? we announced that we were pregnant yesterday on Facebook after getting the ultrasound and since then Ive already heard of at least 2 other close friends also pregnant! At first I was kinda annoyed but now I'm actually really excited that our babies will be so close in age!

GTKY: Do you drink in your non-pregnant life? If so, what's your favorite adult beverage? ugh thinking about alcohol makes me nauseous haha I'm a beer girl though! Bud light lime is my summer go to!

Any new symptoms or changes? nausea stopped and finally feel like drinking coffee again! Still exhausted...

Rants/Raves/Questions? Sooo tired! Fell asleep on the couch last night. DH woke me up to see the shoot out in soccer but I dozed off again.

GTKY: Do you drink in your non-pregnant life? If so, what's your favorite adult beverage? Yep! Mostly beer (good stuff, no Bud or Blue) but sometimes wine or a G&T. It's so hot here and a beer would go down so nicely! Can't wait for that again.

@MK1013 I received the Sonoline B on Friday for that exact same reason that you mentioned and it's worth it for peice of mind. Since I was only 9+1, I knew not to get freaked out if I didn't hear the heartbeat, which turns out I didn't hear it at all. I tried again yesterday on a whim and I actually picked it up! From what I understand, the numbers for the HR can be off, but I mostly just wanted to hear the sound. So reassuring since my next US for the down's screening isn't until Sept 6. Highly recommend it!

@kiyamurph I have a Sonoline B from my previous pregnancy. I've tried the past few days and haven't found it. I think I was between 9 and 10 weeks when I found it with DS, so I wasn't really expecting anything at 8-9 weeks. I found my own heartbeat and what I think might be the placenta, but that's it so far. I think the Doppler is reassuring, but can have the opposite effect if you aren't able to find the HB after previously finding it.

I agree with you. It's one of those things where I went into it knowing that there was only about a 60% chance of me finding it this early and as hard as it was to not freak out the first time I didn't find it, I had to be rational about it. When I found it the next day it was a sigh of relief.
