How many weeks and size of baby?
    36 weeks 4 days.

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?
Good. But not sleeping so well I am not very comfortable but I also keep having weird and stressful dreams.

    R/R/R?
We finally finished the nursery!! I has a crib and a dresser and everything. All the little clothes are washed (SO cute!!!). The only thing I don't have is a glider.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to?
Tomorrow is my MRI scan finally. We should have the results at our regular appointment on Thursday. I will know if I can have an epidural or no. Then I guess the only thing to look forward to is baby being born.

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport?
I really like gymnastics, in fact it is the only things I even watch xD When I was little I would dream of being a gymnast, never took lessons tho.

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? Good mentally, all this good baby movement is helpful. Physically just slowing down.

R/R/R?  Thinking about @reesaXden ! It's been a long road, hope everything is going well.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to? Next week's appointment. Milestone-wise, I'm really looking forward to 36 weeks as a "close to the end and healthy baby very likely" moment.

    Questions? none

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport? Is it terrible that I don't have cable and so we don't watch the olympics? I'm a fan of seeing some highlights from swimming and gymnastics, and watched part of a women's soccer game at the pub recently. H doesn't watch sports much, but wants to have women sports become part of our screen time at the house as DD gets older.
  • @abberson I don't have cable either. I just watch it online.

  • @alyeena Where do you stream it? NBC? I haven't even looked into that as an option. Do you watch it live or later?

How many weeks and size of baby?

36 + 2; papayas (though one baby is about 2 weeks ahead in weight)

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?

Feeling anxious now that the finish line is in sight.  Physically, I'm sore and having a hard time breathing.

    R/R/R?

I'm so tired of constantly being severely short of breath.  Even laying down, I'm huffing and puffing.  I have asthma, too, which makes it harder for me to deal with because I'm constantly trying to figure out if it's the babies compressing my lungs or whether it's an asthma attack.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to?

37 weeks (full term for twins) on Saturday!

    Questions?

    Nope.

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport?

I don't really watch the Olympics (especially not the summer games; I might occasionally watch hockey during the winter games), so I don't really have one.

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? Feeling well enough physically. Struggling with lots of hip pain, migraines, and all other late pregnancy symptoms.

Mentally, I'm struggling since my PGAL brain is making my anxiety go nuts. Everything and anything will have me convinced that something will inevitably be wrong with baby girl (it used to be that I thought something would go wrong with the pregnancy). So this week I obsessed over her ultrasound images (thinking, is that spot there normal?), over the pest control coming to our house after we found about 5 wasp nests in the backyard, and, finally (posted this in another thread today) over painting the crib and inhaling the dust from sanding it down and the fumes. I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's like, "a beautiful, healthy baby? Nah, you don't deserve that". This thought process started after my loss.

R/R/R? Guess I already ranted up there.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to? I've said 36 weeks constantly but now I'm thinking 37. I want to make it to her having the best chances of coming home right after birth so I can mentally relax. I'll never relax, though.

    Questions?

Gtky: I don't care for the Olympics... I've watched some of it just because it's on but don't have a sport I like best on them.

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?
Pretty good...anxiously awaiting baby's arrival.  My Son came shy of 37 weeks, so I have been mentally preparing for a mid-august birth from day one.  The birth/labor/delivery itself also has me pretty anxious/nervous since my last was pretty quick i have nightmares (really day dreams or w/e you want to call them) about all the crazy situations i could be in (basically all about going into labor while my husband is away at work and i'm home alone with my son).

Physically not too bad, but sleeping has gotten to be pretty difficult.  I sleep solid until have to go Pee and then once i get up to go i have a hard time settling back in :frowning:

    R/R/R?
I forget what all of these R's stand for...but i'm just so glad we are all getting so far along and finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to?
Next appointment is on 8/19...then i start weekly appointments ek!! i never made it to weekly appointments with my son, so i just wonder what this one will be like.
    Questions?

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport?
Gymnastics is certainly one of my faves.  But i've also really enjoyed syncro diving...beach volleyball...really just the sports you don't usually see on TV (yeah, it's great to watch soccer and basketball and what not...but i really enjoy seeing something new...i actually got into watching fencing over the weekend)

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?
Physically: Feeling fine with the exception of the heartburn and the exhaustion...

Mentally: I have my good and my bad days. In order for me to not panic and be excited about baby she has to be moving pretty much constantly. Whenever I have a day that she's being a big lazy I'm convinced that I've lost her. It's completely exhausting and only makes me wish she were already here so I could monitor her constantly and know for sure that she's ok.

    R/R/R?
    Nope

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to?
Since 34 weeks I'm having weekly NSTs done and my next appt. is tomorrow. I also have a growth US Friday morning that I'm looking forward to. I love the dr. appts because they help me to stay sane.

    Questions?
    Not at the moment

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport?
i actually don't watch...if it's on in my house its basically just serving as background noise.

  • I don't read the randoms thread much so I had no idea about @reesaXden.  Thoughts and prayers to her that everything goes great!!

How many weeks and size of baby?
    33 - celery

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? Mentally I'm good.  Physically, I'm exhausted and swollen.

R/R/R? I wish I had started the nursery sooner.  I'm stuck now and don't know what to do with it.  I want a nautical theme and thought I could just switch over my son's room to a nursery seemlessly, but that doesn't seem to be happening.  For now the door is closed and I just try not to think about it, but I know I need to get on it.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to?  Next week starts weekly appointments.  Crazy that we're already here!

    Questions? nope

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport? I like gymnastics and swimming, both men and women.  Truth be told, I'm just so happy to have coverage on something other than the election.  I'm so over both of them and this is a welcome break!
  • Day late - sorry!  I've been without Bump access for 4 days.
How many weeks and size of baby?
    35 weeks, Pineapple-sized

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? Mentally good.  Physically, I am so over the joint pain.  Prilosec finally killed my heartburn, though, so I'm sleeping much better!

R/R/R? Had my shower on Sunday and I was so overwhelmed by the people who wanted to come and share the day with me.  It was really lovely.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to?  First cervical check tomorrow, plus TDAP booster and StrepB.

    Questions? Not today

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport? Synchronized diving is a big favorite, although I also love watching gymnastics.  I LOVE both Olympics, so I'll watch just about all of it.  This past weekend I really liked seeing the soccer and rugby, watched some of the fencing, volleyball, swimming, tennis, cycling...it's basically just constantly on in my house!

  • Always late for everything. Big shout out to @reesaXden for giving birth to her perfect 6 pound 6 oz baby girl!!! So crazy to think it's finally getting to be time for us to get these LOs out.

How many weeks and size of baby?
35 weeks, pineapple. Pineapple with long legs, if the foot shapes sticking out of my stomach are any indication.

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? I'm back and forth mentally between feeling fine and anxious. I know it's not time yet but I really feel like I just want the baby to born. The possibility of five more weeks sounds like torture, maybe also because physically I am really starting to wear down. My back and hips are killing me and I am just tired. Excited. But tired.

R/R/R? I had my work baby shower on Friday and my shower with friends on Saturday and both were really great. I was blown away at everyone's generosity. I really don't think we need a single thing more than what we have now. I wish I would have had the presence of mind to take more pictures.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to?  I was at the doctor all day today - I am frankly a little over it. I'm moving to weekly appointments now, which I am just taking as encouragement that the end is nigh. GBS test next week and prob another cervical check.

Questions? How many of us are FTMs for babies on the outside? I wonder if I would feel less crazy if I already had one at home and knew more of what to expect.

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport? I love US Women's Soccer, I just think the team is amazing and the World Cup is not often enough. They USWNT is coming through Atlanta in mid-September for a match but I am thinking I can't make it due to birth. Dang.

Also I had no idea tandem diving was a thing until yesterday, but it's amazing. Steele Johnson is the best name I have ever heard. Haha. Gymnastics is awesome too, I just cannot get over the US team. They're incredible, all of them.

  • I've been terrible with checking in but I will here! Want to say congrats to @reesaXden on her baby girl!

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?

(Sorry, this is going to be long) Well, as of last night, I'm having major anxiety about labor & delivery. So for the last 4 weeks, my blood pressure has been creeping up and have been borderline high until the last two weeks where it just spiked up. I also got major swelling in my feet these last two weeks. Had labs done, frequent blood pressure checks, etc but other than the swelling and BP, everything came back normal...but my doctor had already been long concerned about me developing pre-eclampsia.

Then I had my 36 week appointment on Thursday and my BP was high and I had traces of protein in my urine sample so she officially diagnosed me with gestational hypertension. Was instructed to do BP checks at home and come in 2 times a week for NSTs.

Which brings us to yesterday...I picked up the blood pressure kit in the morning, went to a meeting at work, and then went home. After taking a nap, I woke up with pain just under my breastbone that was like really bad heartburn. And I tried to alleviate with Tums and eventually ended up vomiting but it just lingered and I was in agony. On top of that my feet were super swollen and after doing a practice BP check (wasn't going to chart until today) I got a super high reading. I called it in to be safe and they had me check again while in the phone and again and it was still high so I ended up being admitted to the hospital. BP was still high when I got here and the nurse mentioned we were going to be here a couple of days...doctor also came in to start talking about the possibility of inducing in the next day or two if labs came back abnormal and here my husband and I were thinking we were just going to be here for a couple hours. Gave me major anxiety and I could not sleep.

After talking with the doctor today, based on everything, I have pre-eclampsia and will likely be induced at 37 weeks (Friday, 8/19) unless thing take a turn for the worse. So unexpected, mentally unprepared, and terrified.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to?
Have a couple of appointments this week and then if goes as doctor planned, getting induced, although I'm extremely nervous and scared.

    Questions?
Anyone been induced and what was your experience, good, bad or ugly?

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport?
Love gymnastics and volleyball (indoor and beach)

How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? Mentally - glad I started drafting to do lists so I can delegate random life tasks as needed. I felt like I needed to be proactive but have turned everything over to God to handle. He ain't me and I ain't Him.
Physically - was in hosp for 4 nights after pulling a muscle doing laundry. Yep. Dr's couldn't find anything wrong even though we told them what happened on admit. Now I'm laying down all day without the guilt I used to get for not being productive.

R/R/R? Being ignored by Dr's and trying not to beat everyone who told me I had kidney stones when I drink a literal gallon of water a day. I have used 500 sheets of TP in 3 days so I am well hydrated. Opioid induced constipation is evil. Don't let them give you something to stop pain without something to keep things moving.

Next milestone/appointment you are looking forward to? Getting past baby shower and cerclage removal.

Questions? Why is it diabolically hot in DC again this weekend?

Gtky: What is your favorite summer Olympic sport? Track. I really miss running long distance and cross country.
