  • How many weeks?
    32 weeks

    What size is baby?
    An armadillo!

    Upcoming appointments?
We are having our 3D ultrasound retake sometime soon. Our first set was really dark and kind of unrecognizable. I've got my fingers crossed that Bean cooperates for those next one.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Our RSVP deadline for the shower is tomorrow and out of 53 people invited only 17 have responded so far. I'm really nervous that more people are going to show up and we won't have enough food.

    Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
The heartburn is killing me. Every time I rolled over last night I threw up a little in my mouth, I finally ended up moving to the recliner and slept the rest of the night there. Sadly, the delicious pizza I had for dinner did not help my cause.

GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song?
I am definitely not a talented singer, but I'd do Fancy by Reba McIntyre.

  • @nataliemaephotography I've sworn off pizza for the rest of this pregnancy, and I'm so sad about it.  I'm craving it so bad but the acid reflux it causes is so not worth it.  :(

    How many weeks? 32

    What size is baby? squash

Upcoming appointments? none until 34 weeks

Rants/Raves/Questions? I had an appt with the midwife who delivered my first, and I'm kicking myself for not just starting out with her!  Turns out, she can deliver at my hospital, so everything will work out great.  She measured my belly, I'm right on track.  She is totally unconcerned with this baby being large, given that dd was large and I had zero issues during delivery.  So no early induction and probably no more growth scans.  We'll just let baby do his thing unless I go too far overdue.  Yay!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Junior Mints have been my jam lately bc the mint helps my nightly heartburn.  Sadly, the midwife did recommend cutting the sweets and refined carbs for the rest of this pregnancy since from here on out is when baby will gain the most weight, and ideally we'd like to avoid a 10-pounder.

Also, I bought a workout dvd, Barre Amped Sleek & Toned with Suzanne Bowen. Anyone doing any prenatal workouts at home?  I've gained a decent amount already, and my midwife recommended getting in 15 mins of activity after meals, and this is broken up into 15 mins-ish segments.  Hoping it's good!

GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song? Oh this isn't even hypothetical, my go-to is always Ace of Bace.  All That She Wants, Don't Turn Around, The Sign...

  • @nataliemaephotography I had terrible reflux last pregnancy and again this time around. This time though I am taking Zantac 75 twice a day since second tri and it has helped tremendously. Also, cold glasses of milk here and there. I will not give up pizza lol.

    How many weeks? 29!

What size is baby? Acorn squash

Upcoming appointments? Aug 24th then to bi-weekly appts

Rants/Raves/Questions? So much pain all the time! Main complaint is back, pelvic and groin pain. My muscles are crap after my first pregnancy and it is killing me. Walking is difficult which brings me to my next rant/rave. I am headed on vacation on Monday for a few days to Disney World and a few days in the Catskills in NY. We go to Disney all the time so I am used to the horrendous summer weather but I really think I might die on this trip. So, looking forward to vacation but not to my body's reaction!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Cravings for all the sweets and carbs. I just had my glucose test done last week so here is hoping I passed!

GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song? Anything 80s.
    Me (35) & DH (35)

  • It's so sad too because I have three quarters of the pizza left over I planned to eat for lunch today (not the whole thing because that may just kill me), but I don't think I even want to put myself through that again. I may be swearing off pizza for the rest of this pregnancy too @sidecarsareforbishes.
  • How many weeks?
    32
    What size is baby?
    Half a gallon of milk
    Upcoming appointments?
My ob is out of town next week, so I'll see her again on the 24th.
    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I'm still waking up at random hours and not being able to go back to sleep. It's annoying.
    Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
    Nothing new.
GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song?
Oh gosh, I would never do karaoke, but I'll say "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls.

  • How many weeks? 32

What size is baby? Mega Chupa Chups lollipop

Upcoming appointments? Starting Thursday, I'll have weekly biophysical profiles (ultrasound) and non-stress tests along with bi-weekly appointments.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Really not looking forward to these last eight weeks of what feels like constant appointments.  And, because the scheduler misunderstood the doctor's instructions and insisted that I have to have my NSTs and BPPs on the same day every week (which was not the case last time), I've got to go in at two different times every Thursday.  Not easy to do with a toddler.  At least my husband can work from home to take care of him.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm very uncomfortable all of the time.  I'm with you all on the heartburn.  My stomach also feels very taut all day.  And I've been craving veggie burgers and french fries a lot (though I don't eat them that often).

GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song? I don't sing in public, but if I did, I'd probably pick REO Speedwagon's Time for Me to Fly, Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley or Don't Do Me Like That by Tom Petty.

  • @nataliemaephotography I feel you about the whole RSVP thing. My mom, MIL, and best friend are putting my shower together but on the invite they didn't include an "RSVP By date", so not many people have RSVPed. My shower is tomorrow and I think that out of the 45 invited less than half RSVPed & even those half only responded after someone reached out to them to ask if they were planning on coming. I have the same fear about not having enough food. Ugh! Why is it so hard for people to just RSVP! It only takes a minute or two!

    @ignoscemihi
I am also dreading the next 8 weeks of constant doctors appointments. We've gotta keep our heads up because in just a few short weeks we'll have our sweet little bebes & it will all be worth it!

    How
    many weeks? 31!

What size is baby? A pineapple ❤️

Upcoming appointments? I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday. I have to go into see the doctor every two weeks until this baby is born so they can keep an eye on my high blood pressure. Just got an email from my doctor last night saying that my preeclampsia lab results came back normal so that's good!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm getting so annoyed with people commenting about the name that I chose for my baby. DH and I chose the name Archer. We absolutely love it! However, I have had some mixed reactions to the name from family/friends. DH's grandma had the nerve to say, "oh what's the name they chose again? ARROW?" Ugh! So annoying! Another annoying comment is when people say, "oh you must really love the show Archer". I've never seen the show, and I've heard it's a super vulgar show! We chose the name because my grandfathers name is Arthur, and we wanted a modern/less common version of his name. We found the name Archer and fell in love with it.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Morning sickness decided to make an appearance again this week. My feet are so swollen that I can fit into any of my shoes besides my Birkenstocks and even those are getting tight. Oh and I can't do anything lately without getting severely winded and needing a break haha. Pregnancy is so wonderful!

GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song?
Hands down: "Before He Cheats" -Carrie Underwood
  • How many weeks?
32- 8 weeks to go! (Maybe)
    What size is baby?
    Squash
    Upcoming appointments?
I have one on Wednesday to discuss our growth scan results. I'm interested to see what they say about how he's consistently measuring big.
    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I signed up for a babies r us breastfeeding class that is today (mostly for the advertised free stuff), but now I don't feel like going. According to the website, only 2 people, including me, are signed up and that could be super awkward.
    Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
I feel really pregnant all of a sudden this week. Constant bathroom trips, belly tightness and heaviness, shortness of breath after any activity, still novsebleeds, heartburn, ugh.
GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your Go to karaoke song?
I actually am a musician, but I have surprisingly never done karaoke. I would probably pick something by Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Those were my belting songs back in the day! :)
  • @kamroberts Ooh! Carrie is always a good pick!
@sidecarsareforbishes I'm glad things worked out with the midwife!
@nataliemaephotography and others- I'm with you on the pizza = heartburn. So sad :(
  • @kamroberts I really like the name Archer. I also really like the show, but that's unrelated

  • @kamarcher People's comments about baby names can just shove it. We have been very quiet about names we are considering this time around and literally the one time my husband tells his sister (and then his whole family finds out) that we like Ellie they all bash it in front of me. F U. My mother still tells me she doesn't like DD's name (Madeleine) but prefers her nickname Maddie and she is two! My Point is, love the name you chose (which I love as well!) and go pregnant hormonal b**ch on anyone who is a naysayer.

  • @socks2819 People are so rude! It's not like it's their kid so they should just keep their opinions to themselves. I love the name Madeleine ❤️ so pretty!
Mom going to take your advice & just go preggo hormonal bee on whoever is a name hater haha!
  • @kamroberts I think Archer is such a cute name and a great tribute to your grandfather without using his same name.
  • How many weeks?
    31

    What size is baby?
    Asparagus

    Upcoming appointments?
OB appt this Friday. My mom will be in town to come with me, so that will be nice.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?

Apparently I should rave that I dont have heartburn. I've actually been very lucky on the pregnancy related symptoms front this whole pregnancy. I'm getting bigger and more tired and slowing down my exercise with random aches and pains and starting to get puffy appendages, but I had a really easy first two trimesters so I'll take it.
Lol I just coughed and farted at the same time. I'll blame it on lying in bed.

    Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
    Cereal, Popsicles, sweets
Chicken nuggets which I satisfied by making DH go on a fast good run the other night.

GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song?
I used to do Korean karaoke with my coworkers ALL te time. Tenacious D -"tribute" was a must perform. I also would sing inappropriate love ballads with my BFF. Ie Heart - alone
    Me: 36 & DH: 40

    BFP:  8/20/2018 - EDD 5/4/2019
  • How many weeks? 29

What size is baby? A Barbie Convertible (or an acorn squash...those two things seem completely different in size in my mind)

Upcoming appointments? Just had an appointment yesterday and my next will be in two weeks, along with a 3D ultrasound (I wasn't going to spend the money, but I didn't get to see anything until the print outs at my last ultrasound and it's disappointing me the more I think about it).

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm measuring nearly 2 weeks ahead at this point, but my midwife has been wonderful in not making me worry about that or bringing up any conversation related to induction or csection or anything. She's so completely laid back and I hope she's the one who ends up delivering me (there are four midwives who rotate and I could end up with any of them, but this one is my favorite).

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I've had to cut the pizza out, too, because of heartburn. I'm hooked on roasted veggies these days, which is good to balance the ice cream cravings I've been having. And I'm addicted to still in their shell peanuts.

GTKY: Regardless of actually singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song? "Massachusetts" by the BeeGees

  • How many weeks? 30

What size is baby? Zucchini squash

Upcoming appointments? Every two weeks from now on.  I have a growth ultrasound at 32 weeks and a stress test every week starting at 36 weeks.

Rants/Raves/Questions? My son's fourth birthday is coming up in two weeks and I have fallen behind on getting any of it ready.  I really need to get his twin bed sanded and painted this next week.  I want to get him transitioned before the baby gets here and I know that if we give it to him as a present, and everyone at his party ooohs and ahhhhs over it, he'll want to switch over even more.
Also, we're having the worst time with ants.  We can't figure out where the little buggers are coming in at and they are just swarming all over our kitchen.  It's super frustrating. :/

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Anyone else getting charlie horses?  I had them for my first pregnancy.  So far, I wake up right before they get into the actual knots, but I have to stretch super fast or they take hold.  I hate them.

GTKY: Regardless of actual singing ability, what would be your go-to karaoke song? Probably 500 Miles.
Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker Pregnancy Ticker
  • @sadeathe I get them pretty frequently too and if I eat a banana, or something high in potassium, it's usually enough to keep them at bay. Stretching my toes upward seems to stop them if they do start to happen.
