Question for SCH ladies

I convinced my doctor to move my dating ultrasound up a few days after I had some brown discharge this morning. Baby is measuring a few days behind what I thought, but had a strong HB at 160. However, they found a small clot "near the pregnancy". The doctor told me it was very small and not to worry because all else looked great. But, I'm hormonal and was a little teary, so I of course felt like she was trying to make me feel better. Does anyone recall how long it took for their 'small' SCH to resolve itself?

    *lurking from Feb 2017* I had one in my 7 week dating ultrasound that was also very small. I was told not to worry as well. I went back today for a check up and it's gone. My doctor told me that with the early dating ultrasounds it's becoming a normal find and they almost always go away. 

    My friends sister had one all the way through her pregnancy and the baby was full term and healthy so even if it doesn't go away there can still be a good outcome.

    this isn't exactly about SCH but it might bring you some peace. With DS he had a small calcium deposit on his heart but everything else was fine, DR said not to worry. He said that since ultrasounds have become so much more advanced they are able to see more details now than they could before and that things like this were much more common than originally thought. I hope everything goes well for you and your little one and am keeping you in my thoughts!

    Thank you @Sarah1253, that is reassuring! My doctor was not concerned at all, and did say they are common. I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope it resolves itself, like my doctor is predicting.

    I had one on my 7 week with my 3rd pregnancy, they said it was super tiny but I ended up losing the baby at 10 weeks. I didn't do testing, but my doctor assumed it was from that because all else looked great, strong heartbeat etc. your chances of it causing any issues is less than 10% though, I just happened to be the 10%. Anyway, odds are in your favor.

    Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the feedback. My doctor said that the chance of miscarriage is only about 5% after seeing a strong heartbeat on an ultrasound, so she is very optimistic. I, of course, spend a lot of time on Google and that 5% number is still scary when you see how many ladies it really inludes.

    I had an SCH in my first pregnancy that wasn't diagnosed until it hemorraged at 11 weeks. At that time, I passed a 6in blood clot and spent the night in the ER. 
    With this pregnancy, I had spotting pretty much from implantation to about 6.5 weeks. Tech found and SCH at 6w 5days. I was then put on modified rest and pelvis rest and by 8w 5days it had absorbed. 

    Try and take it easy where you can! I truly believe that made a world of difference. Especially in how quickly it resolved!

    I can't remember the size but I had a very large SCH (bad) that grew twice (very bad) while they were monitoring me. I bled like a period from about 9 weeks to 22 weeks. I now have an awesome 11 mo! 

    A small SCH is common mama and if I had one I wouldnt be concerned after what I've researched. I hope you have a little peace and glad to hear your doc is flexible for ya!
